Please report back your findings. If it works OK, I'll see with XpLoDWilD when he can merge it. What works so far for me:
- wifi
- bluetooth
- sound (speakers, mic)
- camera (photos, but not video)
- gps, compass
- backlight
- rotation
I have not yet looked into the various CPU settings that the asus guys changed in the rc scripts.
Known issues:
- logcat complains about missing bluetooth/btwrite
- the power profile is different from stock, but both look odd in fact.
- video recording does not work. any one got an idea? Does this work in nightlies?
- youtube hd does not work
Disclaimer:
- XpLoDWilD tried also on older bootloader. If you can make it work with older bootloaders, too, please report as well.
- as usual no google apps included, flash google apps as usual afterwards.

Good man on trying to get this working for us. I have it installed, and it booted fine.
WiFi will not turn on. It is stuck saying "turning on". When I look at advanced Wifi settings it says my mac address is unavailable, and the region is stuck on Europe. I tried changing to US and rebooting but it returned to Europe and Mac address is still unavailable.
Here are some logcats...2 of them are started while the device is booting up and the third is with it already running.

One last Logcat and dmesg
Also bluetooth was working well enough for me to be able to transfer those files to my phone from the tablet.

Yeah the video recording doesn't function here either. Also noticed that HD videos don't play in the YouTube app. It says an error has occurred. If you switch it to SD they play fine

I am running the 707 build now. YouTube and video recording are both working fine. I have all my usual apps on here and they are all working well, and I haven't run into any force closes. Nice job.

Do you think it is better than previous cm versions? I found the new stock (where blobs and kernel come from) much smoother.

Yeah it does feel snappier switching between apps and on page transitions. If I we could disable fsync or get an app2data script going this would fly.

HELP: this was the best Rom ever untill I played a song: the music plays WAY faster then it should
(using Apollo)

Hi guys! I've been using @olvrick's camera from his thread [APP][SENSE][M7]Camera.apk from newest 2.25 base with GIF support and better quality, but it only works on Android 4.2.2, so I made a little repack for 4.3, nothing special.
[highlight]NOTE 1: Camera from FW 3.18 is the same version like the one from FW 3.17.
NOTE 2: There is no camera in FW 3.22 OTA update.[/highlight]

BUG:
When you click on the thumbnail to review the photo, it shows you last taken one and only details are available.
But when you click back once (just once), you are still in gallery, but this time it has options and you can scroll through photos.
Click back once more and you are back to camera.

Just got back from racing track. Downloading ROM, but I need sleep (cause my vacation is over), so expect my reply tomorrow.
EDIT: ROM already DL'ed, so I had to check it out... Flash Camera_422_on_43_v1-lite.zip and you should get another camera. Don't use full version. With lite none of the original files will be removed, so it would be easy to remove this one if it's not working.

confirmed working on AHRD 21 no issues. flashed lite tried and it all worked great. flashed full but didnt see any difference
is the full version supposed to have the ISO icon on the main screen and the ability to make the capture button background transparent?

Confirmed that the Camera_422_on_43_v1-lite is working well on the ARHD 21.0

When I flash this camera, whenever I click on the previous taken picture it links me to opening the picture itself and only has "details" as the options unlike before where you could edit/delete/etc. Any idea how to get it to what it was like before?

Thanks for confirmation! Full doesn't make any difference for you cause you are on close-to-stock (look-like-stock) ROM.
As for the question, answer is no, no extra on-screen options, those would be Viper Cam options you are talking about.

Yes, I just noticed it myself. Didn't notice it before, as I don't use it, just take the shots, then later check them through Gallery. Probably broken links between Camera and Gallery, cause of different Android versions.
Solution is to live with it, or flash restore zip from 1st post, until I try to fix it, but I can't promise a fix cause I'm not that skilled (yet)

Before this mod was created I tried flashing the original camera file for 4.2.2 that this mod is based on...camera itself worked with some minor issues, however I did get a force close whenever I tried to view the pictures I had just taken in gallery.
One thing I noticed was it had more on screen options like ISO etc, it also had the ability to make the capture bottons transparent.
Was that original file Viper Cam? If not I'm just curious if maybe those options broke when the mod was created.

