I want to help - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

hello
I have a phone Ascend P6
But does not support Arabic Language
Can you help??

It does support. But maybe you have the Chinese firmware.
Either way, check settings>language and input - if it has Arabic language.
If not, check settings>About phone> Build number. And post it here so that we can confirm if its Chinese firmware or not, and also if your mobile is unicom version.
And for latest international firmware (which contains Arabic language), download and install this: http://huaweinews.com/2013/12/ascend-p6-b125-firmware/
Installation process is available on that site.

Thank you very much

Seems like you have the Chinese firmware.
Installation steps are easy. Just a matter of copy-paste and click a button.
1) First download the file: http://dl.huaweinews.com/Roms/Ascend-P6/B125.zip
2) Then Unzip it. There will be a "update.app" file.
3) Then create a folder named "dload" in your memory card. Copy the file "update.app" to the "dload" folder.
4) Go to settings>About phone> System update> local update.
Wait for the process to complete.

Good evening, sir
Thanks for your help:good:

[ROM][EXPERIMENTAL]P6-U06 B107 Repack

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
I spent the last 3 days trying to get a way to flash roms, recoverys, etc. Finally, I managed to edit the B107 UPDATE.APP so probably can be flashed using the default recovery
This haven't been tested yet, probably the flash will fail, but we got a chance
You will loose root, this is like a B104 to a B107 update, you may experiment data loss so, backup is recommended
How to install
1- Download the edited ROM: https://mega.co.nz/#!7143GDxA!B5jM-A9FRYpsRs3vReeJSnbnirxLM22bUQt8YhCy8Ro (926.1 MB)
2- Extract dload folder in your sdcard (full route, /sdcard/dload/UPDATE.APP)
3- Go to, Settings->About Phone->Update System->Local Update
4- The phone will reboot and will start the flash automatically
5- Remove the dload folder or rename it
6- Report any trouble or if succeded
7- Thak you for try, it's done!
How to know if you really flashed the edited ROM?
1- Go to Settings->About Phone
Emotion UI Version will display: EmotionUI_1.6-Repacked
If this don't appear and the flash was sucessful, root your phone, and open build.prop, go to the end of the file and it should look like this:
Code:
ro.product.board=P6-U06
ro.product.brand=Huawei
ro.product.name=P6-U06
ro.product.device=hwp6-u06
ro.confg.hw_systemversion=P6-U06V100R001C00B107_SYSTEM
ro.build.display.id=P6-U06V100R001C00B107-Repacked

ro.build.version.incremental=C00B107

ro.build.version.emui=EmotionUI_1.6-Repacked
I got a report that flash fails. Probably there's a checksum that prevents modifications.

No, that's not the point of the rom. It is only there to test if there is a possibility to flash on this phone and if yes, how. This is essentially just a step towards roms that have customizations etc.
Yeah, and, as i said, rom flash fails. I think there is a MD5RSA checksum in the recovery that prevents modification

Well spotted. I just installed the beta version of B11 yesterday. Oh well, just installing this one as we speak. The download is slightly bigger so must be different.

I first had the beta version of B111 and now this one but I think it's the same because unwrapped the UPDATE.APP has the same size as the one from the beta version also there where no apps updated after the install progress.

Are you advising me that this update does format the data partition automatically? The previous update (107) left all my data intact, I was hoping this update would too.
Is it worth the hassle when coming from 07? And why do they keep these out of the phones ota? Is the ota just a ******* of ****** that actually does nothing? Galaxy S has had CM otas for a while - and they dont even have the backing of a multinational company.
Nice phone but the software is quirky, is the wifi-idle no data issue ok in the 111? Screen off and the phone turns wifi off and do not start mobile data. The phone is without data till the next time you turn the screen on or some app wakes it locally. Have had Whatsup messages appearing hours late and took a while to figure out why it was happening.
In answer to my question regarding the data being formatted, I have just completed the upgrade from 107 to 111 using the copy to SD card and run the system updater app method and this appears to have left all my apps and information intact and working as they all were before the update. Phew!
All the problems I had with B107 such as the Wi-Fi problem are gone with this update. If you put the dload folder with UPDATE.APP in it, in the root of the SD-card and update trough the system settings>about phone>update>local update, method you're data will be fine, at least my data was fine after the update to B111.

From B111 (1st step only)
GUYS i think this update is totally the same as the beta B111 update! exact same file size! so i think for those who already updated using the beta B111 can probably just skip this update to save some time

That's the force update method, then you will erase all you're data/files.
For the next update you could use the normal update method (put the dload folder with UPDATE.APP in it, in the root of the SD-card and update trough the system settings>about phone>update>local update) then you're data/files will be fine.

Make sure of several things:
1. Put the UPDATE.APP in a dload folder on your sd card.
2. Make sure the sd card is formatted as fat32.
3. Make sure that no USB is plugged in while you try to update.
4. Make sure that you have more than 50% battery.

Just to flash official fimware (update) You don't need to have root access. All You need is the update file. You can find them here on XDA. Downlod it. Put the update.app file (if it isn't already in it..) into folder called dload. Put the dload folderon your external MicroSD card. Turn off the P6. Put the MicroSD in the phone. Hold down volume up and down buttons together. Push the power on button and hold your fingers still on the volume buttons untill You see the little green guy and the datas written about the update process. Now You should relese those vol keys.. Wait, and after the update finishes, your phone will boot up with the new firmware. If there are datas on your phone's INTERNAL memory, You should save them somewhere, before the update. Commonly the update deletes all userdata from the internal memory.
Oh, it does not have anything to do with warranty 'till You flash official ROMs, and You can go back to previous ROMs too if You want. Rooting will void your phone's warranty.
