[Q] Need help with CM problems. - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I'm currently using their stable build from November 2012 CM10, which I've tried upgrading to there latest stable a few times every now and then, and every time I attempt to upgrade it states it was aborted about 2 seconds in. Is there something special I'm suppose to do to upgrade to 10.1-10.2? Also I attempted using CM installation program and it kept me on the same version, and now I'm getting a "Unforunately, Android keyboard (AOSP) has stopped working." error, which I figured was from gapps. Can anyone please point me in the right direction of what I'm suppose to do about this.

Are you dirty flashing from 10.1 to 10.2 or clean flashing? If you're dirty flashing chances are that's what's causing the problem. From what I remember about upgrading from 10.1 to 10.2 was that a clean flash was necessary to having a bug free experience. My suggestion is backup your apps via Titanium Backup and factory reset on 10.2.

It wouldn't be advised for you to flash CM 10.1 to CM 10.2. Strictly because these are two different Android versions. First of all you will want to download the following links below.

(Note: This is strictly for the SGH-i747 and not the SGH-i747M variant)
CM-10.2.0-d2att.zip
Clockwork-6.0.4.3-d2att.img
CM10.2 4.3.X GApps
After you have downloaded the above files, you'll want to flash the Clockwork with Odin. If you are unsure on how to do this, please proceed to this tutorial. After you have flashed the last CWM, you will want to transfer the CM-10.2 image and the GApps to your root of the device. Then go into your custom recovery. Now wipe your data and dalvik cache. Then flash/install the CM10.2 zip file and then GApps. Now restart your device and you'll be on 4.3
If you are using TWRP, you'll need to find the appropriate version for that.

[Q] Updating Clockwork Mod Recovery

Please be nice, been googling around about this for the past 2 hours and still lost (lots of articles, none with what I think is the correct solution), so I'm finally posting about it...
Trying to flash my phone with the latest Cyanogen mod 11.0 (here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540250 ). However, I am getting the status 7 error message. Apparently, according to the forum, I need to update clockwork mod to the newest version.
Currently my CWM tells me it is "CWM-based Recovery v6.0.3.3. However when I check http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager it says the newest version of CWM for my phone is 5.0.2.7. I've downloaded that zip file and tried flashing it inside of CWM but after changing to the new/other version it switches right back to v6.0.3.3 immediately after I reboot into recovery again.
I also have the newest odin versions downloaded on my computer, both 3.07 and 3.09. However, to flash anything through ODIN I need a .tar file for CWM, and I cannot find one. All I can find are full roots that have CWM included I think?
Note: I updated my kernel to the new one recommended on the CyanogenMod page before trying, and failing, to flash the new Cyanogen Mod. So I know my kernel might be a little wonky for the revolt rom version I'm running, not sure what to do about that either.
Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong/provide the proper download link for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Phone model number SPH-D710
Revolt rom 4+ last stable version 4.2
Android version 4.2.2
Kernel 3.0.31-CM-g10a225a
First ROM Manager does not support this phone, don't read anything it has to say about this device, don't use the app, forget you heard of it. Second, Status 7 is a syntax error, probably a bad download... Make sure you verify md5sum before flashing.

I heard of ROM manager but didn't want to use it, hope you don't mean that ODIN is the same thing? (I assume you were just warning me away from it, haha)
As to the md5sum, it looks like it is a match.
Post from the page seems to be that the work around is to have the newest cwm?
Here was something zachf714 posted
"status 7 comes from the fact that for the moment you need the latest cwm to install 4.4"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48105118&highlight=status+7#post48105118
I'm such a newbie I'm not entirely sure what to do with this information. Tried to do lots of searching before finally giving in and making this post.
Btw, thanks for your help so far
Figured it out!
So I went to this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416620
downloaded blasphemy kernel v.6.6.
Then I first flashed the new kernel, then revolt rom 4.3. Not sure which one did it for me, but it allowed me to install Cyanogen 11.0 finally
Win!
Recovery is included in the kernel on this device

