I have the latest radios (I think, NuSenseONE-Max RC7.3 is my new rom) and I would love to downgrade the radios to what were in my old rom, any way to either extract the radios from my old rom, or download older radios? The only radios I have found thus far are for the at&t/tmobile phones. I tried looking through the zip of my old rom, but no dice.
Edit: I should add, I want to downgrade because I am getting lower speeds since the switch and want my old speeds back.
Flashable radio files (fastboot or recovery) along with other stock files can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46506621&postcount=2
Changing your ROM (generally) does not mean you changed/updated your radio, and you probably didn't if all you did was flash a different ROM. To view your baseband (radio) version, have the phone powered off, hold down the volume down button, and power on the phone, to get to the bootloader screen, which will show what radio you currently have. Also, you can view your baseband in the about section in settings on your phone while powered on. The menu options may be slightly different depending on the ROM you are using, but go to Settings, About, Software info, More, and view your Baseband.

I know that I have already posted on someone else's thread, so I figured rather than hijacking someone else, I would start my own.
Here is my issue. I have tried every posted method out there for flashing Radios into my Sprint Vogue (flashed to MetroPCS). I am currently on NFSFAN's 1.00.6.5 Rom (21864), with radio 3.37.10.
I have tried...
*Flashing from SD card with a fat32 formatted 2 GB card, renamed radio to VOGUIMG.NBH (upper and lower case),
*Flashing via USB with ActiveSync on,
*Flashing via USB with ActiveSync off,
*Flashing via USB with bootloader preset,
*Flashed back to the Alltel rom used for SuperCID and tried to flash radio while in that rom,
*I have tried with radios 3.42.30, .40, and .50.
The only thing I have not tried has been mtty, but somehow I have my doubts that it will work.
Every time the RUU runs, it starts and the progress quits at 8%, with my phone being rebooted. Also, the RUU displays error message 328....
I have searched all over and tried a few things but most of them are related to the Titan and not to the Vogue. If anyone has encountered this issue and knows how to solve it, I am open for suggestions. Thanks...
I suggest your flash your phone with the stock rom of bell if your want the 3.42.5 radio. Just reset as soon as your see the 3 second customization screen.
Then unlock phone, and then flash your fav custom rom.....

Click to collapse
I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the suggestion...
@SL
I followed your advice to a certain extent. I went with the latest Sprint official rom, which carried 3.42.30 in it. This seemed to work ok. I still cannot go to .40 but I guess if I flash from the original carrier that had this rom, I will be in good shape (Bell with .50, etc). Do you know which carrier has .40? Thanks for the help!!!
@ SL
I finally went over to the Bell rom that can be found in HTC's official website. I am finally up and running with 3.42.50!!!
I will probably try to make a sticky or a post describing the problem and the solution for people with the same issue, which I have seen quite a bit looking for an answer...
Once again, thanks for all your help!
Trying to install Vaelpak 3.0 and I am having 1 hell of a time. I'm thinking it has something to do with my radio wimax pri nv ect.... because earlier in the week I tried flashing the combo and everything went to hell on my phone. I since then had to flash back to the previous radio and then had vp 2.3 running fine again. After that I learned that it was kernel specific problems with older HTC kernels so I flashed netarchy's and then went back to the radio combo and had this problem with my CPU load at 100% and always running at near 1ghz. Then I learned if your rom is not based on the 3.3 that the newest PRL with continue to overload your CPU the entire time. I hadn't gotten this problem really fixed by the time I found VP 3.0 and figured flashing this would just fix my problem with the newest PRI because its based on the 3.3 update.
After a full wipe (data, 2x cache, 2x dalvik) I flashed 3.0 only to get stuck in a white screen boot loop. So I DLed the file from another link moved it manually to my SD and flashed that... same problem. Then I decided I would restore my 2.3 through RA install rom manager and change my recovery over to clockwork to try to install the rom. No go. Then I flashed a previous version of 2.1 used rom manager to put RA back on (I've found this more reliable but at this point who the hell knows). Went into recovery and restored my backup made as of this friday. Still having the problems with the CPU load so I went back to recovery and flashed the older radio combo but noticed this doesn't have NV on it(not sure what NV is either). But all seemed to be working fine for moment until 2.3 started randomly restarting on me. So now my 2.3 isn't working and can't get 3.0 to flash.
