AOKPK is kang of Android Open Kang Project. It's self compiled using PUB (Project Unicorn Butter) with more stuff included.
This ROM is dedicated specialy for czech users. I start to compile own build because at first I want to add my czech translation into ROM and second in JB (4.1) time there isn't any public AOKP build.
In early beginnings this was just merged gommits in AOKP gerrit and my translations. During time I start to cherry picking new stuff and also try to add some useful features. Recenty I discovered goo.im features for ROM updates and decided to name this kang as AOKPK.
So, what is inside?
All official features from AOKP (https://github.com/AOKP, http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status:merged,n,z)
Compiled using PUB (https://github.com/UnicornButter)
Included forked franco.Kernel (https://github.com/kecinzer/francoKernel) in-line builded with some added stuff (vibration control)
Phone Advanced Settings (aka vibrate on answer), Increasing ringtone volume
StatusBar hide toggle
B&W boot animation
cLock (aka Chronus) with integration into RomControl
Many usefull cherry picks from AOKP gerrit (http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/q/status:open,n,z)
I compile ROM at daily basis so consider it as daily builds.
Few days ago I decided to make "stable" build sometimes, when I got good respons from people.
All builds are available on goo.im (http://goo.im/devs/kecinzer/aokpk/maguro) with Goo Manager OTA update compatibility.
For now recommanded gapps are 20121212 (it's also linked in Goo Manager during ROM download).
I recommand TWRP Recovery and Goo Manager (for recieving OTAs).
Please don't ask about changelog, because I adding cherry picks often and it's very hard to keep trail with it. But I'll try to make changelog for "stable" builds.
And please don't expect much of support, because as it's been told - this ROM is primary dedicated for small group of czech users. Most of bugs are AOKP related because basicaly it's AOKP ROM . So I'll try to solve problems thats are related to my stuff.

So, what languages do we have on this ROM? Just czech and english? Or a couple of others? I'm primary interested in Croatian keyboard, don't really need Croatian language on the whole phone ...
All languages are inside
Where do i change status bar transprency?
Edit: Entering advanced phone settings gives me a FC
Re: [ROM][AOKP][4.2.2]aokpk_maguro
All settings are in RomControl.
What exactly causes FC? I don't have any problems reported.

Well, when i enter phone app - then try to press on settings it gives me a FC - i did a clean install, with wiping everything
Re: [ROM][AOKP][4.2.2]aokpk_maguro
Just tried. No FC here. Very strange.
Thanks very good ROM! No FC´s till now!
It´s the same Franco Kernel as latest 365?
Re: [ROM][AOKP][4.2.2]aokpk_maguro
Did you include this new hiding navbar ?
From aokp website:
Hiding NavBar – if you enable this, NavBar
won’t be visible all the time, you can slide
up from the bottom of your screen and it
comes back!

It's gray because of franco kernel. You can use franco.Updater app or Trickster MOD. May be I can put Trickster MOD inside ROM .

ive been using AOKP for the last 2-3 phones. love the customization but i hate the slow speed. i could just try every single rom but why not just ask the community since im sure someone knows what rom i should be looking at
can anyone suggest a rom that offers the following without compromising speed?
- center clock
- circle battery mod
- cpu clock, io scheduler and governor adjuster
- gamma and multiplier adjuster
- reboot menu
- lockscreen weather
features id prefer but could live without:
- use volume button to move cursor
- some sort of quick torch

Any rom that incorporates AOKP features has the features you listed above. Take the Pacman rom, it has PA, AOKP, and CM merged. :good:
I have JellyBeer 4.1.0 on my Galaxy Nexus -- it has the ability to do the things you have in your "must do" list. It's got a bit of 4.2.2, CM10.X and PA. I've enjoyed it so far.
Disclaimer: I am a n00b! I recently unlocked and rooted by GNex... and JellyBeer4 is my first custom ROM flashed to my phone!
What arianR10 said. Pretty much every ROM other than CM, and probably with the exception of Paranoid Android since it has tablet mode options, are almost identical with other small tweaks and enhancements. Almost any ROM you switch to, will probably feel the same and have all the same options. I personally use Carbon ROM. Its seriously the fastest, smoothest ROM I have used. some of the things you mentioned though, depends on the kernel you use and not really ROM specific.
i tried
rasbean (no options)
vanir (quick but not many options)
ak47 (seems buggy, though its new)
aospa (way too slow for me)
pac (again, too slow.. i think having pa/cm/aokp in one rom slows things down)
i think i tried a few others but no luck
ill keep rom hopping til i find one im comfortable with. thanks
It's good to see that this phone is still so well supported. lent mine with CM10 to a friend. Can't wait to get it back!
Any ROM based on Stock will be very fast. For some reason AOSP ROMs are slow.

You can try my ROM which is in my signature.. D
It's based of Stock Google's Android JB 4.2.2 (Takju)
Stock kernel, but I may change the kernel to CM's kernel, then it's possible to adjust gamma and some other things..
But my ROM doesn't have center clock yet.. I have also tried to get CM's circle battery but no luck, I always get errors.. but I have included another circle battery..
It has CM's Torch app (with widget for homescreen and for lock screen..)
Lock screen weather: (Chronus), but when I have time I try to get CM's cLock (Newer version..)
And when I have time I try to get tablet mode support for SystemUI.apk, Launcher2.apk and for framework-res.apk too..
I used to run XenonHD, it had all the features you specified and more.
Have since moved on to ParanoidAndroid though, never looked back.
i suggest you xylon rom. very good rom with lots of options to customize.

I have a quick question. It seems like since moving from 4.2 to 4.3 it seems like dolphin and next browser scolling lags. It doesnt seem to lag in chrome but in those other 2 browsers it does. It that a bug with 4.3 or the browser itself? Is there a way to fix it? Thanks

Greetings. I am one of the lead devs for Vanir. Do you compile this from source? if you do would you be interested in becoming our official device maintainer? the responsibilities include general bug reporting/testing, updating the device tree and vendor blobs when necessary. not much. also, you can link the official build server in the OP so you don't have to compile/upload constantly.

As far as I know, only Paranoid Android can modify the System UI to achieve these changes. Thankfully we have a PAC ROM (Combination of Paranoid, CM, and AOKP), in the Original Development Section! It does not support Tablet UI at the moment, but I am using it right now, and I have it in Phablet mode, which is amazing, because it maximizes the screen size.
Has the same bugs as CM, as they took the build tree and repos from the CM build, and ported it over, but I've been using it for 2 days, and it is AMAZING. Has Halo, PIE, ROM Controls, and Hybrid Options. you should check it out!

Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op
issues:
- stop flashing the moto X binaries. they do not improve anything for you and aren't even for your device.
- open source camera and launcher3 do not have the same featuers as the google versions. use the latest
banks standard gapps if you'd like these. His gapps are super legit and always up to date.