1. Download full ROM, verify MD5 checksum and copy to phone SD storage. And download GApps and do the same. Also download the FL24 Modem as you will need that as well.
2. Download and copy Jellybean X2 Format utility to SD storage: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2077277
3. Install EL29 Directboot kernel. It can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662295
( Look for: GB - Direct Boot CWM )
Note: .tar file is for flashing with Mobile Odin, .zip is for flashing in recovery (you probably don't have one), and .exe file is for flashing with Odin on PC.
4. Reboot into recovery, flash JB X2 Format then the ROM. You may flash the modem at this point if you like (required to run CM), but no other mods until ROM has fully booted the first time.
***Note- EL29 cannot flash modems- however, you can always flash it after the ROM boots with the built-in recovery***
5. Let ROM boot fully and settle for a couple of minutes during the initial boot. (It will take around 10 minutes)

[Q] Something Wrong with Custom ROM installation

I unlocked my bootloader and rooted my HTC One X. I have used the ClockworkMod recovery.
I had CyanogenMod 10.2 installed and it ran perfectly fine.
Later on, I downloaded the 'cm-11-20140308-SNAPSHOT-M4-endeavoru.zip' file to install the the CM 11.2
But it seems something terribly has gone wrong.
This error message was shown during installing CM 11.2
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and it got stuck on this screen after rebooting
Later on I tried flashing the 'boot.img' of CM 10.2 to get back to that ROM, but I encountered this error.
But when I tried installing the 'cm-10.2.1-endeavoru.zip', it was a success, but I am still stuck at the same position.
Please help me restoring the phone back, I dont care if I have to revert back to HTC's Original ROM, as long as the phone is back working.
I am novice at this thing, so please bear with me if I ask some stupid questions.

First of all if you want to install CM11 you must to use latest CWM from CM11 thread or TWRP2.7 or Philz latest. And now mount sd card copy your sense rom to the card install it, flash the boot img. and you are good to go. After this read again thread for CM11 and how to install and try agin but be shure you read the thread
use the recovery that thommy put in the first page of the cm11 post (or the philz last recovery) it seems that the cmw that you have doesen't support kitkat

Brother, don't worry about the kernel for F240x, as long as you can upload the ROM, it is good. There is Oxygen Kernel for F240x devices.
Im stuck at bootloop. I restored the stock rom. I cant create an logcat because adb doesnt work if it isnt boot. I ported it already 1 time to the htc desire bravo and that successfully. I dont know why it doesnt work know. I hope, someone will fix it. I will upload it at 1:0p PM (GMT +1).

Unable to update LOS on OnePlus 2

Hey there, I'm having trouble updating the lineageOS nightlies on my oneplus 2. I (clean!) flashed lineage-14.1-20170209-microg-oneplus2 first and had this problem there.. (just like this guy https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/lineage-os-14-1-check-update-internet-t3554440)
Then I tried flashing the current newest nightly, lineage-14.1-20170213-microg-oms-oneplus2... My problem is still existing, I can't manually update my OS.

Update
Using the updater I have no luck at all. Just corrupted zip file message - running clark nightly on moto x pure with lineage os superuser and twrp but no other mods or tweaks or whatever. Then I i stumbled upon lineage OS changelog app in the play store and boom, easy smooth updates. I am a noob compared to most here, no developer, a nothing to do with any apps. This worked for me.

Do you mean the "LineageOS Changelog" app by Vasudev B? (I'd post a playstore link but I'm unable to do so right now cause I'm new.)
I installed it but all I can do is to download the nightlies I click on with my browser.. Thats just like I'd download it on my pc and flash it on my op2.. no difference. I'm searching for a solution why I can't update LOS without manually installing it on my device and flashing it just like it worked on CM14/14.1 or simply the stock ROM for the op2...

Yes that is the app. No it isn't quite automatic. Eiher that app itself, ROM toolbox or something i can't think of off of the top of my head picks it up right away but I still need to make a couple of button pushes. I think i could automate the process with an app but I am so new to this I haven't tried. The weekly update is still an adventure that I enjoy lol.
