Ok first of all, there is no "Stock version 4.4.2".
You can revert back to stock 4.2.2 by either flashing your 4.2.2 firmware through Odin or by flashing a stock based ROM through recovery.

1st thing..
cyanogenmod is not a theme..its a rom..it means its whole system..when you flash it.....u remove every single samsung stock touchwiz system files and replace with cyanogenmod(aosp based rom) files....so its not an app that u uninstall after u get bored and u ll get samsung stock touchwiz....
secondly........galaxy grand has been provided 4.2.2 only till date via samsung official roms....so it uses jellybean 4.2.2 drivers and files and everything.....while on other hand, cm11 uses kitkat files and everything in system.....what i want to say is that there is nooo stock samsung 4.4.2 (kitkat)...there is only jellybean available till now by samsung official.........now if u don't want kitkat(cm11/carbon/slimkat),and u want stock Samsung, then simply flash its firmware via odin...i can give u link to download whole firmware of 4.2.2.....if u want......
but if u want latest kitkat Lib's and everything with game bugs fixes...i suggest u stay with cm11...(though. u ll have only one sim in cm based roms, and normal nexus things and features)......
if u thinking cm11 is theme or something then u are wrong...
when u flashed it,u deleted touchwiz Samsung stock things completely and installed cm11 things instead of that)....u can ask any qsn u want to..i ll help..though u should Google first to know what is flashing and how to flash via odin for stock OEMs ..
u can ask still anything if u want...

And there are a few threads in General Section made by other member for few recent as well as older INU/INS firmwares
The latest 4.2.2 for our device released in November 2013 are I9082XXUBMK3 and I9082XXUBMK7 but you may want to look for your region specific firmware

yea like:
su - For obtain root in Terminal
reboot recovery - reboot to recovery
reboot - reboot device
reboot bootloader - reboot to bootloader - I didnt try it ( dont blame me if you try this and anything goes wrong)
And many more ( i dont know much about linux or android,sorry)
if you want to try these command, ignore the "- blah blah blah" just type the command,
ex:
su
reboot recovery

You should write this-
Hey...i am a guy who dont like to search any forums and asking the same qsn asked 100times... -_-.. When u flash things from Odin..it will itself delete the data (factory reset you call it)...just follow this thread i posted (its said everywhere..so pls dont make new threads...read my whole thread... )..its not complete by date...but Odin and all things are descriptively given...just do it...
Dont ask that data wipe ahud be b4 or after! Just do experiments...
All the new guys..pls try to search first basuc forums where u can find how to use and how to do...(odin..flashing and all)..its pretty easy on google to search ! Sorry if rude..hope i helped

(PS- i did read every single thread on this grand forum ever posted... gone in older pages and searched every forum )...that doesnt mean i want other guys to so same..but at least care to search and read recent posts before posting would be quite descent!

Why do you need nandroid backup It is ok to restore the file via Clockwok recovery mode there are lots of stock roms
Hope it'll also help you. If you make up your mind for using CWM Recovery I'll help

Depending on the root method there will never be a fix for this as the official OTA will only work on fully stock recovery and roms

I'm trying to find out if it is even possible to install the unofficial updates for the Samsung Galaxy Note2 T Mobile Edition T889 has anyone one been able to do this everytime I try to is gives me an error-7 I put the update on my SD card and renamed it update and then I went into recovery mode to install it am I doing this right can anyone answer my question thank you

They wont work, you dont have tbe base rom they require. Plus they are all older then our stock rom anyways.

Its really easy.. I have written steps detailedly.. go through with steps when you do it on PC.. you can learn.. and you will be happy when you do it yourself .. it takes less than an hour to do it yourself..

Cygwin works.. just make sure there is no space in folder names where you keep kitchen folder..

woaaaa...so tired, as i study it a lot...it imposible to get 1 cwm package to flash the stock...
2 package maybe can, 1 for kernel and 1 for all others...
i spend almost half a day to make a deodexed stock rom with some extra to it...uploading it now
but its the new firmware DXLI1

I am a newbie to rooting and custom ROM installations. I have successfully rooted the phone and would like to install GENNXT ROM on my Galaxy Grand i9082 and it says in the post that it is based on firmware AMD6. My phone is on AMC9.
is it possible to flash the GENNXT rom to my phone or do I have to update the firmware on my phone to AMD6 and then flash the GENNXT rom.
I cannot ask this question in the developer forum since I am an newbie, so posting here.
Any advice is appreciated.

Bro you can flash any rom which is made for grand ... by CMW ... u will come to know every thing just start exploring .... and as u wan to flash ballis next generation rom ... so ask this quetion in that thread only ... there is no need to make new topics ... while flashing rom follow instruction properly ... given in OP

Custom ROM
I tried installing this GENNXT ROM and it went well, except that the phone couldn't get any signal anymore. It keeps saying that the Airplane mode is one even if it's not.
Anyone knows how to get this fixed?

It has the I9082XXAMA9 Baseband.
How come when you flashed gennxt which is on XXAMD6 it did not change baseband to AMC4? You have a locked phone?

Finally got it to work. Both SIM has a signal now. Turns out I had a very old firmware. I updated it via Kies, rerooted and installed the ROM. Everything works great now.

Unfortunately you have a custom rom so it will not be official unless you unroot and install a stock firmware. Search for cursed4eva on youtube for video on how to unroot galaxy grand.
