Pen and Standing keyboard - G Pad 8.3 Accessories

Hi guys, do you know of any keyboard that makes the tablet stand up in a certain angle that works fine with the G Pad?
also
Any good pen (or are they called pencils?) to illustrate on it?
Thanks in advance.

Mini Keyboard

While I'm waiting for my Xoom to arrive I've been checking out some accessories.
I came across a mini bluetooth keyboard. Looks pretty decent. Just wanted to share.

That looks sweet. Thanks.
Looks nice, and working with a PS3 as well makes it pretty attractive.
I just wonder if it would really be easier to type in than this on screen deal, especially with swype and swift key coming.

Does anyone have the Moto keyboard? If so, is it worth it?
I'm dreaming of sitting on my couch with my xoom hooked up to my tv while I'm sitting out the couch surfing the web, watching youtube stuff, etc. Somewhat of a google tv experience I guess. That would be awesome!

Everyone has a different preference and style. For me, I would like to keep my tablet on my end table and having a detached physical keyboard like this would make it much easier to type something instead of grabbing the tablet, placing it on my lap and typing on the screen.

The moto keyboard is worth every cent!! It is uber thin and light, I am very pleased with it. It really helps with the whole webtop theme, but you still need to touch the screen for a few things unfortunately.
Did you order that? I've been researching for a good one. I came across that one initially, but I'm pretty sure I read on some site that it didn't work well with Android.
I found this one that I'm thinking about getting
www sourcinggate com / portable-bluetooth-transfer-wireless-keyboard-mouse-combo-p-12376 . html
Would be cool if the mouse worked too
No I didn't order it. I am leaning toward the OEM keyboard because it has the shortcut keys and I can order with 25% off.
Although I would really like a trackpad for scrolling. I'm undecided on what to do.
I just want my Xoom to arrive. I have to wait until the 2nd...
I'm trying to find a cheap one that I could easily carry around with me. As thin as the moto keyboard is, its not pocket size.
Mine arrives today. I can't wait.
i bought that keyboard a few months back. it works well enough, but the build quality is a little shoddy. a almost pried it apart once when trying to insert the micro usb charge cable.
Does the xoom have HID or just keyboard compatibility? I have had that keyboard for a while and it is OK but not my favorite. I have a second, slightly wider one with a touchpad that I prefer when doing presentations.

Have you used it while mirrored to your tv? Thats what I think I'd mainly use it for.
If it works well while mirrored I think I'll pick it up.

Xoom does have HID Bluetooth profile. I'm currently using my Apple BT keyboard and works just fine.
I have been using the Motorola Bluetooth keyboard with my XOOM and it works perfectly! Although it isn't "pocket size", it fits really nicely in my backpack. It's pretty thin and of great build quality. It would be nice if it had a "trackpad" but the android navigation buttons at the top of the keyboard are brilliant!
Thanks for the info. I decided to go with the Moto keyboard. I liked it had the android keys and shortcuts.
Just waiting for my xoom now....
How do you link an Apple BT keyboard to the Zoom?

I am interested in using my 2009 Apple bluetooth keyboard on my Zoom when it arrives. When pairing, does the Zoom return a link code to enter to link the keyboard? The reason I ask is that I have attempted to link this keyboard to my Motorola Atrix but to complete the pairing, it asks you to enter a code but does not give you one to enter and none of the usual ones work. If I remember correctly, on an Apple-to Apple link, the computer gives you a 5 digit code to enter.
Thanks!
The Logitech DiNovo Mini works too. Doesn't have all the shorcuts though but is very portable.
the best bluetooth keyboard i have used, on any device, is the microsoft 6000. hands down beats the apple offering and others. only like 30 bucks too. especially when egronomics is brought into consideration.

Has anyone tried a capacitive stylus on OG Pro?

Finger works fine, but might want to try a stylus... which one is best for OG Pro?
i have these cheap ones from amazon that work perfectly
http://www.amazon.com/Capacitive-Ce...&qid=1369066093&sr=8-1&keywords=iphone+stylus
I got one of the Bamboo Solo Stylus from amazon http://www.amazon.com/Bamboo-Solo-S...&qid=1369155435&sr=8-1&keywords=bamboo+stylus works really well.
I'm not sure what the brand is, but I got a pen/stylus from 5 Below that works really well. I'll upload a picture of the handwriting I did without any edits or anything. This was my first attempt.
What I really want is a stylus with a tip as slim as what Samsung uses in the Note 2. Unfortunately those will not work.

