Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition Bootloop - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hey,
i want to flash the stock rom without bloatware. i needed to install twrp. so i flashed twrp (openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.1-lt03wifiue.img.tar) with odin.
after flashing, the device is starting bootloop. i just can go download mode.
what can i do to fix it?
greetings

I solved it:
I tried to use 2.6.3.0 instead of 2.6.3.1.
Grz.

did you use the cf autoroot? did you flash the stock recovery? or did you just autorooot and flash twrp?

i flashed autorootp600mj4.tar and stockrecoverymj4.tar with odin to get root.
after deleting knox-apps, i was flashing twrp.

[Solved] Help, I cant install custom recovery!

Hello.
Just got this phone, i trade it for a s3.First thing im trying to do is install custom recovery..but something is wrong. i flashed the phone like 15 times with all of the recoveries, twrp, cwm, philz... and the phone always boots into the official recovery. Odin says its ok.PASS, Sucsseded 1, failed 0..
And than when i try to boot into the recovery the stock recovery shows up??
It happened on the 4.1.2, and i updated it to 4.3, official via ota, and it is the same with 4.3 too.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks.
Are you rooted?

nope? should i be?
all official 4.3.
You're supposed to root the phone first, then flash custom recovery.

Lol, im trying that right now!
Phils recovery has a root and custom recovery in one that can be flashed with odin. Because you have done the 4.3 ota you will probably have to deal with knox now. Dr ketans guides are really helpful, you need to know what bootloader you have now.

I did it!
The solution is TO READ! What i didnt do completly
The problem was with the recovery restore files that were present. I manged to rename those files, root it and install twrp with the SkipSoft toolkit.

Again, did you flash the new bootloader using the Odin firmware.tar(stock) prior to flashing TWRP 2.7?
You would need to download and install stock NB4 firmware which includes the new modem and bootloader, THEN odin the TWRP 2.7, then you can flash custom rom from there.

That is the only way that you will get TWRP 2.7 to work.
First Odin to Stock NB4 (Kitkat) software, this installs the modem and the bootloader, then odin the TWRP 2.7 recovery.
Good luck! Should go pretty smoothly, took me about an hour or so to do it all(including flashing CM11 and re-setting everything back up)

How do you root the 4.4.2 N7100?

Towerlroot didn't work. Are there any other methods that work?
Install Philz Recovery with ODIN 3.09.
https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/
After, flash SuperSU in recovery.

Cf-autoroot has always worked for me.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933542
Flash with Odin, update SuperSU from playstore.
Update binary when asked, disable knox.
You will have stock recovery. Flash TWRP or CWM as needed.
Yo guys which one is safer/has worked on more phones? that philz method or chainfire? im also running the FND3 GT-N7100 4.4.2

For me, Philz one is safer.
Altho both are safe.
However, Philz saves you a bit of the hassle, by installing both a recovery and rooting.

Cannot root SM-T700

Hi
I've previously rooted this tablet, and today tried to install CM12. It failed, so I flashed a stock ROM through ODIN, and I can no loger gain root access by either flashing this:

or this:

Please help!
What kernel update is the stock rom\ build date? The latest update doesn't work with cfautoroot which some people say. Have you tryed flashing twrp with Odin, then SuperSU.zip?

Flashing Stock ROM Question?

Hi guys.
I'm wondering, if I flash stock ROM to my note via Odin, do I need to re-root ?
And only recovery is back to stock one right?
Thanks!
Yes you will need to re-root. But it's really very easy. Just flash TWRP after stock ROM and then install SuperSU.zip.
Depending on the phone model and stock ROM version, you may be able to root by using cfautoroot and Odin.

there is another Solution to flash stock firmware ,and without PC !!
you can use FlashFire .apk
you can keep root access & inject SuperSu while flashing & manage recovery... and,.....
and the most important thing it is chainfire made
Can the stock rom be flashed with the TWRP, like an AOSP rom (img file) ?

No. But you can use eclipse (flash via TWRP) if you want the feeling of stock ROM.
Sorry guys guys for late reply.
I was using Kingroot before but I cant run flux or cf lumen using with its root access.
I tried using the CF autoroot, flash using odin, its all good no error and "Passed".
After rebooted, I try to run the SU and get this error:
"there is no su binary installed and supersu cannot install it. this is a problem"
I then installed latest TWRP using odin and installed latest SU using recovery but the error still persist.
What should I do? Thanks!

Its n7100 with 4.4.2
N7100XXUFNI4 - October 2014
I have always had success with cfautoroot.
Just double-check to make sure you used the correct version of cfautoroot, Odin 3.07, and the original Samsung USB cable.
Did you flash a stock ROM after kingroot failed? If not, this may be why cfautoroot didn't work.

Do I need to use the Odin 3.07? Cant use the latest one?
Nope. I flash stock ROM and trying to find easy way to root. I tried Kingroot.
Now, I uninstall Kingroot and try to root like good ol day. but it didnt work.. :crying:
You don't have to just Odin 3.07 but that's what I always use.
Flash back to stock, then use cfautoroot.

Tried with 3.07. Same issues.
Em, I will stick with Kingroot if I need to flash back I guess.
Is there any other way?
I'm using this one tho:
CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar.md5
You tried 3.07 to flash stock or cfautoroot? I meant use 3.07 to flash stock, then use 3.07 to flash cfautoroot.

I reflash my note to stock and flash cfautoroot after. It worked perfectly fine now.
Kingroot was the real culprit.
Thanks!
That's great:good:
