Hi all,
I'm trying to install adobe flash to the system partition to save space. I've done it by adding the flash apk and libs to the gapps addon (required for CM6 anyway).
I can see in root explorer that in /system/apps I've got com.adobe.flashplayer.apk, and in /system/lib i've got libflashplayer.so and libysshared.so.
Under settings->applications I can see that Adobe Flash Player 10.1 is present.
In browser settings, Enable plugins is set to "on demand".
But when I try a flash site that used to work, it no longer does. What am I missing?
Thanks for any help,
Phil
possibly this is in the wrong forum... can someone move to general? or should I delete and repost in general?
reposted in general if anyone would like to delete this one...
Hi,
I have an issue with migrating from 4.0.4 (AOKP) to 4.1.1 (XenonHD, stock, JellyBean, etc)... Suddenly after update all media files disappeared. I thought that I've lost them during the update, but I found them using the Root Explorer - it's still in appropriate folders on SDCARD folder (DCIM, 100ANDRO, Camera, Music, etc).
But why gallery doesn't see anything (except some icons/pictures in some folders)???
And the same for music, for example tool for assigning music on ringtones or notifications which comes together with GO SMS also doesn't see any music MP3 files!!!! Why??? Can anybody answer me, what's going on?

Look in folder DCIM, if it have .nomedia file then delete it U can also downgrade to 4.0.4 to see if it happen? Do you wipe everything. U must wipe if go from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1
1. I've made full wipe before flash.
2. There are no ".nomedia" file
Any other ideas? Does anybody face the same?

Do you have RomManager installed?
Check the root of your sdcard for ".nomedia" (Note that it's a hidden file, so make sure you have Root Explorer set to show hidden files).
If you have it, and you have rommanager installed, make sure to update to the latest rommanager, and then delete the .nomedia file and reboot your phone.
If you don't have rommanager installed, but you have a .nomedia file at the root of your sdcard, delete it and reboot your phone.
I'm also having the same issue when I upgraded to 4.0.4
I recall seeing the ".nomedia" file but after I rooted my phone I can't find it anymore. If I move my media files to my externalSD it works but unfortunately 2GB just isn't enough to hold my movies, music, and pictures.
Edit: I've located several .nomedia files on the phone. I've deleted them and rebooted my phone. Still not fixed.
No Media Files Visible to Apps After 4.0.4 to 4.1.1

Exactly the same problem. Started with a stock G'Nex with 4.0.4 installed (flashed everything back to factory and locked the boot loader), waited for the OTA update to 4.1.1, updated then transferred some music files up to /sdcard/music and then.... nothing, no music found by Play Music/Rocket Player/MixZing/whatever....
The only .nomedia file I can find in the /sdcard are in /sdcard/android/data. Deleting that plus clearing data in media storage followed by a reboot does nothing.
Looking for clues!.....

Try this. Connect it to your computer then use search to find all nomedia files. Reboot see if its fixed. If not then use kies to copy from internal SD to external then back to internal. A bit of a pain but after that its fine and dandy

Went to play some music this morning and it's all "gone", and checked gallery for images and it's the same. A solution would be great. I've been using this rom for ages and haven't changed anything?
I am curious - and have noted this issue on my Evo as well as the SIII: why is it that when I restore a backup, files I have added between the date of the backup and the restore of same don't always appear in the applications that should access them?
I can see the files from EStrongs File Explorer but not from Gallery (for images) or music from a player...
TIA
Sconnie
Flashed Jedi ROM to use the Samsung camera to film videos and when I went back to my daily driver ROM cm11 I see this folder in my internal storage. No file explorer will delete it successfully however the app root browser will say it has deleted successful but the file remains. Same for for when I plug it into my win7 PC. The folder contains sub folders one labeled kernel. Like I said nothing will delete this file.
Any ideas on this? Seems to not disrupt the phone but it's the fact that it will not delete that's upsetting me.
Thanks for your help.
Very strange. I wasn't able to delete it using ES File exp. but was able to using Root Browser associated with this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox
Could copy all folders except V4A to your PC and then try to erase the internal memory and reload if nothing else
Greetings Folks!!! :highfive:
I have taken a CWM backup of my phone when it was on 4.2.2 version ROM, before installing a new 4.4.4 ROM. Now, I want to extract a particular picture (probably a .JPG or a .PNG file) from the WhatsApp media folder (located on my internal sdcard) from that CWM backup. I don't really want to restore the whole backup or even the WhatsApp App+Data to get that file. I have installed Nandroid Manager, which can browse the backups, but I don't know where to navigate to extract that picture file. Can someone advise on this, please? Thanks.

GO to sdcard/whatsapp/media/whatsapp images enjoy dnt forget to click on thankx button.
Thanks for the response @Preshak . But I think you misunderstood my query. I know the location of the WhatsApp media folder. The issue is that I took a CWM backup of my phone (it was on version 4.2.2) and then formatted it and installed version 4.4.4. In this process the internal SDcard got wiped, including all the WhatsApp media files. But I believe those should be in the CWM backup. Hence wanted to know where in the back folders would I find the WhatsApp media files.
Sorry to say bro but u cant.
As cwm or twrp dnt backup your sd card data. Excluding android folder..
Press thanks Button