Same here dude. I need to do signatures and convince my boss to go all digital and loose the paper trail but can't find a fine enough stylus tip.

The only problem is that capacitive touchscreens require input to be the approximate width of a human finger in order to ignore random/incidental touches.

Did not know that. So I suppose Samsung does NOT use capacitive touchscreens then? (Never really dug to deep on the HOW things work, just appreciative when they do.)

I believe they actually have a second digitizer made by Wacom specifically to interact with the SPen. Not 100% Certain on the second digitizer, but I think I read that somewhere.

Sorry if I sound a little newbish for asking but if we change the LCD density, wouldn't that have some effect with the touch input? Such as make it more sensitive or the area smaller?

Hmm, most of the ones I've seen are much cheaper than that one. I was hoping that someone had a drawer-full and would see which is best... (If I had asked which is best, would this thread have still been moved?)

You don't have to activate stylus support. You're still limited to capacitive styli, so the S-Pen will not work for you.
Here's more like what I had in mind. $0 from the LG guy at the at&t store. He said they all work about the same, just pick one that fits your hand...
Yes

Hmm I have a capacitive stylus and it does not seem to be operating. I did enable the Handwriting option under Language and Input/LG Keyboard.

It's possible that the stylus tip isn't wide enough for the screen to recognize it. Capacitive screens are calibrated to recognize touches the approximate size of a human finger, so it would need to be roughly the size of your pinkie finger to register as a valid touch.

I've heard that before, but all the styli seem to use the same rubbery tip. Much smaller than my pinkie. Hmm...

Yeah the rubber tips and the silicone brushes are really the only styli that will work for us.

Apple bluetooth keyboard + Note 10.1 = Woks great!

Just wanted you all to know that the bluetooth wireless keyboard from Apple works really good with the note. Easy to connect. It is a great keyboard with the perfect feel. And the keyboard is about 1 inch wider then the tablet itself, so it fits in a bag with the note really well to. Just wanted you guys to know

This is the one I use: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/tablet-keyboard-ipad
The stand is also a sort of storage pouch, making the whole thing pretty portable. What you might find is all the function keys may not work (haven't really tried play/pause/forward/rewind) but it's useful for typing, especially when dealing with entering complicated passwords.
AND apple wireless bluetooth mouse works great too. WITH scroll!
I have got an Anker keyboard from Amazon, and a Logitech V470 mouse and they both work great.

[Q] Active Stylus and app?

I'm looking fit an active Stylus to use with the g pad. I find using a regular Stylus difficult because my hand rest on the screen and I can't write at the same time because the touchscreen doesn't know my hand is just resting. Anyone have any suggestions for a good one? Thanks.

There isn't one that would work with palm rejection. And don't think it would work otherwise. I have a Cregle Ink and tried it today on the LG 8.3 and it didn't work smooth enough. It's good enough for pointing and clicking but not for writing or drawing. I have an Adonit Script also but didn't try it. Those are the only two active stylues on the market now that work on capacitive screens but they are really marketed towards the ipad.

Pressure pen (and apps to use with it)

Hello,
anyone knows if there is a good pressure pen (and an apps that supports it... or in alternative, a way to connect with a PC), compatible with the G Pad?
Something similar to what a Wacom Intuos do with software likes Photoshop.
I was just looking in to this today. I would like to know also. PS, can you use Photoshop Touch on G Pad?

You can (I have it installed on my LG G Pad), but I doubt PS Touch will support a pressure sensitive pen, the focus is on pressure sensitive screens rather I guess. Regardless I'd also be interested in such a stylus if they where not to pricy.
well there are some parts in the touchscreen driver which indicate stylus support
even with palm detection etc.
the driver calls it "t47 pen" whatever this is
i didnt try anything yet
should be this one

i dont know where to get
Im actually using a crappy stylus that has some kind of dry rubber thing at the tip and it works great. I use adobe acrobat reader to highlight stuff

Your "crappy stylus" works like a standard stylus or could be used like a "pressure" pen?
