AFAIK all the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 only has Exynos, only the 10.1 Tab 3 is using Intel Atom CPU.

nope, but in my opinion the exynos version is better because it has armv7 architecture "which is able to run many apps and games"unlike the atom version(for examble galaxy tab 3 10.1)which i already have"it has X86 architecture and i can't even install mods or play intense 3d games or run adobe flash player"
advice:go for the exynos version if you want to run many apps and games and never buy atom tablet unless you arehahaha.

Thank you!

Is it difficult to port a Custom Rom From the T311 to the T211..??

Ok, I am kind of lost, I am not a Developer, However to me Personally doesn't seem to difficult to be able to take a:laugh: Stock or even Custom Rom already running Great from the Galaxy Tab 3 T311 and have it run the same or even better on the Galaxy Tab 3 T211, I do Understand that theres much more things that should be considered besides the 1" size difference, but other than that both devices run 3g, can someone please enlighten us non kmowers, lol, cause our T211 section is like a GHOST town and would love to see it lite up like 42nd st in Manhattan on Christmas.. Thanks Muchhhhhh....

It is much more than just the size difference, the Tab3 range all use completely different CPUs and GPUs
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0
Processor: Marvell Technology Group PXA986
Graphics Adapter: Vivante GC1000+ Dual-Core
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0
Processor: Samsung Exynos 4212 1.5 GHz
Graphics Adapter: ARM Mali-400 MP4
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1
Processor: Intel Atom Z2560
Graphics Adapter: PowerVR SGX544
I Know its MUCH more than a size diffrence
I do understand that its more than just a size difference, I Know it has to do with Partitions, Kernels, DPI, CPU, GPU, However these other devices that have had totally different Roms for totally different devices ported into them. from what i have been reading in this forum is that theres a problem porting the Kernel, again i could be wrong. I cant Wait to flash something soon, cause this stock Rom SUCKSS..

I thought every single Galaxy Tab S tablets(both 8 and 10 inch as well as the LTE variants) have the Exynos chipset. I wasn't aware of any Galaxy Tab S tablet that had the Snapdragon SoC

Nexus 7 different SoC?

Hello everyone!
So recently I got my tablet back from repair (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2700426), the report says that motherboard was replaced. The thing that bothers me, is that after repair I've installed the CPU-Z app, only to find that my nexus has a snapdragon 600 SoC. Maybe I'm mistaken but I'm pretty much sure that nexus 7 (2013) comes with a s4 pro SoC. Can someone with a N7 2013 install CPU-Z and check it? I wanted to flash Lollipop preview, but if the SoC is different, I'm afraid of bricking it. Thanks in advance.

Says snapdragon 600 here.
Snapdragon 600 is branded as a S4 Pro, aka APQ8064–*...it's the same thing.
Snapdragon 600 here RAZORG (LTE)

Exynos or Snapdragon galaxy tab pro 8.4

Hi all!
I am considering replacing my Lg g pad 8.3 for the tab pro. The thing is that I have found two variants, one with the Exynos chip and the other with the Snapdragon. Which one should I go for? I enjoy playing intensive graphics games.
Thanks in advance!

The Tab Pro 8.4 always uses the S800. that being said, get the Tab Pro 8.4.

I saw it listed with an Exynos processor, it must have been an error from the seller. I am already enjoying my new Tab pro, so far loving it! Thanks for the reply

I may be misremembering so please do not take this as gospel, but I believe there is an LTE version of the Tab Pro 8.4 that uses the Exynos processor.

actually, it isn't like that. there's LTE models of the Exynos tablets (Tab S 8.4/10.5, Tab Pro 10.1/12.2) that have Qualcomm chips.

This is what I saw, as I said probably was just a mistake from the seller

And that's why I said I might be mistaken....which I was.
Looks like that screen capture of that ad is 'mixing' the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 with the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. I've done some more research (which I should have done before I opened my mouth, but I was tired and in a hurry) and it doesn't look like any version of the Tab Pro 8.4 comes with an Exynos processor. Only the WiFi versions of the tablets you mention above come equipped with Exynos processors.
Hope this clears everything up for the OP. Sorry for muddying the waters.
What's actually in this thing?

So I have the version that claims to be the Exynos 5420, and I'm wondering as to how the cores work. They claim that it can operate all 8 processors is at once, but cpu-z says that I've got the cluster switch style. It also says that the lower power a7 cores are clocked all the way up to 1.9 gigahertz. That is different than the marketing, which claims only 1.4 gigahertz I believe. Is CPU Z just confused you think? Or do you think the implementation is different in practice

[Q] Which processor really are in Tab S ? (8.4 and 10.5)

According to the info appearing at Samsung, TAB S tablet has an "octa core processor", there is no reference about type or model. or brand.
Info appering at PDADB is:
SM-T705 , SM-T705C, SM-T705M and SM-T705Y: all have Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5420
SM-T805, SM-T805C, SM-T805Y: all have Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5420
SM-T805K, SM-T805L, SM-T805S: all have Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5433
This forum says about TAB S : Qualcomm Snapdragon 800
I live in Colombia, we have here models T705M and T805M.
A local vendor says both models mount an "Adonis Prime+ XMM7160" processor
Can anybody clarify this mess ? are there really different processors for same model ? if so, are there any performance difference between those processors ?
Thanks,
Update:
It seems "Adonis Prime" is an alias for Exynos 5420.
Yeah, It`s a right mess different cpu for different markets and configurations.
Even the Samsung website for my region only gives the cpu speed and quad or octo core, but not a brand or model number, octo is normally exynos and quad is snapdragon at the moment.
Best to check with the supplier before purchasing if you want a certain model of cpu.
Never heard of the "Adonis Prime+ XMM7160" processor" will have to do a search, EDIT: Intel modem soc ??? see link below.
Some Samsung android tablets use Intel atom cpu, but normally the low priced choices.

Practically you will have a 5420 CPU in all but a couple of ones, the 807 AT&T etc ones. So expect the 5420 almost certainly. Watch out your local vendor has genuine stock, exynos with intel mobile chip is what you will get if genuine.
That quote seems wrong a bit wrong with me.

Thanks for your answers.
From the info I got since yesterday, it seems:
1. Exynos 54xx series is called also "Adonis":
One source (there are several similar): http://tech2yantra.blogspot.com/2014/04/are-you-getting-real-galaxy-s5-latest.html
2. XMM7160 is a modem LTE chip (from Intel):
Source: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us...e-communications/mobile-xmm-7160-1-brief.html
With this info, I guess the vendor is really very precise: Adonis Prime + (plus) XMM7160 are really the chips used by a Galaxy Tab S. (CPU + LTE modem).
It could be a little confusing because the name "Adonis" is not quoted normally (I found several quotes to "Adonis" in S5 in sites from Romania, Russia, India, etc)
What do you think about this "interpretation" ?
They do all these study's on what names and words work in different country's, some words that are fine in the west, might be offensive in some country's as they mean different things.
It certainty is confusing, so stop using words and use number, but not 666, 13, 7777 where does it end.