Those options you mention are from Viper Camera. I could ask @Turge, @j to the 4n and @hansbert about using their Cam, if there is interest. Well, I just kinda asked them, mentioning their names here.

I'll try, but I can't promise anything, as I don't use GE ROMs and I'm not a developer, just sharing something that worked for me.

If they would allow the use of it that would be amazing! As long as it is based on the new-er build like this one.
I haven't ever used viper Rom nor have I used the cam from it.. so I'm still confused as to how I was able to have the extra settings.... :-\

[APP] OnePlus ONE CAMERA Ported/Modded (CyanogenMod 11 & 12)

CONFIRMED WORKING ON CM 11 & 12​

Story behind thread: I recently got my ONEPLUS ONE device. Very excited and lured to root and unlock the beast i headed unstoppably to the OnePlus Official Forum and while going through some of the treads and posts i just happened to come across an app, "CameraNextV5" and threfore downloaded it. Then, had a thought (heavenly, i must say, as unintentional it was) of trying it on my other device, happening to be our own S3 (i9300), and surprisingly it worked. Now, sharing it with y'all friends here.
Alright then, after that, not so interesting story being said... LETS GET TO THE APP
NOTE: Am not the developer/modder/owner of this app in any way. It was solely the hardwork of abhi08638 for the ONEPLUS ONE , which can be found HERE​
Now, my little description of the app:​
WORKING:
1. Filters like posterize, mono, sepia etc all work flawlessly
2. Video recording is great
3. Autofocus is great
4. Settings are all effective
Note: There are some "Experimental Settings" bundled in the Settings tab, but i haven't tested them personally. May be will do later or help yourself and lemme know to update here.
NOT WORKING/ERROR:
1. Front Camera
2. Slow Motion rec (NOT INCLUDED actually)
ISSUES/PROBLEMS:
1. When activating front-camera, the app crashes with a dialog, "Can't connect to camera".
After this you wont be able to start the camera again and the dialog is persistent.
2. When trying to activate the Panorama/Photo-sphere the app crashes with the same dialog above.
Solution: None till now, only full-reboot helps. Sometimes, i personally had to Uninstall it and Re-install to continue using.
Note: 1. I advice you guys dont go with those two options (Front camera & Panorama) in this app.​ 2. There's a flashable zip available but, i suggest installing the app just as any other would be better & easy.​

I did mention that in the last "NOTE" as a suggestion though.

Very good work here! The app works perfectly, on my device, the front camera also works. Sometimes the different filters will be stuck and nothing will change, but for me, that isn't a real problem! So I will be using this camera as default

Just installed apk, works on AOKP KK 4.4.4 front cam works too, didnt check panorama and other setting yet

Quite a Rom-skipper you seem to be...

installed on i9300 cm12 unofficial weekly 6 and everything worked except for panorama.
copied libjni_mosaic.so from the V16A zip to system/lib and then panorama started working but regular camera froze when taking a photo.
tried some stuff, ended up installing the stock cameraNext v2 from somewhere while also keeping that libjni_mosaic.so file in system/lib and got the camera working again as well as panorama
no idea if that file is needed for panorama to work but now that it's working i'm not gonna touch it...
would be nice if the modded version worked for me as well but this is still awesome

Camera app works for me S3 neo(i9301i) with BlissPop 1.9 except panorama.Quality of the pics and video is perfect.It would be awesome if someone can fix panorama.

[ROM] CM12-Light BETA

A port from a S3's CM12 ROM for the [SGH-T399] Samsung Galaxy Light .
DISCLAIMER READ EVERYTHING BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS. This ROM was built for the T399, even though it was built on a rom that presumably worked on both models. People with Metro encounter FCs and Reboots when using High Accuracy GPS.

