I'm listening to the internet radio on my Note 3. Used it with the mini 3.5 mm cable first, then found the menu in my car media center to hook it up via BT. Got everything connected seems to work fine the sound quality via BT is much better that via the cable.
HOWEVER BT connection between the phone and radio randomly disconnects for no particular reason (I have it set to connect automatically as soon as the ignition is turned on) and every time it connects it starts playing the Samsung tune or whatever music theme even on the top of the radio music.
What could be causing that?
My touchscreen clarion does it to as far as the disconnects go, and music playing through the default Google player vs my player pro.. As for disconnecting, mine just have a issue connecting off hand but best way is make sure the player in the car is turned on with bt enabled and then turn on the phones bt and press play after the connection is made, shouldn't have any disconnects
As for the playing, if it's the same as what mine used to do, I'd free one of the players and keep the main one you use that way nothing plays but what you want.
Hope that helped any..

Yes this is what I do. As soon as as ignition is on BT connects, and the stupid Samsung tune ("over the horizon" according to my car audio system) starts playing in the car by default. I have to go into phone menu and pause that and then start the radio. And then it starts disconnecting the BT so I have to do all those things again (this time while driving)...

Sounds like something with your cars receiver doing like a auto play type deal once connected. The phone wouldnt have a way of playing automatically without being told to.. id check the receiver and see if it has something about auto and changing it to manual, the only thing that should be auto is the pair
I connect my Note 3 to my Kenwood deck daily. Its a bit different scenario but I have no issues with BT streaming at all. It connects automatically and waits for me to switch to Pandora or BT streaming. When connected it stays connected and doesn't skip. I think the phone can be solid with the right receiving device.
The only issue I do have is that the microphone doesn't work when people call me. Works fine if I call them.
I have had zero issues on 2 different Toyota vehicles using the factory audio system with Bluetooth. Phone and media (music) connects. Music only starts playing when I select BT on my stereo. No issues. Probably something with how your car's system is setup.

I have a question for you guys, up until recently last week I had been using my stock note 3 with my 2013 kia optima bluetooth radio but last week it started only connecting to the phone audio ive tried pairing and repairing but only the phone audio connects no media audio, ive tried going into the settings and checking the media audio box but it will only flash for a little and not connect any idea on what it may be or how I can fix it? Thanks

Is there a menu in your car for audio/media/Bluetooth settings? On Toyota, they have a menu for BT Audio devices where you can connect.

lately I've noticed that when I'm using my jambox my phone will pair fine but there's times that it doesn't register that I turn off my jambox so it'll stay "paired" to my jambox or at least show that it is and it takes a couple of minutes for it to return to normal. Any help will be great. Thanks guys
I'm having the same issue with Ford/Microsoft Sync on CM9 Alpha 2. When I turn the car off and back on bluetooth stops working because the phone shows that its still paired with my car. What ROM are you running.
I am sure the problem pertains to the phone bluetooth. If I drive everyday, it pairs fine with my car bluetooth. But whenever I skip a day to drive or don't drive for more than 48 hours, it would have problem pairing up. I then have to disable and re-enable the bluetooth on the phone in order for them to pair.
I have had no such problem with my previous phone.
Well thanks guys, I'm on blazer 4.1. I think it's actually my Jambox. As if it fails to communicate with my phone at times, like when I turn it off my phone still shows it's connected

I think our phones suck major donkey balls when it comes to BT. I've had many, many random, unexplained occurrences that deal with BT. What you have mentioned is one of them. The one that really ticks me off is where the music player will open even when the bluetooth device that I am using does not have music streaming capability.

Did you ever try to watch Netflix while paired to BT speakers? The sound lags 2 seconds behind the image...
When paired to my car (2012 Ford with Microsoft SYNC) the voice call volume is extremely low. Listening to music while using the phone's default player seems ok. It's not great, but I can live with it.
Compared to my old Blackberry 8350 which was working absolutely perfect on BT, the E4GT is just disappointing.
I'm having trouble getting stereo audio to work correctly. I had a SGSII and it worked fine until I upgraded to ICS. At that point, it would only work with my car until I shut the car off and then I'd have to re-pair it. I tried CM9 experimental for the SGSII (which brought it up to Android 4.0.4) and that worked except I needed to turn bluetooth off and on again every time I got in the car. Due to other problems with the build I just decided to heck with it and ordered a Galaxy Nexus.
Here I am with the same Bluetooth issue I had with the CM9 build. It works, so long as I turn Bluetooth off and on before I get in the car and turn it on or shortly thereafter. I have Tasker, so I'm wondering how to get this fixed. Is there a permanent fix, or can I engineer some task that sees my car pairing, turns off Bluetooth, turns Bluetooth on and then doesn't repeat the task again until at least, say, five minutes?
FWIW, I'm running the stock Android build from Google.

