Galaxy s2 extended battery kit or Anker battery? - Galaxy S II Accessories

Which one is the best for the price?
Which do you recommend?
Thanks

Well, i'm a bit biased
also (and i'm the first to admit it), when it comes to gadgets, i'm a bit of a cheapskate.
so when the time came to buy another battery for my S2, i went and bought a cheap one from ebay.
i looked for something similar to the original, with roughly the same width, cause i didn't want to replace the case.
so i didn't buy a whole kit, just another backup battery.
Later, i decided it was time to search for an external battery, for those rare times where there's no USB or power outlet available.
a friend recommended going for an Anker external battery.
i ended up buying one from "AliExpress".
i'm sceptical that it's 100% original, as the site claims, but the price and ratings (at that moment) justified the buy.
i'm pretty happy with it. it saved my phone from dying a couple of times.

I would recommend the extended battery kit. Used it myself. This way you always have the extra power with you and your smartphone gets only a bit heavier.

go for the samsung extended with 2000mah.

i'll opt for Anker. I'm using one myself.
cheaper and works the same as original samsung

I also have anker for my sensation

External Secondary Battery Charger?

I had a great external secondary battery charger for my Nexus One. I would NEVER have to plug in the device, only swap batteries throughout the day. It was a perfect system and the charger was only $5 off ebay.
Mytouch 4G doesn't seem to have any yet for sale on ebay. If anyone finds an external battery charger for sale for this phone, please let me know.
I'm also very interested in this and had the same setup for my nexus. Did you just buy oem batteries or did you have luck with any after market options?
at first I tried a battery off ebay that promised to be "just as good as factory" for only $8.
It did not hold a charge at all. I returned it for a full refund.
I bought a $25 dollar factory battery back when the nexus one online store was open and that worked perfectly, of course.
For getting my sister the same battery swap setup on her Mytouch slide, I just ordered an extra battery directly from tmobile, but they charged $50 for the thing
I'm not sure what an extra battery for a Mytouch 4g costs, but probably it will be close to the $50 the mytouch slide battery was if you get it from tmobile.
Ordering from them is probably overpaying, but after my bad experience with nexus one ebay batteries, I thought the extra money was worth some peace of mind. Because I'll tell ya: you cannot tell the difference between a cheap imitation battery and the real thing just by looking at them. They are identical aside from the horrible charge capacity.

YMMV, I got 2 of them for my G1 about a year ago, each would last about the same as the battery that came with the phone. I drowned one when I was swapping them on a rocking boat lol but the other is still working like a champ.
In my g1 I had a seido innocell that packed approx 20% more charge into the same size package.... the batteries are pricey, but worth it to me...

Extended batteries?

Are any of the cheap extended batteries for the Note worth buying? I see a lot of 5200mAh ones on ebay for ~£10, while I'm sure they aren't really that capacity; at that price they may be worth buying. The Mugen 5400mAh doesn't seem worth buying because I could carry numerous original batteries for that price without adding bulk to the phone.
I've bought 2 cheap battery's on eBay and both worked but lost capacity after a week or 2 and gave me screen flickering below 20% so I stopped using them. I only buy well known battery's now, worth the extra money. Even if they are a double or triple the price, you get what you pay for. (Most the time ^.^)
Edit: Mugen have good reviews, there's a review by a member on XDA somewhere.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've just ended up buying the £20 standard battery from Samsung in the end.
I bought two Hyperion batteries and a dock charger that charges the phone and the extra battery at the same time.
What I do is keep the extra battery in my pocket with me. When the main battery finishes, I swap. Then when I get home at night Ill charge them both.
This tremendously helped me out over the past weekend as I wasn't home for 14 hours.
Got myself a 5000 mAh one with a bulky back cover and wouldn't want to go without it anymore,
is good for going 3-4 days without recharging now, a bit like the old days when phones were not
smart but durable...

Going from the standard to an extended (i have the mugen 5400) battery was for me like going from the S2 to the Note.
Size matters, and its hard to go back.
(oh, and no more juice defenders, battery program thingies etc, sigh, pfiew)

dont Buy the Built in Case Power Pack
Many People Have said it charges very slow
Power Bank like 8000mah would be good For RoadTrips
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda premium
High capacity power packs are big. Something under 5000mah would be pocket friendly in my opinion. I personally have a 5000mah. Its a perfect size and I can charge my phone twice from 1 or 2 percent to full charge. Sometimes I have a bit of juice left in it. However I did not purchase it from eBay but I'm sure there are plenty good ones there. And as razer1224 said don't buy cases that have batteries built into them. From my experience they charge very slowly and make the phone look bulky and ugly.