Next thing I thought to do was to wipe all again flash 3.0 and then flash netarchy's kernel over the htc #15. BAM!! I get it to run through the boot into the set up menu asking for my gmail account. I enter my account info and wait, wait, wait, then it says cannot get reliable connection to google servers (also I notice that my data instead of a 3g icon says EvDo). Well now this can't be good. I try to turn on my wifi it says that wifi cannot perform search. I enter my network manually cannot find network. I've tried updated profile pri and everything else from settings and always get same error with communications saying call sprint(don't wanna do this will immediately void my warranty I'm thinking). Now the last thing left for me to check is if I can get 2.3 up again and check my wifi ect... through that.
Wipe, Wipe, Wipe, flash older radio combo, flash previous NV that wasn't in combo as far as I could tell, restore 2.3. All seems to be going well until I try my wifi. Cannot search again. WTF?? then instantly black screen to no where. Pull battery try again, get into the settings and then black screen back to Vaelpak boot animation. I am completely lost here I could really use some help. Like I said in the beginning I have a sneaking suspicion it has something to do with the radios combo ect... but can't figure it out on my own.
Well in case this has happened to anyone else and it is likely to happen somewhere down the road from people upgrading to roms based of the 3.7 update. The quickest fix I found was.
1. DL Unrevoked Forever from web page and flash it
2. Find a stock ruu for the 3.7 or do what I did and just DL Sprint Lovers PC36IMG.zip place in root of SD card and boot into hboot. Install the ruu.
3. Go to settings>software updates and update the PRI and the Profile
4. Remove the PC36IMG.zip from root of your SD card
5.(only applicable if you used the stock ruu) take your recovery of choice name it PC36IMG.zip and place in root of SD card. Boot into HBoot and install
then remove that from root as well.
6. Flash the Rom you were wanting to flash. This will take care of all Radio, Wimax, PRI, NV, and other problems between 3.7 based roms, Kernels and Radios.
Hopes this helps someone along the way.
This is NOT a "How do i return to stock thread?" as i plenty know how to do that. Its more of a two part question.
1.) Changed the lock screen banner on AOKP i believe it was, and then did the usual wipe before flashing (data/cache/dalvik/format system) and flashed several new roms. Wiped in between each. Each kept this custom text. Next thought was it could have been stored in the radio, so i flashed a lower radio, rebooted, flashed newer radio to no avail. Still said custom text on lock screen, no matter what rom. Flashed back to a rom with the option to edit it, changed it to Verizon Wireless, back to stockish look then. Guess the question is, does anyone know where exactly this text is stored?
2.) Every-so-often i take my phones back completely stock and wipe all memory. Just gives me a feeling of cleanliness. Fastboot flashed all my stock 4.0.2 images (radios, bootloader, recoveries) and did the update step, with reboots where needed. Took it all the way stock except for relocking. Once i was on 4.0.2, installed CWM touch and got IMMK76K rooted stock and newest radios. Noticed my notification blinking light was still blue from the last rom i flashed. I know i can easily change the color using an app/rom, but the question being is why did it carry over the led indicator color from a past rom when i took it all the way back stock. Where is this stored that it magically wasn't over-written by fastboot flashing all the stock images?
Long post, sorry.
Hi all,
I'm using a ROM, but am having different network reactions even though I removed as much from the ROM as possible so it would only change the interface. The phone is functioning fine, but signal strengths are different in different places after flashing the ROM.
What do you need to look for in a custom ROM package to tell what parts are being updated? (Radio, Bootloader, Boot Animation, Kernel, etc.)
Thanks!
Hi there mates,
A friend gave me a 2010 desire two days ago and i just need some questions answered, thank you for your time i realize its an old device.
I have 4.4.4 Beanstalk | Release 6 | bravo installed and i have some issues don't know if it is normal:
1. Hardware keys (home, menu, back and search) do not work, the trackpad works. They do light up. I fount the setting in beanstalk > navigation where you enable soft keys, but even the soft keys do not work, except for the back soft key.
I have Baseband No. 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27. Do i have to flash an older OS, if yes where can i find that rom ? Any experience will be appreciated.
The phone was given to me with cm 10, hardware keys also didnt work.
Your friend could probably answer a few of the questions...
- Did the hardware keys ever work properly with custom ROMs when your friend had it?
- Did your friend notice when they stopped working, was it software flash or drop on the floor?
I've never used a ROM with soft keys, so don't know why they don't work.
To test your hardware keys, you could nandroid backup your current setup, then flash an RUU (find and flash the 2.3.3 GB RUU from shippedroms)
If the keys don't work on stock unrooted ROM, then it's a hardware not software issue.
Your baseband is just your radio firmware, it is separate from your OS. You could flash a newer radio baseband (5.17.05.23), it requires S-OFF and I recommend you flash the radio.img using fastboot. It's not always necessary, generally if your current radio is working fine you don't have to change it.
Thank you for the reply. I will flash the rom u suggested:cyclops:
Cheers.
