Flash of Wicked Sensations 4.3 Beta Failed - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi-
I am trying to flash the new Wicked Sensations 4.3 v.2 BETA. I've followed the steps of flashing the newest version of TWRP and the new MK3 Modem as listed here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581010
Also, I've done the typical wipe cache, system, Dalvik, Data.
When I select Install to flash Wicked Sensations Rom MK3 v.0.2 in TWRP, it fails after about 10 secs. I've downloaded it a few times and even tried it on different SD cards. It still fails. Any ideas of what the problem could be? Thank you..

Did you check the md5? Could be a bad download....try to download again and reflash...also make sure you are on the latest twrp.

Thanks for the help. However, I am still having issues. I flashed the latest version of TWRP 2.6.3.0, installed the MK3 Modem. Since my problems started, I have downloaded the WS beta rom v2 multiple times. I have wiped the cache, Dalvik, etc. before flashing and it has failed over and over. I redownloaded the latest TWRP again and the MK3 modem and tried to flash those again thinking that perhaps my first install of TWRP 2.6.3.0 was bad. Now all Flashing in TWRP fails.
Any ideas? I've done a few searches and I haven't found really anything helpful yet. Thanks again

Should I reflash TWRP, MK3 Modem, and the Rom in Odin?

Try flashing philz recovery...see if that helps. 4.3 has been a total pain when it comes to this. See if that works. Also don't forget to check the md5.

Thanks. I haven't been able to flash anything thru the new TWRP including TWRP again and MK3 modem. I would have to flash Phils Recovery thru TWRP right?

Ok sound like you're recovery is corrupt. You gotta find a.tar of a recovery that you can flash using Odin. Not due where one is I'll look and report back when I find one.

Ok what I would do....go to the download link and get the the latest tar file and flash using Odin. Then if you choose to flash back to twrp make sure you use the latest and flash that zip and you soul be able to use your backups. I thought I heard you being able too use twrp back ups using Philz recovery...but don't quote me on that. Read that thread...I've heard really good things about it.
Good luck!

nevermind - fixed it by installing a newest version of clockwork mod and redoing the install.
Please remember with the newest TMo 4.1.2 base there is a preload partition that is wiped when you wipe cache/dalvik. You WILL bootloop without preload. Jamison has modified the old TDJ wipe scripts to add preload back in and I recommend using those instead of wiping from recovery. They can be found in his Infamous 4.1.2 ROM thread in development.
Can't enter recovery after restore, following bootloop
Hi Everyone,
I was running CM 10.1.2 and wanted to flash Jedi Mind Trick v6. Followed instructions to flash Darkside Super Wipe, then ROM, then Darkside cache wipe. Phone began to bootloop after showing the Deviant Developer boot image. I tried to do a full wipe with CWM recovery but it kept freezing on the cache wipe. When that failed I successfully restored a backup (AOKP JB-mr1_build-6) but was still experiencing a freeze with CWM anytime I tried to wipe. I thought that it might help to install TWRP so I installed goomanager and successfully installed the recovery from there but now I can't get into recovery at all (neither from CWM nor from TWRP). The AOKP is still working as well as it ever did but I'd like to reboot into recovery somehow and maybe even finish flashing Jedi Mind Trick v6. Does anyone have any idea what I may have done wrong here? I'm a relative noob and this is my first post so your patience is much appreciated. Thank you very much for any insight you might provide!

1) You used Darkside wipe with a version of CWM other than 5.xx.
2) You used Goo Manager.
Those are your problems. You need to Odin a recovery to fix it.
You can find a TWRP tar file here:

Get rid of Goo and Darkside.

[Q] [Help] MD5 Mismatch Restore Problem

I tried installing Carbon on my GS3, but the gapps wouldn't work properly, and upon booting would say Setup Wizard stopped and the gapps processes. So now I can't get the Google apps on my phone. At this point I decided just to recover my backup that I did through CWM, but when I try to restore it it says MD5 mismatch...what do I do? I need help.

Just get on Carbon like this:
Flash mrRobinson's rooted stock
Download Goo Manager from the Play Store to install TWRP
Flash Carbon and the gapps from the Carbon thread

There are two recoveries. CWM and TWRP
I suggest TWRP not because I like it better but because it's easier to load. Download Goo Manager, open it, hit Menu => Install Openrecoveryscript
So I should use Goomanager again, even though it messed up my phone last time? I think it was the gapps download that messed it up last time. Maybe the latest version isn't compatible with my device?

They are special gapps because of the Dark UI toggle... Give me a moment, I'm downloading carbon, and finding the proper gapps.

Ok, it looks as though the Dark UI toggle has been removed, so use 4.2.2 gapps
Why not go with SlimBean? Carbon is just a Slim rip-off....

Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
format /system
Flash ROM
Flash gapps
Reboot

Flashing issues need help!