Did you get yours? How is it? Does it makes the phone very ugly? And the only adv of a battery case is that we can charhe our phone anytime anywhere right? Not that i will get more battery right? Its ecactly like a portable charger right?

thnanks for your reply. actually it becomes very expensive. i do not need that much power. 5000-6000 mAh is good enough for me. can you suggest me a website from where i can order? except amazon and ebay because i have already searched there. i need a portable charger and a white flip cover.
I'm really interested in buying a battery pack... Any suggestion? at least 5000 mah real...

Anker or Hyperion?

Hey everybody, my stock battery isnt really charging anymore. Sometimes when it plug it in it says charging and then hours later it stays at the percentage it was in previous to charging. Then when it does charge, the battery runs out quick. Time to get a new battery I just wanted to ask:
Anker
or
Hyperion?
I think Anker just added NFC (which i need) so i wanted to know which one you guys preferred. I have seen some threads where people liked one over the other, but they were old. Thats why i made this thread to get some fresh and new input on which is better. Is Anker really worth the five extra bucks? Or is the cheaper Hyperion superior? Or is there somebody else who has a stock sized battery that is even better?
Thanks for your help!
I always go with Anker. Used their batteries on my galaxy nexus for a year and they held their charge very well compared to two of my stock Samsung batteries that lasted about half the anker. Didn't experience any battery degradation

I also have great experience with anker. Used em in my evos, and on two laptops. Also bought their laptop chargers. I can't speak for Hyperion, but I assure you that anker products are high quality.

Why the ellipsis? Are you being forced to type that? Are you being held at gunpoint? LEAVE HIM ALONE ANKER EMPLOYEES!!!
Jokes aside, there is a lot of Anker love in this thread, so im going with them. I think they have a decent warranty as well IIRC. ill look into it. Thanks everybody!
I used a Hyperion in my Evo 4g a couple years ago and it worked well. Now I have an Onite 4500mah and its worked great so far.
Anker works for me

Nothing but good experience with anker for me. I bought an external charging pack and it rocks. Their customer service is exceptional as well.
I have both and both work fine. I'd give the nod to anker because it has a better more sturdy extended back case that comes with it.
the hyperion back case cracked within a week in several places. but the battery works fine. if your only care is battery. either. if you care about both case and battery go with anker.

External battery or just another batterie?

What should I go for? I know the question is kinda vague but all I see in retail is $100 battery cases which is way too expensive...

It depends on what you carry around with you. I usually just go from home to work and back home, so i can charge either at home or at the office. But when I go on business trips I usually have my laptop bag, so I use a portable battery pack.
I've been using this one for a few weeks and it works really well, it'll charge your phone at least twice.

What phone do you have? Does it have a built-in battery (like iPhone) or a changeable battery(e.g. Samsung)?
If your phone has changeable battery, you can actually have another one if you like. It costs less than $15 from a third party.
If you own an iPhone type, an external battery charger or a battery case would be the only way. I personally prefer an external one since the battery case adds too much weight and destroy the sensational design the phone has. And as you said, they charge a lot due to an exquisite workmanship. Otterbox is the leading brand in this type of case, they provide waterproof, dustproof cases which is awesome if you are a backpacker. Their price is therefore pretty high(over $70).
Another option is to get an external battery charger, which is what I'm doing. I have an iPhone 4S and I have a RavPower 14000mAh external battery charger. I choose this brand because they have a reasonable price and a few of my friends has introduced it to me.
There're some other high-end brands in this like Mophie, Mipow, they sell $15 more than the one I have. So if you prefer a luxury one, you may consider theirs.
I think you can get all of those batteries from amazon.

I'm really happy with that rom.
Very smooth and stabel and the battery life is just awesome
Unfortunately my camera is not working but it seems like i'm the only one.
I purchased a replacement battery from a BatteriesPlus store. Great life out of it, comes with 1-yr warranty (bring it back to to the store with any trouble for replacement).
Also, Groupon runs all kinds of deals on accessories. My wife just picked up a Mophie S3 battery case for me for $40!!! In conparrison, BestBuy has them for $99.
