Good Desire battery deals - Desire General

Since the Desire is still kicking major ass (thanks to the Evervolv KitKat roms) i've decided to buy a new battery and keep using the Desire.
So i'm wondering if anyone knows good battery deals.
I'm not interested in extended backcovers, so that only leaves me with the official stock battery and normal sized third-party batteries.
The best deal i've seen sofar is:
http://www.accu-shop.nl/htc-desire-g7.html (official battery for 14,95 euro).
For unofficial battery i've seen:
http://www.interwize.nl/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=52 (thirdparty i believe for 9.95 euro).
Has anybody seen different interesting battery deals?

Search en ebay. Nice prize and more mAh

Ignore all the 2.000mAh+ batteries, they are all fakes. (They are all 1400-1600mAh)
Anyway here you go, $5 free shipping (or +1$ for registered package) http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/...600mah-replacement-battery-for-google-nexus-o
It's reliable store I'm ordering a lot of e-cig stuff from here as well as batteries.

Wow. That's not a bad deal. It looks like the battery is not an official HTC stock battery...but nonetheless the price makes it interesting.
I might try this option...

I would be really careful with those China imports. As you all know, bad quality batteries can catch fire or explode.

I have a Chinese battery and my desire did not expl€¥$¢®®℅℅

Lol

currently i am using Polar Cell Akku, on IDLE its okay 2-3 days, on PERFORMANCE it discharges >2 hours.
i wouldnt bought a chinese battery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2457104 - my experience
edit: will test again this battery on PERFORMANCE enabling Force GPU rendering.

As i said, i'm using ton of stuff from their website including high discharge li-ion batteries - never had any issues, but whatever floats yo boat.

Careful with replacement batteries, there seem to be a lot out there with broken chip. They will report wrong Voltage and a wrong, static temperature.
So there is the risk of overheating.
Do yourself a favor and give them back until you find a working one (here only original HTC battery was OK, all others I tried had this problem )
Better a Signature than a sick nature

Yes been looking for a replacement / backup myself... seems to be a minefield on Amazon / eBay.. lots of cheap fakes around and some used sold as new.
Direct from HTC is pricey but might be worth it.

2430 mAH battery?!

I saw this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-WILDFIRE-...neBatteries&hash=item19c20e4292#ht_2661wt_905
want to know if it's any good.
Also... this anygood? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1500mAh-HIGH-...ltDomain_3&hash=item3f05313e8a#ht_2200wt_1139
Basically, these are just a numbers on batteries like that (cheap, chinese..)
No quality at all, i wouldn't recommend buying this.
Agreed. They dont look genuine at all and may potentially harm your wildfire.
I ordered one. I will tell you how it works after i will test it.
Cool. I was about to order one to test.
Can't wait for the little review

anyone find out if these things are any good?
$10 seems really cheap for a battery.
For a comparison, do you know if you can buy a new battery from HTC and how much they cost ?

Looks like that's what you're after?
hi I bought from ecell and it is good (3-4 days) original less then 2 days.
so no problems at all then?
edit: ecell dont sell the 2430mah batteries
WOW seems to be working.3-4 days instead of 1-2.Good but it could possibly harm our phone.
Usually the reason why certain items are cheap (especially on ebay) is because of its poor quality.
BUT, on the other hand, you cant always judge by comparing prices with big companies such as htc as once its in their possession its usually been through a few hands and they have to make up the extra costs aswell.
Therefore its usually cheaper because its coming direct from the manufacturer, or from a supplier directly linked to the manufacturer in the same country. And of course certain taxes can be avoided by marking the products as 'gifts' when shipping...
i've had my eye on a 3700mah (i think) battery and cover to accommodate the slightly bigger size, as im quite a heavy user and the current battery is lucky to last half a day. the size is a bit of a put off though so i might just get the next one down from that, instead.
Yeaa you're right. We usually pay for the name of the product.Sometimes no-names are on the same quality as those who sells big companies as HTC etc.
im still not too sure on this. But 2430mah in a thin battery?! Doesnt sound legit.
Anyone got the 2430mAH Battery and have some results for us ?
I received it yesterday. I charged it this morning and already it indicates 50% off. I will return it and ask for a refound.
Try clear battery stats first. Then reload. Phone Cant know the right capacity else