Not sure if this will be much help but I've had similar issues. When it screws up, i get a phone connection but not a media connection. My solution is not ideal, but it works. When i press the pause button on my car stereo, it will then connect to media and one more press of the pause starts the music playing.

I gave that a try, thanks. Unfortunately for me it doesn't help. The media app (doesn't matter which) reports it is playing, but there is no progress through the file. If I simply turn off Bluetooth, it starts going. Then I turn on Bluetooth and after a few moments it starts coming through my car stereo.
I have a cheap belkin receiver which I experience the same thing with. I'm glad to hear that it might be a software and not hardware issue.
When I get into my car I have to start the pairing from the belking device or the bluetooth might hang. Which I get around by either reboot or toggle flightmode onn/off.

Same problem with my stock 4.0.4 ICS Nexus.... but with a twist. I was able to toggle bluetooth off/on to get it to work until last weekend. Now no matter what I do media audio doesn't work. Tried un-pairing/re-pairing, rebooting the phone, and toggling media on/off.
So at this point, calls work fine on my stereo but playing media through the speakers doesn't happen. This bugs me to the point that I'm considering going back to my old HTC incredible with CM7 on it until the issue is fixed.

I have to unpair and repair my Bluetooth headset every single time I use it. (phone audio only). Looks like Samsung really borked up BT.
Thinking about upgrading to MDL this weekend to see if that fixes it.
i dont know about bluetooth with car, but i listen to my bluetooth headphones every day at work for hours and i have had no probs whatsoever with my bluetooth. it paired really easy like too easy and that was it.
I guess thanks for the fact that at least it works manually so in my case its a 100% software issue.

Had minor issues (device based) when it was "paired" to 2 devices.
Use Bluetooth Auto Connect from play store. I was having the same problem except mine connected on to media instead of phone. That app fixed it right up.
Mine will drop connection intermittently to my VW RNS-315 head unit and also drop connection to my Jawbone Icon HD. When it drops the Jawbone I often see a message on the screen that says Bluetooth Sharing has crashed. Not sure if this is as a result of the rooting process or if it's a glitch in the latest firmware. Hoping Samsung will fix and T-Mo will release patch soon.
Have yet to have an issue here with my S4 and my JVC Arsenel (Dont remember which model #, was one of the higher single DIN units a year ago though), use it daily and it connects on its own without issue / hassel both phone and media
I experience the same phone only problem with my Ford Sync system, I have to manually check Media audio, but it pairs both the first tube after unpairing. I'll try the Play Store app and report back today. I will say is nice to see voice control over bluetooth has been fixed in Jelly Bean.
UPDATE: Bluetooth Auto Connect (The first one listed in a Play Store search by Jakub Klos) works flawlessly to connect Phone and Media audio. Thanks @Sym_Link!
No problems with bluetooth here, my Pioneer radio in my Grand Marquis, both audio and phone sync flawlessly. However, my Sony unit in the Saturn, will sync the phone no problem, but I still have to manually check the box to sync with audio.
My experience w/ BT audio has been variable. I have an aftermarket head unit installed on a '05 Acura RSX (JVC-NSX1 - http://www.crutchfield.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/p_105NSX1/JVC-KW-NSX1.html).
Note: my headunit also utilizes MirrorLink...which is just flippin' awesome.
BT Media audio seems to be very app dependent. I use Grooveshark and Play Music for my day to day listening, and I find that my Grooveshark will auto-play when BT Connects but if I'm going from a fresh power cycle of my automobile to Google Play I have to start the app on my phone prior to accessing the in-dash controls on my head unit.
Other times I can just select in dash controls and it will play Play Music.
Ironically, since the iOS 6.0 update plugging in the GF's iPhone no longer plays audio (freaking Apple). So if she wants to stream media it's only available over BT. Ah, progress!
I haven't seen anyone post anything about bluetooth issues but I've been having one so annoying, everything was fine until I installed a a2dp app so that whenever I got in my car Pandora started. It started having this issue where about every minute it would disconnect and then 30 seconds later connect again. It will do this over and over and over again. So I un installed the app and still the problem persists, I made the phone forget the car and then sync again but nope. The only way to actually get it to stay connected is when I'm in the car having the issue to restart the phone and then it works until I turn off the car. When this issue is going on I get the bluetooth share has stopped or whatever, I Googled that but the methods I saw didn't work for me. Things like deleting the cache and data for bluetooth share. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are not searching enough as I posted about Bluetooth just about 6 hours ago. If it is any consolation, my music players pauses too somewhat erratically sometimes. I need to press the pause button to get it to play again.
Try flashing the newest saber kernel, I heard it's been helping some with Bluetooth issues, it doesn't help with Pandora avrcp though, Pandora will still crash bluetooth if your Pandora is modded avrcp.
i have an issue with bluetooth and google maps navigation. Seems like the instructions are not always read aloud over the speakers. The music will pause and there will be a silence but no vocal instructions. Sometimes it will pause playing music and I will only vocally get the end of the driving instruction. I'm using power amp for playing music but I noticed it is exactly the same using other players. I confirmed this on 3 att note 3's and 1 tmobile note 3. Any one else?
I have my Note 3 connected to my iO Play and it connects fine. The audio is also good without the problems described from the OP.
I don't use Pandora but I have used YouTube, Play Music, Digitally Imported or internal music and it has never disconnected.
When you disconnected the bluetooth, do you do it on the phone end or your bluetooth end? Try removing the pair on your bluetooth end.
Mine connects fine to my stereo. Music, YouTube, everything. Maybe it's your stereo.

