[Q] quick question - Zooper Widget General

Always used zooper and Nova Launcher to make themes, but my curiosity go the best of me and now playing with Themer.
My question is, do I still need Media Utilities to display artist info, and switch between play and pause bitmaps etc.? Or is there now functionality included in themer since Zooper is now integrated? Would like to stick to using Zooper since I am used to it, rather than using the everything widget.
Would rather not need a separate app outside of Themer/Zooper if possible.
Thanks for any help

I'm afraid you cannot use Zooper to control music and show album art without another app like Media Utilities. At least not yet. I wouldn't be surprised if that's planned for a future release, though.

Sort apps alphabetical.

Is there a app available that sorts the apps in the app drawer alphabetical? Launcher pro does this but I want to use touchwiz launcher.

I need to do the same, I used ADW for a while because I preferred the drawer sorting. Touchwiz lets you manually move icons around, but when you've got a lot of apps it's a royal pain.
I switched to launcher pro yesterday and this app sorts your icons in the app viewer alphabetically.

You can always switch to "list view".....not quite esthetically as pleasing but sorted alphabetically....
Although it takes longer but it is much more customizable ~ from the Apps list, select Edit then click hold a shortcut and drag it to whichever page you want.
Eventually you end up with the Apps list not only alphabetical but in any order you wish.
I've grouped mine together relevant to their tasks.
i.e. All GPS, Games, Graphics, Utils, Programs, etc. etc.
"appzorter" downloadable from the market for free works fine to sort the apps alphabetically in the app drawer on touchwiz UI
Take a look at folder organizer, its wicked, you can create your own desktop folders and place whatever apps you want inside, can chose how apps are sorted, default is alpha'

[Q] Best Twitter widget for alternative launcher

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can give me some ideas on the ideal twitter widget for my specific needs, because I've seemingly tried them all and not found one that beats the Sense one (Yes I know most people seem to hate it, but I'm not most people )
In particular, I want a widget that either can replace or work with the HTC Twitter app.
The one feature of the HTC app which I love is the ability to preview the links in a tweet in an integrated browser. I know some other apps do this, but not in such a user friendly way (imo)
Attachment shows what I mean. While I like Plume, and it has an integrated browser, that is only full page - the HTC app lets you look at the tweet while previewing the link.
I tried about 10 apps last night, and the one one I can find that comes close to the same behaviour was ubersocial. Unfortunately, the widget seems to have a problem with sizing on the HOX, not to mention that its not scrollable.
I realise the behaviour I'm detailing above is in the app - but what I'd like is a widget I can use in Apex that will either open the tweet directly in the HTC app (or ubersocial) or another app with similar features.
At the moment I have to use a separate widget to preview the posts, then open the HTC app and find the same tweet and use the preview function. Or use Plume (whose widget I don't really like and isn't themeable out of the box) and read the tweet OR the link, but not both together.
May seem an odd request, but I can't believe I'm the only one who likes the HTC app but prefers using a different launcher?
BTW, I'm mostly talking about web page links - I know that many of the programs show images inline with the tweet.
Any suggestions as to other ones I should try?
Last night I tried the following:
Colorize widget
UberSocial
TweetDeck
TweetCaster
Android Pro Widgets
Seesmic
Twidroyd
Twitter
Plume
Pure Messenger
and none of them did exactly what I wanted, though UberSocial was close.
Any further suggestions?
Gavin
And, that's why we get HTC phones with Sense; it comes fully armed with (mostly) best-in-class widgets & apps. Sorry I cannot be of much help since I'm right where you are - only, I've given up and rediscovered why I go with HTC, and not Samsung, to begin with.
Enjoy the hunt and kindly let us know if you find a worthy replacement.
Cheers
I use Android Pro Widgets, closest thing I've found to friendstream yet and they have good widgets for bookmarks, messages, calendar if you want to ditch Sense completely and go aosp.

I personaly use "plume", The widget is very nice .

[Q] Let a UCCW hotspot skip a song

Hi all,
I would like a UCCW hotspot to be able to skip a song, while I'm listening to Spotify.
I've been doing some reading about intents, but I don't know how to create or use one.?
I'm not even sure this is the way to go.
I'm using a HTC One X, with APEX launcher and UCCW.
Can anyone help me out?
Many thanks!

Not sure if you've already found a solution, but I managed to do this by using Tasker. Just make a hotspot and assign a tasker action to it.
Not sure if this will make it easier or not but Media Utilities added both tasker plugins and shortcuts which can be used directly in UCCW which allow you to control Spotify.

Icons for Folders

I'm sure this must exist, but I haven't been able to locate a good solution yet. On my N7, I just have one home screen with a full screen Beautiful Widgets widget providing the information I want. Then, along my dock, I have folders that are sorted by category (messaging, news, movies, music, books, etc.).
Most of the high-quality icon packs and themes mostly just create icons for apps, not for categories. Of course, I can use an app icon to represent a category, and this is what I usually end up doing. But the little bit of OCD in me is never satisfied with this as a solution. I would love some high-quality icons that are more generic and representative of categories. Does anyone have anything they've found that they really like?

Custom launchers typically have lots of options for folder design and background. That is the missing link. I use Nova Prime. Apex does too if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the response. I'm not looking for the ability to use custom icons though. I'm looking for some good sets that are more folder oriented.

[Solved]Launcher for app organisation

I'm looking for a launcher that will allow me to add apps into a categories. Most importantly I need a way to see which apps haven't been added to a category, like an 'other' group. If that's not available a function that moves apps directly between category groups would work too.
Smart Launcher is the one for you. Go grab it!

Sounds like Aviate does this pretty well and - AUTOMATICALLY. It also has some other creative tricks. Try it.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm interested in manual app categorization and some way of keep track of uncategorized items.
EDIT:Buzz launcher gives me what I want.
EDIT: Apex and Nova! Don't know why I overlooked these.
