Which ics exclusive apps are there or are recommended?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
There's a plethora of launchers like nova, apex, trebuchet, that only work on ics. Also chrome beta is only available on ics.

Might not all be ics only, http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2399800,00.asp

I'm running the nexus at normal speeds 1.2max - what launcher do you guys prefer? I'm not huge into tweaking so a few options would be nice but I'm more concerned with the launcher running snappy

apex or nova are the better
I vote Nova. If you go to the settings and get the beta version (1.3b5 at the time of writing) it's even better, with the Jelly bean code rewrite same as Apex.
Holo Launcher HD + Holo Launcher Plus. Works great for me without being too over the top with customizations. Always runs snappy for me as well. No problems.

+1 for Apex
If you're not into customizing and want just light and fast launcher, just go with stock.

Probably Nova

Zeam

I'm using Nova Launcher and enjoying so far. I didn't try other launchers yet.
And i'm not into tweaking that much either. I'm all stock running Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and rooted. That's all
I bought apex, tsf, and adw but all I use is golauncher. It is the smoothest one of them all for me.

But I have Holo HD and love it, is simple and fast
Question: other than a nice UI and all, whats the benefit of using a nova or apex launchers? More free ram? Faster?
If its sits on top of stock doesn't just collect more ram? If so can one replace the launcher completely?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Stock is the fastest of all if you only care about speed.
Other than that Nova and Apex are almost as fast too(specially Nova), but with customizing options

Atom Launcher.

Nova no doubt. It is way faster than stock if you remove the animations. It gives you the option to speed up/down the animations and transitions and by that you can make the phone blazing fast.

I have used both Apex and Nova.. and Nova is the one I like the best
Zeam is probably the most lightweight

I recently come through a very interesting and innovative launcher by go dev team The NEXT Launcher, may be replacing go launcher in future. It is beta at present but very promising. Try it.
Looks too amateurish, not to my preference.

Great new idea, and it looks fancy
Will use it if they continue on this path - without bloatware.
Looks promising.
Looks nice. Thanks for sharing.

No app grid? Screw this!

Will give it a try
Edit; I kinda like the launcher, and the app drawer is not a issue for me because i put everything in folders. I just don't like the icons

Great find!
Looks good, promising!
If they make hybrid of this look and feel and go launcher without bloathware it should be one of top launchers!
Please keep us informed about upddates.
Cheers for the post. I did try this but there is nothing special after using TSF previously. They have copied alot of their ideas but it just works better with TSF, well for now anyway.

Hmmmm........
Yes. It's looks very nice. I have already see something like this in SPB - mobile shell. It had so many 3d effects and use a lot of memory.
I hope it wont be too super 3d effect full and loose its usefulity.
I like how it's looks now. :good:
Sorry for bad english... i'll learn more and will write better in future!
FYI next launcher is from go launcher ex developer

Was wondering if there was a way to get the S4 TW Accuweather widget to work with Apex or Nova launchers. Looked around but didnt find anything. I bought Beautiful, Fancy & HD widgets a while back but surprisingly I prefer the TW one better.
