I have download CMW but it didn't have the Note 2 as an option for recovery. So, I selected GS3 to just get started. I have found the recovery for the Note 2, but now I don't know how to tell CMW that I have a new recovery.img to read in. Can anyone help me to load my new recovery.img so that I can create the proper recovery.
Thanks I hope this makes sense.

Download goo manager from the market and install TWRP recovery. It's much better than cmw.

I recently rooted my phone using the CFAuto Root method. My phone started up and had super su , but I had no recovery, except for the non root recovery. I then downloaded ROM Manager and downloaded the clockwork mod recovery. It worked, all except for the sd card, its a 64 gb sandisk. I cant access it at all from recovery. I tried formatting it from my phone and computer and nothing is working. What should I do?
You have to use computer to format to exfat I do believe

I tried to do that as well a couple of times and it still isn't working.

No and yes better than cwm imo download a app called goo manager from play store and once you open the app hit menu key and then install recovery! With this done try your sd card again maybe format to fat32

Hi everybody and thank you in advance.
All started today i woke up this morning and my phone has the pulsing samsung logo and the green led of notification flashing.
I tried to restart it but nothing the same. my phone is charging ok.. and also when i am stuck in samsung logo it vibrates when i push the option button.
i can enter the recovery system menu but i want to know if there is a way to save some of my data ?
or my only option is to restore it.
My phone is rooted 3 months now
please help me because i didnt find anything matching my problem
i did a mistake i meant the menu key actually that one at the left
Boot into download mode.
Flash a custom recovery.
Backup data with it.
Wipe data.
Extract data from nandroid with titanium Backup.
Restore the backups.

i just want to grab some files! before restore
u will need flash a custom recovery 1st then will be able to backup,
If you were on stock rom , I've noticed during Boot Loop if you flash the Stock rom will not wipe your data only Messages, contacts and Call log will be wiped.
If you follow my way you won't lose any files.
But you can backup everything via adb.

That's a kernel and not a recovery.
Download a recovery in .Tar format.
Flash it the same way you rooted.

guys i cant go i recovery in odin all fine but after reboot im going to samsung logo again
any ideas?
and also costum binary download: Yes (4 counts)
from 1 i did the process 3 times
Firstly, before anyone can truly help you you need to mention your phone setup such as the Rom you're using, rooted/not rooted, etc.
If you're rooted and have a custom recovery then just wipe your system and dalvik cache partition and flash the same Rom again. All your personal files will still be intact.

Pull yur battery out. Put it back in and go into recovery by holding power + home button + volume up. Release power button on the first bootscreen. Maybe u pressed the volume down.

As the thread title states, I'm trying to install the BoneStock v1.2 rom but am stuck at 0.00%. I got past all the aroma toggles, but once it goes into installing, it never gets past 0.00%. I did full wipe and everything. Tried rebooting phone to try to install again, and same results. Using CWM. Help anyone? Maybe I'll try to v1.1..

Works now. Thanks
I'm running CM7 right now and hoping to get my wifi calling back. I've read the mimicry posts. It doesn't really explain what "gapps" is but says you need it.
I have 4ext I've downloaded both gapps and mimicry files.
Do I flash gapps like a rom using "install from SD" on 4ext then flash mimicry the same way? or vise versa?
Full wipe then ROM then gapps then reboot