Xperia s battery replacement/ mod / possible fix

Hey everyone
So there's plenty of people complaining about the xperia s' battery and for those that are happy with opening their phones up there may be some good news. I was checking out youtube and this person seems to have made a pretty cool mod which allows you to change the battery like (relatively) normal.
I can't post links as I'm new but just search on youtube xperia s battery mod
So that's all good but if I do take the leap and make this mod which battery can I use? From my research it's a BA800 battery sony are using. I found these on ebay uk from china (either search xperia s battery or ba800 battery you can get like 2 and a dock charger for about £6) but as it looks like a cheap third party battery I'm not sure I trust them. To be honest I have used cheap ones before and so have plenty of other people but are they safe?
Think about it with the extra battery it would eliminate the trouble of having to ration your battery when your on a trip or that odd day you are using it heavily etc.
So what do you guys and girls think? I was surpised this hadn't already been talked about on the fourms but I guess it's due to the xs being fairly new and people won't really need to change batteries for a while.
That's pretty clever, make's it seem silly why Sony didn't make the battery interchangeable in the first place.
This shows how to take out the inner back cover http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/04/30/xperia-s-disassembly-guide/
That is a wise idea!:good:
I think I will do this soon. Let's tell you the result and the DIY tutorial..... if it really success.... :>
Hmm...
I have heard something about after you disassemble the device and take the battery out the NFC stops working because it's located above the battery?
It's an interesting video though, my battery is just fine so I wouldn't think about it, but it's nice that someone thought of a way to change the battery easily if needed.
Yes, I did it tonight.
Just remove the back cover, un-screw 10 pcs of screw. Cut the u-channel on the base cover. I have taken many photo and let's upload to this site later. It is now HKT 2:00, I need sleep...
Anyway, successful to DIY the battery replacement modification. Every function including NFC work.
Any update with this? I really want to give this a try.

Could you please post a step by step tutorial to do this? A video would be even better. What resources are essential for this process? Are you having any issues now that you are using a third party battery?
think it's only worth the hassle of unscrewing things etc if you can get hold of an extended battery, rather than still having to keep swapping batteries out. if anyone finds a battery that's say double the capacity of the stock one, let us know and i'll gladly take a screwdriver to the thing

Dream on
xperia mt27i
I know it's not the double power but!!!!!!!!!
Allrighty...
I have done the mod too.
To anyone interested, one could purchase an extra middle cover for the phone and cut the hole in that.
Just in case you do not want to mess up the original middle cover.
Unfortunately, without realizing it , somehow my loud speaker got destroyed during the "transplant" operation, so i am waiting on a new one .(weird situation, i did not even force
the darn thing to come out, i cannot understand what happened to it!)
I did not move the nfc circuit since i never use it anyway!

I got a bigger capacity battery but didnt notice any improvements. After reading a lot of forum posts, my conclusion is that all ofrece the "high capacity batteries" are just regular batteries with higher mAh label. Dont fall for this scam!
What i did in the end is i bought 2 external Sony batteries (2000 mAh each) for when im traveling. I also always carry a chárter or at least a short usb cable. Ohh i also did the mod and use my fake "high capacity battery" with it.
As you can see (read), i hate running short on battery

hi guys, i have a suggestion.
My mate at the workshop modifies batteries which we cant find on the local market when a client needs a new battery.
So what he does is this, he gets the clients old/dead battery, opens it up and removes the cell from inside (keeping the frame and circuit board, then he buys a new battery which has a similar physical size and shape as the client's battery. He opens disassembles the new battery and then puts in the client's battery frame and uses the old circuit board (be careful of polarity).
voila, the client has a working "new" battery.
If anyone can suggest an Original Model battery that has a higher capacity than that of xperia ion from at&t, i will buy such a battery and test on my xperia ion. Coz the battery i have in it sucks. It drains to empty (same day) while the phone is on complete standby without even a sim inside!!

