Mount usb mass storage in recovery put a Rom on your sdcard and flash it in recovery again ....then flash boot.img from Rom in fastboot and you have os back

CASE CLOSED

Hello guys,
Like Jez105, I got the same issue on my HTC One. I tried to install a Custom ROM (CyanogenMOD 10.2.1 stable version) from TWRP recovery but it failed (MD5 file error) so I wiped everything even System thinking that I can access to the backup done a couple hours before.
That backup, I saved it on my PC but now, I can't access to my sdcard partition. ADB doesn't detect my device while Fastboot does.
So in conclusion, I have no OS, No backup on my device, no access to my storage mass but only an access to my Fastboot mode and CWM Recovery.
The question is: How can go back to an Stock or Custom ROM with these issues.
Check bellow my fastboot getvar all:

[Q] My HTC One X stucked on the 'Quietly Brilliant' screen.

Hi everyone!
I'm a noob I do admit first of all.Recently I wanted to flash custom roms on my phone. So essentially I had to unlock the bootloader first.I managed to do that and even get the CWM recovery.img to flash.I installed CM10 Nightly but I got a bootloop. As I found out,I needed to flash the compatible boot.img for it to boot up.But here's the thing.I was pretty sure I flashed the right img,but now it just stays on the white 'Quietly Brilliant' screen. After locking and unlocking the phone again,it was supposed to reboot and start normally right? But that wasn't the case for me.Now it's stucked on the 'Quietly Brilliant' screen and doesn't boot up.I can go to the bootloader and CWM recovery, but apparently there's nothing for me to backup from there. All the error message I got was "no such file"
This was yesterday and I left the phone to charge for the whole night. This morning I saw the LED light indicates it's fully charged but I'm still stucked on the same screen. What can I do to solve this? I can't even mount usb from the CWM recovery to do manual installation of roms or files..Please can anyone help me?
I'm using an iMac and my phone is the international One X.And what is a RUU? Do I need that now and how do I get it and know if it's the right one? I need this phone to be up ASAP as I'm using it for work too.Ya,I don't have a spare phone. Please help. Thanks a million, much appreciated.
Did you erase cache from fastboot?
Fastboot erase cache
I'm pretty sure it will boot after that.
You should be able to mount SD as USB, you need cwm 5.8.4.0.
just Extract boot.img from Zip file you flashed, save it to Fastboot folder then flash it.
fastboot flash boot bootfilename.zip
I guess It may help you.
Press THNAKS if you like.

first you need to fully charge it then you need to unlock it again. then, if you haven't already got it, flash a custom recovery. do a full wipe from recovery then copy the 4.19.707.3 nandroid to backup/restore folder on the sdcard. flash the boot.img from the nandroid zip in fastboot then restore the nandroid from recovery. that should be it if you follow all steps and read the instructions in the nandroid thread

M8 stuck whilst loading recovery mode..

So i accidentally wiped the phone including the internal storage and the OS instead of factory resetting (wasn't paying attention) and tried to re install the android marshmallow OS onto the phone which didn't work..
i managed to flash the twrp by following another forum where someone had the same problem, using the adb process to flash the bootloader etc but now i can't access the recovery at all, it just says entering recovery and remains idle until i get bored of waiting and power off.
Can anyone help me?
i can provide whatever information is necessary for you to help, just need my phone revitalised as i desperately need it for my new job that i should hopefully be starting at the end of the week.
thanks in advance!

Fastboot erase cache, then flash TWRP again in fastboot. Try TWRP 2.8.1.0, which is an older version (more compatible with your old firmware). Then see if you can boot into recovery.
Or flash signed firmware, to update firmware (yours is ancient) then flash TWRP 2.8.7 and restore a newer stock backup (corresponding to the firmware flashed).

Thanks a lot. I've tried the first solution and at least TWRP is now working. I've tried the same thing, but it seems, that it was a wrong version of TWRP
Many apologies, turns out i misread the model and its actually the M7 i have. But im glad that this post is helping others with my original problem and thanks to other members who contributed to helping!

Can't flash new recovery or wipe ( encrypted )

I have twrp installed but it won't wipe the phone. I even tried putting the wrong passcode in 30 times to force wipe but it just doesn't wipe. When I flash a new recovery it says success but go back into the phone the same twrp is there!
I read I need a Rec that doesn't check if it's encrypted? I.e in twrp can't mount data.
So how do I get round it?
Originally a uk orange/ee phone but was unlocked any network and rooted etc
try flashing twrp version 3 link http://www.mediafire.com/file/f08vn6klszuwqu5/twrp-3.1.0-0-m8.img In TWRP, under "Wipe" menu, there is "Format Data" function, which will effectively remove the encryption from the device. hope thats work for u .
I have the same problem. I already unlocked the bootloader and try to flash a recovery. Even if I use ClockWorkMod or TWRP 2.7.0.2, it says that everything is fine, but when I try to start the recovery mode it always goes back to the fastboot mode. What can I do? I am using the HTC One 2014 (M8) All in one toolkit.

"Even if I use" What does that mean exactly? Did you try others (the statement somewhat implies you did)? Please try to be as detailed as possible when asking for help, instead of making us guess what you've tried, or what you mean.
Clockworkmod never officially supported this device. There are some unofficial builds, but they haven't been updated in maybe 2 years. This in itself will cause problems on any device with remotely current firmware. Plus, even if it was able to boot into CWM, it isn't compatible with many of the current ROMs (if that is what you want).
Similarly, TWRP 2.7 is really old. It won't work properly on any M8 devices unless the firmware is really old (like Kitkat old). So that may be your problem right there.

You should drop the toolkit. It hasn't been updated for over 2 years, and can cause problems in itself. Flashing recovery is a single, easy command. Using the toolkit just introduces another unnecessary possible (and probable) point of failure.
Try the following:
fastboot erase cache
Then try to fastboot flash TWRP version 2.8.7.0 from here: https://dl.twrp.me/m8/
Also, for the best possibility of us helping you, do:
fastboot getvar all
Then post the output (delete IMEI and number before posting, as these are personal info).
Thx for your fast reply!

If you want absolute stability then a sense 5 based rom is the way to go.

I have passed at new layout beacuse I had the problem of poor memory for installing apps.

Can someone please help me with the issue I'm having...so my EU One X had Cyanogenmod on it and I wanted to install a stock ROM on it and I flashed a boot.img and then the phone wouldn't boot like It went to TWRP and then It would just reboot constantly so I somehow erased Android and now I don't have a ROM on my phone and I can't charge it enough to fix it with a RUU so I'm screwed...here's the info from ADB C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot getvar all

I had similar problem some time ago that it wouldn't charge, meaning no way to flash anything.
I found a script though that makes a constant reboot into bootloader and it will slooowly charge. It will also tell you the voltage on the battery. Try to get it up to like 3.2-3.3v i think might work.
Just create a bat file and put the following code in it, make sure the file is in the same folder as fastboot (my fastboot was called fastboot-windows.exe, but change it to fastboot if you have fastboot.exe).
Code:
@echo off
:start
fastboot-windows getvar battery-voltage
fastboot-windows reboot-bootloader
ping /n 6 localhost >nul
goto start
"
I had a few custom roms and I come to the conclusion that XenonHD-09.05.15 (5.1.1) is overall the best one which is not outdated. It seems that it's a stable rom cuz I haven't noticed any crashes or freezes so far.
