Low memory problem - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hi
I currently running latest CM 10.1 beta 2, husky kernel rev1 and performance control app. I always suffer in low memory even after restart. I always have 80mb or less free ram. I try different methods like disabling startup and hibernating apps using greenify to free up more ram but same result.
I hope everyone help me on how they phone run smoothly.
One more question. Can you tell me the best settings for vm settings and sysctl.
Thanks you much in advance.
Sent from my GT-I8150 using Tapatalk

It depends of what you use. You didn't provide enough info to see what's taking your ram away. I don't know what you use. You should check what's eating your ram.
Also, if your phone isn't slow it does not really matter if you have 80mb ou 300mb free. ram is there to be used.

Here the screenshot of my running apps. The problem is when I run other apps (like facebook for example) I get lag and forcing my apps to close. Same with other apps.

I'm running CM10.1 beta 2 too and I always get 150-182 free RAM. Everything runs very smoothly, no lags, even in HD games.

Can you give me tips on what apps to be disable and what apps that are you using? I see that you disable less system apps.
Thanks you...
Sent from my GT-I8150 using Tapatalk

I've deleted all the apps that I don't use, Greenified all user apps and many system apps, deleted some /media files and /tts folder, I don't let Sync on all time, only when I want to use email. I use Smartassv2+CFQ, 18% of Zram, KSM on, Purging of assets on, 16 bit transparency on and disabled Dithering. Also, I'm using Hurtsky rev2 kernel. You can use Zeam Launcher, but I prefer Trebuchet due to smoothness, it uses about 10mb more of RAM than Zeam.
This is enough for an awesome performance, stability, smoothness and battery.
I've attached the screenshots with the apps that I didn't delete on /apps folder. It's more easy for me because I forgot some names of the apps that I've deleted.

Need more info, my guess is a background app. Looks like you are stock 100%? That's your problem, lol... Just messing. What is your screen time? Click on display to see that... You're in a 4g area so signal shouldn't be the culprit. Your media is #1 user, but why, were you using it?
More like an hour and a half close to 2..if you used it for like 20 to 25 minutes I would think it's common. Like dude said above me we need screen time, also data technically eats battery away faster than wifi just a thought. Brightness is important too maybe you can try power saving mode, don't expect much difference though. Darker wallpaper helps, but most importantly are you auto syncing and if so which apps it usually starts there. Every little bit helps, most powerful phones have average battery life. Unless you start undervolting voltages and cpu that's where you see the big difference.

Has to be a rogue app. Try wiping the phone and reinstall everything with increments to get to the root of your problem.

At least to my understanding, this is because the stock rom shows the total ram on the device, whereas cyanogenmod show only the ram that is not being used as video ram. With OMAP chipsets, the total ram is shared with the graphics chip, and android 4.2.2 is showing the total ram minus the ram being shared with the video chipset.

You can accomplish that with xposed framework... found HERE:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Then all you need to do is install, the module APP seething! And you can perform any dpi changes you want on any Rom of your choice!!

[Q] Why are people running ART?

Hey guys,
Browsing across the forums, it seems there are quiet a few devoted ART users...in a nut shell, why?
Am I missing out on anything enjoying Xposed and the Dalvik run time?
I've read up about ART -v- Dalvik, from what I understood, ART is still in developmental stages, not fully perfected and not always best in performance.
I tried it on my M8 when it was stock, my Quadrant score dropped by 10k, and I couldn't see much of a difference so just ran Dalvik ever since.
Why does anyone ever tinker? Curiosity. Experimentation. Herd mentality.
Personally I'll just wait for a time when Google start using it full time.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
In no rush myself, tried it and couldn't really see any difference excellent xposed framework wouldn't work and that's a must
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I use ART, it started after just tinkering. Generally, iirc, apps aren't native to the Android system, so the dalvik runtime exists to compile them to work when you open the app. ART compiles it from the first boot, and saves it that way to prevent extra cpu usage each time you boot up the app. I generally get very good battery life, and although it may very well be placebo or 0.1ms difference, the phones responsiveness to opening apps seems smoother. Always worth giving it a shot and seeing if it sticks with you as well.
