I won't be speaking a lot , but these are stuff for devs , guys , I have modded our lockscreen and clock widget by exploring the apk , simply I found the pngs responsible for these stuff i modded , where as in other HtcLockScreen.apk's , I can't find the ring png , or the whatever png , but it is displayed on the lockscreen while the ROM is running !!?! Also the ClockWidget which we all know , I have found the responsible files on our ROM while on other Sense 3.5 or 4 any other similar (original) lockscreens , all these pngs are not availabe ! So how does this lockscreen work since it has no pngs to interact with ?? What is the source of these images that are not available as pngs or other thing ?? (xml files ? not possible !)
Either:
Somewhere you haven't looked.
Integrated into the apk itself.
Might not be a Dev, but I'm learning.

This is a softkeys, lock, clock and icon theme.
This is also where I'm at on being able to contribute anything.
These are all modded zips and apks from others work. I simply designed and changed pngs and titles.
INSTRUCTIONS - unzip and apply mods in any order. if you need more instruction please read on.

-The Softkeys and Lock are ZipThemer zips so you'll need to know how to use or go to one of atticus182's threads and read then thank him.
-The clock is an apk or flashable zip on 4.2 roms. [tested on xylon 19.1 and xenonhd]
blubal.2 clock is flashable to 4.2.2 [tested mwalt2's 4.2.2 toro]
for information on how flash or replace this system apk go to ecs1984's thread and read then thank him.
-The icon pack is to be applied in launcher settings [tested on apex]
-Softkeys and Lock were tested on Xylon 19.1 and Xenon and mwalt2's 4.2.2-toro Rom
- also included is an app drawer png and a folder png
All of this should be applied without incident and in little time but none the less I take no responsibility for any damage you do to your gn.
__BluWhiBal - I've only tested the zips[lock and keys] on aokp-toro-unofficial 4.2.2 with success using metamorph [although, with some force closes which are fixed with reboot].
For 4.2.1 or under I imagine Zip Themer may work.
inside unzippable zip;
lock, icon pack, softkeys[more keys then shown] and app drawer
The Folder icon is a result of the zips being emptied into the gallery! Not sure why that happens but all the pngs show in gallery. [which there a couple I didn't do great on, be kind}

Whats up ppl, I am new to Theme's on Android. I have tried to theme the framework-res.apk and get stuck with boot animation loop.
Mainly I would like to theme the status bar pull down with custom images
Also while I was at it I thought why not try and see how the lock screen clock looked after I chromed it .?.

and ummm, i kinda have a problem with a couple of the number.png's and the : are not displayed correctly in Ps .?.
I guess after I learn how to install the theme ( and it work ) maybe I will do a FULL theme one day for Jedi Roms in the near future.
I am going to look for already Decompiled un-themed folders. if you have a link to one that can be themed into Jedi Rom's please post link.

I would like some help making a flashable zip to replace some of these files. I have Shopped some numbers for the lock screen clock in attached zip

1) first of all be sure, that you want to add it to a samsung based rom
2) after that download the note2 mini rom from the rom section (you will find it with searching)
3) extract the .zip file, search the systemui, secsettings and secsettingsprovider (they are in the preload floder)
4) put them on your phone, replace the original 3 files, with the new ones (use root explorer)
5) you must make a factory reset, otherwise the secsettingsprovider wont do the job
6) enjoy, and dont forget to thanx

Ok. Thanks but, i put 3 files but change rom name, transparent systemui vs. i make new rom. and i learn how to. thank you.
You see, I am now using an android L theme on the new theme engine on PA BETA 1 but these navbar playstation icons bother me quite a bit. I much prefer the ones I use with softkeyz (no it doesn't work changing with it), the so called alternate android L's navbar.
Can it be themed manually or something? These ones to be more precise:
{

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Anyone has a clue? Someone with experience on themes or knows how to do it.
I was exactly searching for this !
I got it! Had to edit the theme by decompiling and recompiling it back with the navbar icons I wanted. It is not that hard though.

so easy...change your theme apk file to zip format by renaming it.open with win rar and unzip it.you have some extracted folders and follow this:
assets<overlays<com.android.systemui<res<drawable-xxhdpi.in this folder looking for these PNG files like ic_sysbar_home,ic_sysbar_menu and etc. these are the themed ones for soft keyz.change them as you wish and remember your modification should respect the orginal png file size.anfter that surf back to the root of themed folders and rezip and sign it with some thing like signer app. done!:good:
