Hi Guys,
As many of you may know, there is a common issue with all aosp roms, at least, all I've checked, related to the bluetooth.
For those who doesn't know what i'm talking about, the problem is this: while calling using any BT headset / car kit, the phone app freezes After the second / third call and you will no longer hear anything Until reboot.
Well, I've checked several roms, and all of them have the same issue.. I just would like to share this information and ask If someone has found any aosp rom that works correctly.
I've checked omnirom, slimkat, probam, paranoidandroid... and all of them have the problem. Of course, I tested using latest version available (03-01-14), fresh clean install, stock kernel, etc...

I've bounced around a number of different AOSP/CM12.1 based lollipop roms lately and Hangouts video calling seems to work on none of them. The app opens up and sends messages without issue, but when I try to make or accept a video call I get the error "Sorry, Hangouts has stopped working" or something like that. The app doesn't crash, I just get that message and the video call ends. I've tried this over the last few months on various versions of CM12.1 official nightlies, BlissPop, SlimLP, and AICP. I haven't tried a TouchWiz ROM, because, frankly, I've no desire to stay on it even if it works.
To make sure it wasn't something silly I was doing (and to get the functionality back) I just flashed an unofficial CM11 ROM and it works without a hitch.
Is this a commonly known problem? Is there any fix I can do? Any ROM you can recommend that doesn't have this problem? I'd love to be on lollipop, as I've gotten rather accustomed to it, but this functionality is one of the reasons I bought the tablet. Thanks!
I wanted to chime in and say that I'm having the same issue. I am unable to make any video calls in Hangouts on any rom besides the stock rom. I have tried multiple roms from [ROM][6.0.1] Android 6 - Marshmallow and [T700/T705/T800/T805] [5.1.1] Resurrection Remix v5.5.9, following the directions on wiping everything, newest bootloader...
Any help would be appreciated!
Edited to add: I have also tried multiple gapps from nano to the graphical installer.
Title says it all.
I've tried numerous ROM's from moonlight, and they worked great up until recently where I cannot get rotation to work at all. I have instaled ColorOS 2.0 as a substrate package, but still doesnt work.
The previous ROM I used was moonlight's Blisspop port, because rotation worked. Then I stopped receiving mobile signal so I changed ROM. Now I have mobile signal, but no rotation.
Mokee also does not work, and they have open issues of this on their bug tracker, but no responses. So I assume they are ignoring it.
Prefer latest ROM's of course, but as long as rotation works I don't mind. Any help is appreciated.
Sorry to do this, but, bumping post. Lack of rotation is killing me. Using a manual rotation app just doesn't cut it.
Anyone have any idea on a way to 'fix' the issue? I assume it must be software based, seeing as it worked in previous ROMs. Definitely not hardware, as I am not the only one with the issue, according to the bug reports on MokeeDev tracker. Alternatively, it seems that it could be an issue with the Oppo firmware, as the issues reported are on various Oppo devices.
PS. Rotation works on older versions of Android. It is only an issue on Lollipop ROMs. I tested this with a ColorOS 2 ROM. Moonlight, the dev of the Lollipop ROMs says that for rotation to work you must first install ColorOS 2.0 as a substrate package. I did this, rotation worked fine. Booted to TWRP, wiped and installed Lollipop and rotation does not work.
Seriously need some help here guys, if anyone can provide any it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, same thing is happen to me when using lollipop.
Hi Guys!
I already posted this in the specific SM-G935F thread, but maybe my two problems are not device-specific and some user of other phones had this issues or have an idea what cause my problems.
After searching in the internet and many forums I think that I am the only person in this world, who have this problems.
My Phone: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F/hero2lte)
Important: These two problems don't occur with the stock rom and everything worked.
I tested this by installing the original samsung rom (Android 6 and 7).
Also with Superman-ROM these problems don't occur.
Only with LineageOS and RessurectionROM (based on Lineage) I have this problems.
What I did (or not):
- ODIN: Installed latest version of TWRP
- TWRP: Installed SuperSU 2.83 and "dm-verity-disabler"
- TWRP: Installed latest LineageOS-Build (Full Wipe) + latest GApps (Pico) + addonsu-arm64
- I did not install any other apps in Lineage
- I did not change any settings
-> I have a clean version of LineageOS on my phone.
Problem 1:
During calls, when I turn on the loudspeakers, I can hear the other person, but I can not be heared by the other person anymore.
Then I turn off the loudspeakers and everthing switches: the other person can hear me now, but I can not hear the other person.
When I'm turning the loudspeakers again it will switch again (I hear the other, I'm not heared).
And so on, and so on ...
Problem 2:
Screen rotation from portrait to landscape mode ONLY works with the gallery and the icons of the camera.
In any other app (Browser, Messages, Settings ...) the screen stays in portrait mode.
And yes, I checked in the settings if screen rotation is active.
I found a solution with the app "Rotation Lock Adaptive", which automatically rotates the screen how it should be.
But that is unsatisfactory, I don't want a additional app to do core-function.
I don't believe the problems occur due hardware issues or what do your think? Beeing on stock rom everything works fine.
Greetz,
Isenberg
Really nobody has an idea what could cause my problems?

I have not
I experience the exact same problems. Flashed lastest stock-firmware (excluding system & data) and the latest official lineage os.
Sometimes rotation works, but most the time not.
Hello
I just recently bought a Redmi 8T that has MIUI Global 11.0.9 installed.
I am not so keen on MIUI, it looks great but I just feel more comfortable using an aosp based rom.
I see there are quite a few custom roms for these devices. Can anyone recommend an aosp based rom that is stable enough as a daily drive? I don't mind so much about having the latest Android version, I'd prefer stability than the latest.
A few added features to the rom would be even better,
Thanks,
I tried pixel experience, paranoid android, and as usual, lineage. I found paranoid to be the best so far, with pixel experience being second and lineage the "worst".
Why so?
PE I tried to return to, yet something worked wrong and after I flashed the ROM, device said there's no OS. That's why it's second, otherwise I liked it.
With lineage, whatever is said to work does work, but there's one huge problem for me: when I plug in my earphones, apps like WhatsApp or Telegram go mad. Also with lineage I am stuck with using only raw_sensor, and I don't like it. Yet if/when they'll fix this earphone problem, I'm considering returning to it simply because they way I'm used to using my phone is more possible by it.
There are some things I don't like with paranoid, which you can read from the thread if you like, but for now I'm there and can recommend with its limitations.

Is the VoLTE/VoWiFi wrong incomming call identification bug present in this ROM?
Does BT works good?
How about Google Pay and bank apps?
This is probably the last one I didn't try so far...
I tryed all aosp base rom,(pixel EXP./pixyOS,/havoc os/etc) the best for me is "ExtendedUI" work very well,
Or if u like with so much modes "Bliss ROM" work fine
I've had this issue that is stopping me of fully enjoying any custom rom:
on MIUI roms (miuiVN, XiaomiEU) my car is showing song metadata when connected through BT. but on every custom rom it will not. I tried to mimic the BT setting in developer options, tried to play with the different BT avrcp options, but nothing works.
any help will be highly appreciated
thanks
Hi,
could you fix this issue?
Just updated to another rom or recent version.
Currently using latest crDroid and it works for me