Also the Light in the name isn't because of it's size (yet(?))
Bugs:
- stock Cam still iffy, 3-rd party cam apps work. From personal use, Focal (by CM) works great, Cam Mx is good too.
- Prox/light sensor for telephony (off display when phone to ear) is iffy as well. From my use Gravity Screen has trouble using the light sensor when the flip cover option is not selected (6/10), when it is toggled the use is 8/10. Interestingly, when calling the screen turns off when close to ear flawlessly, sometimes it might not turn back on tho.
- Report if I left some out
--Streaming apps (Netflix, YT, Play Movies) has been reported to be not working. Some report that it's dependent on the .apk version. On the latest ver. of YT it works with no problems on various resolutions.
Oh and also.
I am not responsible to any damage to your device, PLEASE do a Backup of the device on TWRP.

Gps still reboots phone when set to high accuracy, Netflix doesn't connect, Google play movies and TV app doesnt stream due to bandwith issues? I tried the proximity sensor when making a call and it seems to do better than before but like you said still glitchy.

Yes do my FAM just gave to me I was just using to test flash ur ROM lol

As long as you have a spare to continue using to flash roms then I can't deny something free

Also I will be uploading two versions of the ROM soon, one with build.prop (and soon, among others) tweaks and one that I will keep as vanilla as possible.
I will also try my best to keep this method of release. It could take a day or two tho :/ so please be patient.

Downloading CM12-light+0.2 will give you update when I flash
Edit: only improvement I've found is the proximity sensor. It seems to be a huge improvement. Idk if I just got lucky but it didn't turn the screen on at all

When you upload, since you'll be putting both up, you should put vanilla in the name OR just code them with a V in the name. Like CM12-light+0.2V

Edit: only improvement I've found is the proximity sensor. It seems to be a huge improvement. Idk if I just got lucky but it didn't turn the screen on at all

Oh I also added an AOSP Camera app there, did it replace the older AOSP one? Are there 2 instances of the app? How does it work for you?

I only have one camera app (as far as stock goes) and its the same one as before. Still takes a picture but doesn't save it or anything.

There is a function,X-HDR,of this camera app.The pic it takes is very near MIUI HDR.
The version M4.1 is working but sometimes FC,and M4.3.3 can't open on mi5s.
Is there someone going to port this app to our devices?

The new version works very well. Btw, I'm using MIUI.
Didn't try it yet on Los based roms

Are you using 4.3.3 or 4.4.0? I'm using MIUI 7 by xiaomi.eu, and all camera apps can't connect to camera.
I'm not sure about it, as I manually put files in system and added the persist.camer.HAL3.enabled=1 to build.prop.
But I guess the system/etc/msm_8998.xml could be different from 5

I'm using the v4.3.3.
I also experienced that before because of editing the build.prop. All I did is just reflash the rom and install the camera manually.

I extracted the apk from 4.3.3 archive. Work on RR but some features doesn't work like panorama.

That's not the build.prop issue. I kept that line and it's still working. Just delete system/etc/msm8996_camera.xml before flashing and it's working.
msm8996_camera.xml contains the string imx 298, which apparently indicates it's only for Mi 5

If you just delete system/etc/msm8996_camera.xml before flashing panorama is working for me (though not sure if correctly). The one which takes 5 photos to allow you to focus again never worked for me. This is the only feature that snap dragon camera actually attracts me

Currently I found that this app is usefull only for X-HDR mode. Photos is really closed to Stock Miui App quality.
However, panorama photos are very ugly, Ubi focus doesn't work, etc...
But it's a good improvement for our device.

I usually use 3rd party camera apps. There are mods like https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5s/development/mi-5s-camera-2-api-fix-t3622901 and https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5s/development/light-patch-t3616788 which might make los have better libraries (drivers) than stock . I wonder when using 3rd cameras, if los is a better choice. Los (cm) usually lacks some functions compared with stock rom(miui), but it seems now more people prefer los. I was thinking moving to los, but I like the back up apps in miui, and I don't know if everything's working on los

4.4 0 keeps crashing, I now installed 4.1 which works pretty good. Is there a post which explains the various features? I dont know what "X-HDR" is, for example. Also, what settings do you use?