First off I'm not a noob. But nor am I a pro...
Rooted gs4 day 1 before tmobile update. Installed twrp from goo manager then flashed wicked v2.
I've tried to flash Darth stalker since yesterday, it fails every time. Made sure the whole file downloaded
And verified md5. Still fails. Then I tried flashing new wicked v3. Fails as well. Any suggestions?
Only thing I have flashed that did work since I successfully flashed wicked v2 was a cm10.1 nightly but the gapps failed. I currently have a nandroid of stock before wicked v2. Please any advice will be greatly appreciated.

before you flashed Darth, you say you did a nand backup, if so, can you restore the backup, to see if you can recover?
Also, you are not giving many details, like what method use are using to flash and so on. Better details result in better responses.
Good luck.

Hey guys Thx for your help.
What I did was use the flash ROM option in goo manager to flash wicked v3. It worked so I'm guessing I need to install twrp again. It doesn't make sense seeing that all goo manager did was take me to twrp recovery. IDK but from now on that's what I'm going to do from now on.

When you flash roms like Wicked 2, or 3 or any custom cwm/twrp flashable zip file rom you don't need to
install/flash twrp each time you change and flash a rom.
The TWRP recovery does not get deleted or over-written when you flash wicked rom or any other rom which uses twrp or cwm.
This also holds true if when you make a nandroid backup and restore roms too, you don't need to install/flash twrp.
Once TWRP recovery is installed/flashed on your phone the only way it will get deleted/over-written is if you flash
a full Odin Flash rom like for example, if you flash the stock Odin flash rom it will over write TWRP.
Good luck!
It sounds like you haven't downloaded the full ROM. Verify that the file size matches the link you downloaded from. All my failed flashes have been because the file didn't completely download.

[Q] Can't get LiquidSmooth v2.5 OFFICIAL to load on my Sprint phone

It's either a bad download like evoer said, but more likely it's the firmware you're on. Starting with v2.5, you need to be on MD4 before you can flash the Rom. It'll fail otherwise.
The best way to get on MD4 is to go over the Freeza's Stock Rooted Rom thread and grab the MD4 Firmware update zip:
MD4 Firmware:
MD4 Firmware/modem/baseband update
MD5: EEEAFDBE59CF9C5B492B1A591EC92D02
Click to collapse
The filename should be: Galaxy-S-fre3-MD4FirmwareModemAIO.zip
Just boot into recovery and flash this zip. Restart your phone and verify in Settings - about phone that the baseband ends with "MD4." Then reboot into recovery and flash LiquidSmooth like normal.
Let me know if you have any more problems.

[RESOLVED] Help! My phone is stuck on the AT&T Logo!

I am returning my phone to my dad because i'm getting an upgrade and he wants to sell it, so i tried to revert to stock from CM12.1 unofficial nightlies. I flashed the FNJ1 system and boot.img. my phone was on FNJ1. now it's stuck on the at&t logo and i cant do anyhting, any help?

You have to factory reset after flashing back to stock. If you are going to sell it, I suggest doing so from stock recovery.

Where did the rom come from exactly? There are a few that I've seen. Did you check the md5 to make sure the download wasn't corrupted?
Can you verify your bootloader / baseband?
Using terminal emulator (twrp has one built in) enter this.
getprop ro.bootloader

i used Enewman's fnj1 system and boot.img from the general forum here. and i cant boot into recovery only download mode, but i know for sure it was ucufnj1
also the other post is me:
We will need more detailed info if you don't mind.
What were you on before? cm 12.1
What "stock rom" and what recovery exactly did you flash. enewman's fnj1
How did you flash? cwm
You said it "still doesn't boot" but we're able to flash it, do you mean it just won't boot android? yes
Can you boot download mode? yes
What was wrong that made you need to flash the rom and recovery to make it boot, and how did it get to that point to begin with? need to get to stock to sell, wouldnt boot, and the soft brick help said to try flashing stock recovery.
I managed to boot into recovery by flashing an older version of CWM via Odin. i flashed CM12.1 back again and it boots! thank god i have a phone again. any ideas as to what is causing the softbrick?
Hard to say. I do know that enewman17 recommends flashing with twrp, and that's what most people have used AFAIK. So there may be something about the newer cwm that executes the script a little differently. That's purely a guess though. Could've just been a bad flash for whatever reason.

all md5s match and i tried enewman's deodexed fnj2 roms as well and it still hangs at AT&T Logo. maybe it's an issue of returning from Lollipop to KK?
Check the cm rom threads. Maybe someone else there has run into a similar problem. I don't use it myself, so I'm not familiar enough with it to say.
I'll try to do a little digging when I get home. There's got to be some sort of explanation!
(Have you ever tried reformatting /system to anything other than ext4? )

Maybe try another TW custom rom. Just to see if it does the same thing.

It is probably a matter of coming back from an AOSP/CyanogenMod Lollipop rom back to a stock KitKat rom. I have seen a number of reports of people having the same issue of getting stuck at the logo during boot.
I have seen two fixes being reported as working, both are going to make you work to set the phone up for use.
1) After flashing enewman17's NJ1/NJ2 rom, stay in recovery and flash the stock recovery. Reboot into recovery then do a factory reset from the stock recovery.
2) If the above didn't work, use Odin to reflash TWRP or Philz recovery. From the recovery format the internal sdcard. Have the NJ1/NJ2 rom stored on an external sdcard so that you can reflash it from recovery.
