I have it in both root of SD and the "0" folder. EFS_BACKUPS if done in TWRP. If you did it with FreeGee then in root freegee.

The root folder efs? I believe it is different from Samsung. Searching for mk9efs from system root led me here - /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/ . Searching for efs from the system root doesn't supply much, the location I just posted and a few other folders like efs-bridge. Now I may be wrong on this, @engine95 knows more than I, but I am under the impression that our efs are on 3 separate partitions and may not be accessible from a root file explorer. I don't think we have a root efs "folder". Again, I am NOT 100% on this and could be completely wrong.......

I'm not quite sure what he's asking.
The EFS backup with TWRP creates an "EFS folder with 3 files in it.
And if I remember right... @HPTesla is right. EFS is in 3 partitions. One of them is actually empty, but is still needed.
You can see the mk9efs files in the folder but that's it. Im guessing FreeGee and TWRP are basically just taking a picture of the partitions.
So to the OP, are you trying to make sure the files are there? Or are you trying to access the files in there?

? You should be able to do it from within TWRP. It depends on the version of TWRP you are using, 2.5.0.0 has been the most stable for this phone in my experience. It's an option in my backup and restore that I can check/uncheck. However, TWRP 2.6.3.0+ is needed to flash almost all 4.4 based roms and the options are different.

If you are still using the same TWRP version you used to make the backup but switched to an AOSP based rom it appears as if the backup disappeared. The backup is located in /data/media/TWRP but TWRP will look in /data/media/0/TWRP. You can copy the old backup to the 0/TWRP folder and reboot recovery.
If you are using a different version of TWRP than the one you used to make the backup, your backup may also not show up. You should use the version you used to make the back up to restore it back. I hope this helps.

It was on a stock based? And since it was there yesterday I doubt you are using a different TWRP. Ok I'm at a loss honestly....

With a file manager go to TWRP folder in sdcard or next SD depends on where you saved it. Then keep going into the folder until you come across the folder with your backup names delete that folder

Go to trwp folder and find backup subfolder. should be in there. Good luck
or if you're in TWRP you can go to restore backup and there's an option to DELETE backup in there. just like what born2getsoft said

Online nandroid screwed me. Or did it? Help.

So I made a backup of my Aokp rom with a long times worth of tweaks and settings, with online nandroid. I flashed another rom and hated it, so I went to go restore my backup and it was nowhere to be found in CWM. Does anyone have any idea where it went? I couldn't find it in the backup folder and onandroid didn't make a folder in my SD

check the blobs folder
Don't seem to have one. I ran a search in my file manager and it didn't find anything. Would it be a sub folder in one of the other ones on the root of the SD?

i stopped using cwm a while bac,k use twrp now much better imho. it should be in the internal sd card under cwm-backup-blobs.
Can you post the log file at /data/local/tmp/onandroid.log
Did you save the backup to the internal SD and accidentally wipe it while flashing the new ROM you didn't "care" for? Hate is such a strong word especially here..it comes down to user preference..no ROM.is a bad ROM really..its just what you want to get out of it.
One more reason for me to not use the online nandroids. Never liked the sound of if when it came out. Too many things can go wrong.

Efs folder doesn't exist

Hello.
Sorry for language mistakes, I don't learn english too much
About 2 months ago I missed imei by flashing custom rom. I thought that warranty is missed too, but service repaired my phone (at least I thought like that).
Now I want to backup efs folder, but it isn't existing . I searched with root explorer and it didn't show any efs folder.
It is surprise, that after typing *#06# phone show correct imei.
How can I create efs folder or backup imei without efs?
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda app-developers app
U cant access efs through ur phone(i mean using root explorer u cant backup efs folder) U will need to use ADB to backup although it is not needed to backup efs because custom rom only flashes the modifed firmware it does not flash baseband, imei etc. Only thing is u need to be careful with doing this kind of things.
Press thanks if helped.
That's it.
You can use EFS Backup. I strongly recommend it.

Efs folder backup?

Hi, I stupidly went back to stock and lost my imei number without making a efs backup, when I used aroma it asked if I wanted to make an efs backup and I said yes.
Would that backup help me in returning fully to stock rom? If so, where would that backup be stored in my phone?
Hope someone can help
Thanks a lot

The backup you made will be no good cause it will contain the efs of the new rom you installed.. you can check though. The efs backup will be on your sd card..
Sdcard/EFS
In efs theres folders inc imei wifi bluetooth etc

Do I have to be rooted to see that folder? As its not in my sd card, the only way I can see that folder is in root explorer but im not rooted at the moment.
Can I ask one more question? If I were to put stock rom back on my phone and use newer modem, my imei and network will come back, would I be able to get ota updates? Because when ive tried to search for an update, it would just hang on searching.

Yes. Copy them to your pc under efs backup aswell for safe keeping. There are guides on here of how to restore your efs with 4.1.2 roms but you will need root.
As you have efs backup I found this for you. Make sure you read and understand before doing anything..

That zip file in the link is a app. Download install.. if you backed up the efs on the stock rom before flashing the new rom it will work..
The only other thing to do is flash this modem via cwm recovery.
It says it fixes the problem

I still have a back up from efs pro? can I use that to restore my efs? if so how??

You've backed up the new modified efs folder which is only compatible with the new firmwares. You can restore from that backup, in fact you need to, but there is no going back to old firmware now. You can achieve stock if you download and flash a stock rom of version DME6 or newer, but you can never use anything older again.

How would I go about restoring that backup from efs pro? As when I am trying to select it in the restore section of efs pro it can not be seen in drop down box?
It is in tar format, there is a pit file with it but I guess as I wiped everything out of my actual efs folder through root explorer it might not work.
Also I have a pop up on my screen with loads of different information like an error pop up? I cant screen shot it other wise I would show u

[Q] {Q}Not able to full wipe

Hey, guys. I'm looking for some help here. I've been having some trouble with a few recent ROMs. I try to do a full wipe and do a fresh install of the new ROM, but I get an error saying something about being unable to read the lost + found file. I think it was deleted somehow because I can't find it. Does anyone know how to get it back? Can I possibly just reinstall a recovery or something? I don't actually know where the file even comes from to begin with.
Bump. Really needing some help.
Have you tried restoring a nandroid back up?? (If any)
At least you can start your search for a solution with a working phone.

I don't have a recent Nandroid backup at the moment. My last one would take me straight from AOSP 4.3.1 all the way back down to TW 4.1.2 and I just don't like that idea. It's caused me complications before.
File explorer?

Weird.. Are the contents of each of them the same?? If thats the case then it may have occurred when flashing roms and an not fully wiping.
