Hello, I've tried to download stock ROM but apparently HotFile is down.
Can anybody upload to google drive? or find a working link, really need this.
Thanks!
Did you try a google search? Just make sure what you find is for this phone.
There is a rooted stock in Dev section that is not on hot file.
After you get it... Might wanna do a nandroid backup of it... Then you'll always have it ready if you need it.

Just use this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737848
The LG1 rom is the latest for AT&T G3. The second one in the thread is stock from initial release I believe. Download and flash. Since it's stock, it won't bump your counter. Will lose root though.

Uuuh, those roms are straight from Samsung Kies (their official roms). They are safe. I have used it to ditch root and go back to my stock kernel prior to flashing new custom roms. They are official roms from Samsung. If you want to get them from Samsung directly, install more bloatware on your pc (Kies). Have fun.
I really don't care about a few apps being there (even if I don't use it).. So are u saying that if I install either one of the three (in the green box in the picture) I should be fine? Do u happen to know why they have different numbers in them?

Nope. I got my stock roms from the thread I sent you. Use the thread. Like I said, they are official roms straight from Samsung. It wouldn't be a main sticky on the development forum if it wasn't legit. Or you can just download Kies from the Samsung.com website and use that to flash newer stock roms to your phone. Or you can pull your hair out wondering which one to use until someone who knows their serial scheme to answer it better than I can.. The choice is yours. Chances are, anyone else would just link to that same thread I sent you already anyway. I've used them and they are just fine. I keep the latest stock on my ext_sd for backup just in case, which I downloaded from that thread. Works like a charm every time I have flashed it to go back to stock.
If you are already rooted and just trying to get back to stock to take your phone back for warranty, I also suggest you look into the app Triangle Away. Just do a forum search, it's in the development section. It resets your flash counter to zero. You will want to do that *before* you unroot. Assuming you've already rooted. Since I don't know your situation, I can only offer some suggestions. Hope this all helped.
Hehe.. Thanx for replying so elaborately. I have indeed tried the ROM posted on the thread earlier to go back to stock from CM10. They do wrk fine indeed. I just thought I'd get it from the official Site. That's all. I'm a little new to this but not a uber noob

No worries, everyone here was new to Android and flashing at some point as well. I completely understand you wanting to make sure what you are about to flash to your $500 phone is clean and safe. I have used the roms linked from that thread from the samsung-updates.com website myself with no problems. Anyone else here on XDA will tell you the same thing, they are safe and straight from Samsung Kies.
Question .
I downloaded one of the original stock rom from the link , currently I'm rooted but if i wanted to go back to stock how would I do it?
Flash the file i just downloaded ? How with CWM? Odin? this part is what's confusing me.
Thanks if anyone can explain , I guess I mainly want to know how to go back to stock and how to unroot.
1st Download the Triangle away app and reset ur flash counter if it's not zero already.
2nd Put ur phone in download mode(volume down+home+power button) and use Odin to flash the Stock ROM from your computer.
3rd This should have removed all root from your phone. But do go into settings-> About device->Status->Device status(in ur phone) . If it still shows 'modified', goto recovery menu(volume up+home+power button) and do a factory wipe.
Ur good to go after that.

I thought when u flashed Stock ROM with Odin, it flashes the kernel and modem too? At least when u flash it with mobile Odin it happens by default.

I did check the 'about device' to see if there is anything that'll help me narrow it down(before you even replied). Yes, it helped me narrow it down to the green box in the picture.
Before you type some random **** like this why dont you check it out on your phone and give a reply. Let me know if you find out anything useful.
At the risk of sounding like an ass, did you look under the battery?

yes i did check under the battery. All it says is SGH-i747.
Only thing left i can think to do would be to call the number listed for further assistance
Edit
Look under your battery again. Notice under the imei barcode. You see 2 letters there? Mine was mb. That might have something to do with it. Might not.

Wow..good catch. I thinks that's it. Its just two letters printed just like that not part of anything else. Mine is RW. Dont know what the difference b/w them are though. Thanks again. :good:
Update:
Called them up. Its all the same...the MB,RW and ZR refers to the different colors.
MB refers to Pebble blue
RW refers to Marble White
and ZR refers to Garnet red.

Search. The info is on here and has been discussed several times. Hint. Look in the att original development section and find chainfires thread. Search there.
Your on a developers site, not a help desk site.
Enjoy learning.

Thanks, but the first thing I do is search, and search. I ran into brick walls and nothing clear. All I needed was a link to the right place, not lesson on how to use search. Rooted and flashed many roms in the years I have been doing this, just never went back to stock. But lucky for me, I do have some friends that are more experienced and was able to get me back to stock.

Start here and follow the intructions to get back stock recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992303
You will also have to flash your firmwire in odin(scroll down to section 5) to get the stock software which your phone came with, make sure you select the right one depending on your phone:

try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2094422
just be careful and know which one you are getting because some are for the vivo and some are for vivow.
I believe ours is located close to the bottom of the list.
There's also a thread on rootzwiki with all of them that has good links.

I ask because I need a stock firmware to my Straight Talk LG L22c, and there is nothing to be found. How do people get the stock firmware? And can it be ripped from the phone? I have one paperweight, and another still running stock. Any info is appreciated!

When your phone or PC downloads a firmware update file, it'll be stored temporarily. These very kind people just pull it from the temp folder and make it available for download.

What version of firmware are you running now?
You can find the stock recovery here.
If you are on Marshmallow now, you will need the 6.13.771.4 one, if on an earlier version of Android, match the first number and the 771 part.
Thanks for the reply. I'm on android 4.4.4, software number 3.32.771.10.
I'll look on page one now and see what I can find. Could anyone help me with the toolkit? I found a link for version 2 but it installed some Chinese virus on my PC!?

Nice one, thanks again. I'll give it a go without the toolkit, I haven't tried it that way yet but I'm sure I'll work it out ?