If it's extended then it's bigger size, so maybe you also need different cover. For same diameter battery size, the 1650 mAh is the only genuine Samsung option
up up up
The best extended battery is the 2000mAh by samsung. Although nowdays is too expensive to buy in my opinion (I didn't find it for less then 50€).
I've bought an Anker 1900mAh for 15€.
I still use the official Samsung 2000mAh battery. It's 3 years old now but it's still doing okay.
However I've heard that it's discontinued, so there might not be a way around 3rd party batteries soon... :-/
I have this battery: amazon.co.uk/DIGITALJIMS-SAMSUNG-3500mah-CAPACITY-EXTENDED/dp/B005ZE54PM/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1410651096&sr=8-9&keywords=samsung+galaxy+s2+battery
It's a bit chunky but it lasts for ages. Had it for a few months now and lasts about 24-36 hours, depending on usage.
I just bought the Anker for 15 euro, it is fantastic, it works perfectly and its autonomy finalementer allows me to get through the day with heavy use. I'll recommend it.

ok..so i got an Gallop ??) 1850 mah battery ..but the problem is that i dont get low battery notification..my phone just shuts down when batt is empty..from 20% or something like that it get shut down..any tips? ty
I have in my phone 3500mAh but it´s not really that capacity but hold longer
what we need is an app that can do a battery of tests on a battery in order to benchmark it.

New Battery for GT-I9195

Hi all
Does anyone know where i can find a legit replacement battery for my phone. I look at amazon and they either look too cheap or have terrible reviews. Where can i get official batteries for about 20 pounds or less. I live in the UK.
Thanks
"Craftmann" makes not bad batteries. Check this.
Do you have a link? I heard that only the oem battery was recommended.
I bought it directly from Samsung. There was a review on a german site, which showed that 12 out of 12 batteries from amazon were faked ones.

i just replaced my battery with the oem one although i bought it for like 9€ from a local shop.
although it lasts a bit longer, when it gets to around 30% then its no more stable and it will possible have the the usual behaviour we all know dropping instantly to 20-10% in minutes etc...
anyways....is there something we have to do when we replace a battery? Are there and battery stats or something that we have to reset or tickle so that Android will "learn" the new installed battery is in place?

anyone has any 1900mah battery to suggest please?
Not looking for extreme capacities and stuff, but one that you have tested and behaves just like or close to when we all had the original battery that came with the phone.
Someone recommended the Deji battery but there is no way on earth i can find somewhere else than this Turkish shop
I have been on TechOrbits battery bought at Amazon.com for about two weeks now and am satisfied with it. They have warranty, so if the battery bloats (which happened to the previous eBay knock-off in just one year) I could get it replaced.

i would really go down and get this one
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/39677-of...-1900mah-standard-battery-Reviews.htm#reviews
judging by so many positive comments i think its the safest bet so far, so many fakes....i bought one for 8€ and it sucks badly.its getting close to the performance my 3year old official battery had.
Having lost my original battery and having to rely on a cheap ebay battery I thought I'd try mobilefun. THey shipped immediately, battery arrived in what looked like official Samsung packaging. So far so good, battery lasts much longer than my cheap ebay option and probably longer than my original battery but I dont have any stats to back that up. Battery discharge is slow and steady unlike the cheap ebay option which I've found tends to drop off a cliff when it drops below 15%. I can confirm that NFC works as well. Still early days but the signs look promising.
There are genuine Samsung batteries on eBay, the best bet is listings that include a photo of the packaging. A seller that is closer to home is preferred as well (if your home is not China or Hong Kong, anyway).

I have the same behavior as well with my 1900 mA battery although I bought it from an official store for around 27 USD.
This behavior appeared only few months after purchase.
Now the battery charges in 2 hours and 5 minutes and lasts for 6 or 7 hours only (normal usage).

On my side I'm using a battery from Gadfull (can be found on amazon in some EU country). I've been using one for almost 3 years and for 2.5 years the capacity was good. I will get a new one this week.

Will there be htc 10 battery case

I'm just wondering if there will be a company to sell a battery case
+1, same question
perhaps not since not many people asking about this?
are there battery cases for the M8 or M9 around?
If yes, then you just need to be patient.
Any updates on battery case I've been looking everywhere and m7 and m8 was quicker to make battery cases Samsung Galaxy s7 has battery case already
According to zerolemon
I asked zerolemon if they were making a battery case for the HTC 10. They replied:
"Dear Customer,
Thanks for your interest. We made a plan for HTC 10, but it has not begun yet.
Please pay attention to our official website and Facebook page."
I think there probably will not be any as for other models usually one came out with in a month or two of the phone coming out to maximize sales and the 10 has been out for multiple months so I would say most likely its too little to late from a sales point as most people have already bought theirs and cases also so its too many lost sales to make one now and with the new nexus models due out with a larger battery that just makes it even more of a reason not to make one this late in the game.
Just buy a power bank.
With qc 3.0 will load your phone fast.