Music sounds great through BT and my Pioneer stereo.
1 gripe is it doesn't access my phone book. I think Pioneer has a BT SW upgrade for stereo that may help.
I use IheartRadio all the time sounds better than HD Radio IMHO.
Depends on the car. Check your dealer for software update to the Bluetooth in car. Just be prepared to pay for a hour labor charge if ur car is out of warranty.

Hate to say it but it may be the stereo in the car. I'm having the same issues in my BRZ as well. It worked fine for a few days but now it's constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. I have the stock radio still. My S3 worked flawlessly.
Looks like I may have an excuse to spring for that new head unit I was looking at.

Anybody have bluetooth experience with Ford Sync. I have a 2010 Fusion, my Galaxy Nexus works great with it, but I'm eyeing a Note 3. BT is an important feature for me, so this is critical.
Mine works great in my Toyota Tundra with the factory Jul stereo. I select Bluetooth for audio. It starts playing the last song that was on from the Google Music app. When I have Wade or Google Maps Nav on, it plays that audio over the music. Can also play YouTube or any other audio from the phone through Bluetooth.

Hey guys ,
So iam having a problem with the bluetooth and its just making me crazy.
I have a BT system in my car (Seat leon) , the phone should auto connect to it and it does , but it only connects to the phone option , not the music streaming option.
IN the phone BT menu both calling and music is marked as active , and yet it wont connect to the music thing , only if i manually disable BT and enable it again.
Please note that none other phone had this problem , my iphone 6+ never had this nor the note 4.
Please help.
I have this exact problem with the H815, and the same car!
Strangely, the very first time I paired it the music audio worked fine, but every time I've tried since I've hit this issue. I even tried re-pairing and it still hit this issue. It seems like the car half thinks the music profile is connected, as BT appears in the "media" input options, and it even comes up with the track name that I was last playing (although this might just be the car remembering it). But sounds doesn't come through, and audio controls don't work.
I didn't see this precise issue mentioned elsewhere (although did see various other complaints about this phone and car BT audio), so I'm wondering if it's specific to the Leon or that's just a huge coincidence?
Well i dont know if its a car specific however , i did try several other phones and so far only the G4 has this problem.
Honestly iam considering replacing it since i always listen to music from my phone , and i have a 1 hour drive to and from work every day...
Such a small thing and such a big impact , unbelievable.
Works perfectly with the H815L on my car. I can hear music, television sound, recorded files,
radio station from tunein radio and everything else... It's not a problem with the device but rather with your
car system or you don't know how to operate it correctly...
dilgit ,
Did you even read what i asked ? , every thing is working when i connect it manually , but when i enter the car and it should connect automatically it connect only to the BT phone function rather then both phone and media options.
When talking with carkit it always cuts voice after 1-2 minutes ,I must press Bluetooth icon on call screen to reconnect again
Hi chundrik,
Have you solved this yet? I am disappointed that theres still no software update to fix this (version 10b for H815 didnt help). I mailed LG who say they think its a hardware fault but seems unlikely to me?

If have exactly the same issue with TaoTronics TT-BR03 (bluetooth hifi car adapter) . First connection is good, reconnecting fails or only connection for phone calls is established. If I press play/pause on the bluetooth adapter then the sound starts and stops from the phone speaker!
I suspect there won't be an update for TaoTronics...
