I am selling my Rezound and Dna on eBay. Does the sim card usually go with the phone, and if so do I need to wipe anything on it? Thanks in advance, never sold a 4G device before.

No, keep your Sim cards or toss em.
No need to send to anyone, they will need their own.
No, keep it or trash it as Santod said.
Whenever a device is removed from Verizons system it flags the SIM card as unusable for 48 hours, sometimes burns it completely. So whoever buys your device needs to provide their own.
Thanks to both of you.

Hello. I am an EVO owner who got a Droid Incredible for a friend for Christmas. I would like to root and bling out the Incredible similar to the way I've done my Evo more or less. Can I root this device and set it all up (using wifi at my place when needed) and then expect the person who gets it from me for Christmas to be able to activate the phone on their line without any issues? Is there any need to activate the device before rooting it?
I don't see there being any problems by doing that, I don't see how it wouldn't activate doing *228 #1. You aren't doing anything to the ESN of the phone.
I had the phone come to me as a gift. I rooted it and played with it over wifi till my at & t contract was up. So the answer is yes

I don't have this phone boutique you could just pimpify it without a sim card in it.

This is a cdma phone so there is no sim card. The qualcomm chip is embedded.

Thanks for your replies and no, won't be touching the ESN. Just rooting it and giving it to someone for Christmas.
Edit: I see ill go seel to another place =) thanks.
you cant sell your phone here
try the official ebay app for android i just sold my old broken mytouch 3g on it without even using my computer. probly get a decent amount of money for it seeing that its not broke, but dont forget to mention the sdcard slot or youll be giving back a refund because it doesnt work. lots of people who fix and resell/keep for themselves buy phones none stop on there. hope this helps.
Funny thing when someone tries to sell a phone through a forum of actually owners of the phone.

people have been cutting sims for years lol
Normally I would be flaming right beside u guys for posting common knowledge stuff. However..I have been through 4 different android phones, 2 blackberry phones and one winmo phone...all using sim cards and this is the first time I've heard of cutting up sim cards. Up until the s3 I thought all sim cards were the same size and shape

They even have SIM card cutters. I used to work for Rogers, they're insanely convenient and easy to use.
cutting SIM cards date back to the release of iPhone 4. If you never heard of it, props to you for not give a phuc about iphones.

I dont know if you guys will remember, but when the atrix came out, they were saying our old "3g" sim cards would not work in the "4g"(boy they used that term loosely) devices. If I simply cut my existing sim card and put it in my soon to be delivered red sg3, will it work with lte?
it should, dont see why it wouldnt /\/\

I had never heard of this until this phone either. So, it's perfectly acceptable that you didn't think this was common knowledge. Amazes me how some folks think that just bc not everyone is totally obsessed with their phone that makes them idiots.

Punctuation and Grammer on a forum.... virtually non-existent. Who cares, I am well educated.... But my writing style and the manner in which others compose their posts....least of my worries.

One thing I noticed is that if you cut your sim card, you don't have to pay the $36 upgrade fee for AT&T to change your active sim card. (Or at least they haven't hit me up for it yet. I ordererd my phone through amazon).
I did this, and I lost the ability to send mms, had to go get a micro sim.
- SGS 3 AT&T, and loving it!

LTE won't work with the older non-LTE SIMs.

does your LTE work? i tried this with my atrix 4G's SIM before I tried the included LTE SIM when I ordered it, and I was not able to get data on the phone.
lol idk how or why my phone got this message now =.=
been using it for ~2-3 months and everything is good
if anyone know how to fix this, please tell me
i even asked a technician from my carrier to register my imei too but so far not working..
imei is still intact btw.
mm6 = phone is reported as lost or stolen
it can also mean that network was locked by carrier

Take proof of purchase to your carrier store and get it taken off stolen phones list.

I need help guys, I was using my phone for only a week when all of a sudden I can't call or text or listen to my voice mail... instead I keep recieving "not registered to network" messages when i try and do anything involving data. When I go to my settings to enable data, its already on, but when I look for an available network, it turns off my data.. its like a never ending loop. Regardless of which I do first. My s4 is rooted but I doubt that could be the issue becauze it worked with my phone being rooted, anyone have any solution other than replacement?

Take a look to your apn and also make sure your IME has a # like 03 instead of just a 0 also check that on mobile networks make sure that the LTE/GSMA something lik that.. Is checked.. Make sure it has the LTE...
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda premium
Idk what you ment by the ime # not having an 03, but I checked and made sure everything else was in the right position and they are, but its still being stubborn

This could also be a bad SIM
Maybe, but why randomly stop working? Before this situation, my phone was sending me errors about how I couldnt wifi call due to an outdated sim card, so I went and got a new one, that didnt work.

And all you've done it root it? That's not going to cause your issue, and you have a new SIM. It's starting to look like bad hardware.
lagunas11 was asking you to verify your IMEI
Wait.. I think your right about the whole SIM deal, I switched to Family Mobile about a week ago and they dont really have new sim cards just the original big than micro, so im going to take a guess and say it is the sim

That's most likely what it is then. So they are giving customers cut down regular SIM cards? I'm lost...
Nah, when you purchase the SIM Card, its a big one but within side is a micro-sim, that you can pop out incase you desire one, but if you need the big one, you can easily pop the micro back into the big. Thanks for your help man, I guess im going, to be phoneless for a little
