Hello Gurus
I rooted my Note II N7100 way back and I have been using it happily since a few months, flashing roms etc etc. Here is the situation:
- I wanted to flash a new rom (dn3 v5) yesterday and I could not go in recovery mode and do the magic
- I have no more Root access, Recovery mode is looping & USB is not recognize, so I am stuck to flash it even using ODIN but the Note II boots on MIUI
Quick view:
ROM: MIUI v5 build 4.4.11
Bricked: Nope, I can boot and start on MIUI v5
What did I do before buggering you:
. spent hours goggling for a solution
. tried 4 different cables
. i tried to fixed the USB, so to use ODIN to flash the Note II. no success (developer options)
. did *#7284# on the dial pad to force USB mode to PDA is not supported by MIUI
. try with KIES, without KIES but the Note II is not recognize through USB - USB charging works
. tried on 2 different wintel 64 bits Win 7 boxes
. i lost root permission and recovery is launching me in loops
. Please remember before sending me post that I had a working system, rooted, with recovery mode enable for months.
Since the MIUI flash, I am stuck and don't know what to do next. I want to flash to another ROM and get away from MIUI but without recovery mode and no possibility to re map the boot loader with ODIN (Note II not seen by USB, but charges well) I really need your help for the next steps.
Let me know if you have seen similar issue and how to fix it?
Thanks
Benoit
Hi guys,
This is my first thread. After I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 with Kingo Root and downloaded ChainFire3D , I wanted to install the CF3D driver. So I did that, but during the installation I didn't know that the device was rebooting, so I did a factory reset. And now my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is stuck in recovery mode. So can anyone help me please? I don't know what to do further.
Hi. The fastest way is to reflash your firmware with Odin/reinstall custom rom using recovery (in case you have CWM or similar).
Hi! Im not much of a good IT but I really need help for those with knowledge about fixing bricked devices, or having boot loop issues. So my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 gt p5200, that's right, it's Galaxy Tab 3. Not 2. I really need help on how to fix my Tablet. The issue is that I ACCIDENTALLY installed a wrong kernel on my Tablet. I forgot to read the important NOTE about the kernel that I was gonna install cus it says it was only for Galaxy NOTE 2. And now My galaxy tab is having a boot loop issue like: When I turn on the Tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 logo appears for about 15 seconds, then It turns off by itself, and then It gets back on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 logo after a few seconds after it has turned off. I had already tried to install Stock ROM using Odin but it still doesnt work. So please help me for fixing this problem. I had this for about 3 weeks and I still cant find a solution. :'( NEED HELP! DESPERATELY! :'( I thank you in advance
Hi I accidentally installed a wrong kernel on my tablet using Odin and now it was bricked.. Everytome I turn it onn it only loads the logo that says "Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 then after a while it turns off then repeats the same thing again and again. Any ideas on how to flash or install a stock Kernel for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 gt-p5200. A help you be very appreciated!
Firstly many thanks for all the ROM and utility help over the years, XDA has made things much more enjoyable!
I've a Tab 3 10.1 (P5210) which refuses to reboot into recovery. I get the 'POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE' screen. If I reboot into download mode but hit volume down to reset the device it starts back up successfully.
I've been trying to install TWRP so I can install CM 12 but am stuck with the stock ROM at this stage.
I've probably missed a step somewhere but I've followed the linked thread on 10.1 P5200 & 5210 rooting and recovery replacement.
Advise please, as CM 12 will be a nice upgrade
