Finally got my nexus charger working in my car and loving it.
For those who want a similar setup, stay away from the Anker adapter below...it's hit or miss...total miss for me.

I'm using the Spigen neo hybrid case and the magnets hold good enough even with tight cornering. I also tested with the Spigen ultra thin also. The magnets hold nicely as well but it shifts a bit more because of the smooth backing.

How well does it hold if I place it in a vertical position? =)

Same as I was thinking, some good double sided tape to stick the charger to a vertical surface. Wonder how well that would hold with car bumps and movements.

Actually, it would hold pretty well if you don't use a case. It would definitely slide off eventually during a long or bumpy ride.
Cool. My local Dollar Store sells those rubbery (silicone?) dash mat grip pads. Can trim down to size and place it on top of qi charger. Probably not thick enough to interfere with the inductive charging.

I can confirm that the Anker charger doesn't work! I'm sending it back today. It only has 1.5 mah (although on Amazon says 2.4) and that isn't enough for the Nexus wireless charger.
Their support seems to be familiar with the problem!

Anyone know? Wanna grab one from Best Buy today but want to know if it works
Cant imagine they would since the GT is longer and narrower...
Gonna second this to increase my post count... A nice messenger bag would work tho
Most that I have tried do not. They leave a small gap where the top of the hole to the pouch would normally touch the bottom.
The 10.1 is just a little bit too long. I'm currently using a 10" netbook sleeve until I decide what I want to do...
Wont fit.

There are a few on ebay:
http://stores.ebay.com/The-Fair-Pri...286603010&_sid=62662480&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322
But other than being patient until more products are released, there's not much you can do. Remember, the iPad has been out for over a year, the iPad2 for months and this thing 5 days. Be patient.
I picked up a $10 neoprene netbook bag from the discard bin at a computer shop to use for now. Ideal, no. Functional and temporary, yes. For the first two days I used a bubble envelope - no joke. It was my "theft deterrent bag"...

I swear, that dude is saying "U mad, bro?"
I'm using this one. It's snug, but fits well. Plus it has a pouch in the front for my Mifi and cable.
Belkin Vue Sleeve
The neoprene roocase for the ipad2 is a very tight fit but should give good protection.
This fits, but is a little snug in the width. Got it on closeout for $10 at Staples.
So I'm thinking about doing a mod to the moto folio case and make the front cover detachable and reatachable. The material doesn't feel like it will unravel do I believe if I use a razor blade to cut it off and figure out a way to attach the other side of the lid. Hoping maybe this will make it a little better for the dock however I will probably lose the stand capability. Anyways I got the case for 20 and could probably get it again for that price. Any opinions? Has anyone tried this? Please let me know your thoughts.

Why bother? Fold it underneath when on your lap and u dont notice it. The only time mine annoys me is when i have to charge it
I don't know if it can unravel when cut, but that was a concern of mine as well. I added a 3/8-inch diameter hole over the charging port so that I can charge it with the cover closed. It works great. To prevent unraveling or fraying, I melted the hole (using an old nut driver heated over the stove).
I don't understand the desire to cut the flap off, but I won't question your goal. If you do cut it, you can heat seal the edge with a flame or hot blade.
I just feel like the flap gets in the way but now that I think about it I will probably need the stand capability for school. I may just cut the hole like you said.

So I did it. I really got tired of holding the case open. Now it fits in the dock better as well.

Just charging, that's all you can do really other than plug in some speakers. Kind of bugs me it doesn't have a USB out of the dock. Oh well I only paid $25 for it.
Just put a USB (Motorola Camera Cable) inside my dock tonight. SWEET!
Took some doing, and had top pitch the top weight inside, but it looks pretty clean.
this is the case found on this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747091#
Okay so i just got the case today
My first impression was it looks pretty cool.
Inspecting the case more, i find the quality to be pretty good. It doesnt feel cheap, not at all.
The case is easy to put on, but hard to take off. What I'm saying is, it doesnt feel like the second piece of the case would fall out of it at all.
The first layer of the case is made of Silicone. The second is hard plastic with silicone top on it which gives it more grip on your hand and wouldnt slip when put on top of a table, etc.
The case feels solid and grippy. it has holes for the mic and noise cancellation mic. The case has a cover for the 3.5mm which is great but not for the micro usb(expected that anyways).
The volume and power button are easy to press and gives you a nice feedback. Its really great
There is only one problem that i came across with the case, though its not really a big deal.
The hole for the micro usb port is too small for the charger that came with the phone. But if you force it in, it should go in DEEP.
I have a spare cable like this one so everything is all good

For $6 this case is a total beast.
Quality is great and it looks pretty slick.
9/10
just got my other case today.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/330759812700?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
The case looks fantastic, though. Its hard to put on, like super hard. You have to force it to fit.
What i like about it is that it looks better than the the one similar to it. I like how the charging port is bigger as well.
Only problem i have with it is that fitting, its not easy and requires a lot of force to get it fitted.
Check out the pictures.

has anybody bought 1 of these cases,

i really like the look of the red 1 but it looks like i would struggle to plug the charger in

For the us folks.
I have this case. I use it out of all the cases ive bought. The charger port is too small for the cable came with the phone. But you can stretch the silicone then put it in and it fits. The case is great quality so it will not break easily. Though I bought a new cable that fits better, but it raises the the silicone a little. Its not bad at all though. The buttons feedback is great, i can press them easily. This case is good looking, i just love it.

i like the look of that 1. im gonna have to look for a uk seller for that.
i bought the hybrid case and have found a couple of things i dont like about it.
1. the charger doesnt fit through the case, i have to pull the bottom lip of the case down.
2. the build quality is really bad, and i can see roughly cut edges all the way round the screen
Just received my Elago M2 stand that I ordered from Amazon for $25. My Droid Maxx fits it great, with or without my Diztronic TPU case. It's one piece of solid aluminum, with rubberized feet on the bottom of the base and also in the support brackets. It comes in black or silver. I chose the black version to match the Maxx.
The great thing about this stand is that it has space between the support brackets to allow access to the micro-USB port for charging. It has holes in the back of the base for cable management as well. Overall, it's a nice alternative to the more expensive charging dock for the Maxx that seems to be of lesser build quality and will have to be replaced when the next phone is purchased. This stand should work with any phone going forward.

That's why I made this post, since they don't mention other phones on the Amazon page. It works perfectly with my Maxx. There's room to spare for a larger case as well. In theory it should work great with any phone that has the charging port on the bottom, like the new Droids, the Moto X, or the Galaxy series. It would still work with a side-mounted charging port, just not as elegantly.
I opted for the TYLT VU, as I also get wireless charging on top of the desk stand. :victory:

I have a TYLT VU as well, which I use on my nightstand. I love it but at $70 each I can only afford one of them, hence the search for a cheaper option. Currently using $25 Elago M2s at work and home office, and TYLT VU on the nightstand (so I don't have to fumble around with plugs in the dark). Works great.
