[MODDED APP]Launcher2 w/ SMS Shortcut instead of Browser

Hello GUIse & Girls
I don't know about you, but I love the AOSP launcher from Android 2.3, it's sleek, compact and does exactly what it says on the tin. The only thing I have to fault about it is the fact that you cannot customise the dock to put an app of your choice there. So, I downloaded Launcher2 today and had a look in the PNG's & XML's and I saw that you can infact reroute it to show the app of your choice. So, I am introducing to you Launcher2 with the SMS Shortcut instead of the Browser. Below is a screenshot as an example, download link is also below just flash as normal via CWM. If you want anymore shortcuts adding to the dock, let me know and I'll do it. If you want to add this into your ROM. PM Me to let me know. Also, thanks to ReddV1 for giving me permission to modify and give me some tips on doing this.
THIS ONLY WORKS ON AOSP ROM's or with the AOSP SMS Installed.

Nice work mate... Always liked Launcher2 but with the same thought that I'd like to change that second app...
After trying out TW I might have to give this a go!

Every time I click on the icon it says application is not installed on your phone.

The icon looks like it could be ChompSMS, but I just figured that was the image used...

I will install chomp and see thanks for the advice.

Notice that NitrozK has updated the OP to show that its the AOSP SMS app that this works with...

I'm running it on Revolution HD-Galaxy Nexus LTE 2.1.1 with out issue. So yes, it does work on LTE...
But one thing I just found was when in a call and you pull up the dial pad the numbers are the stock blue color again.

Looks great!
Minor problem, though- when putting a contact on a home screen, the icon appears in its depressed form (no, not that kind of depressed)! They are overcast in cyan.
Edit: reflashing.
This may be user error. I've done so much modding to this phone in the past couple days that I'm having trouble keeping some things straight. I think I may have manually replaced the contacts.apk to get the black dialer before flashing this...but still, shouldn't this overwrite that change?

Stock JB SMS theme

Hi Good people,
I wan wondering whether I can get the stock or blacked out (preferred) of the JB SMS Theme instead of the touchwiz so I can flash.
I'm using the DLI1 modem.
If you'ved seen one, please point me to that direction.
Any help is appreciated.

Then you need to download aosp sms app because samsungs sms app is not just themed, it's different app than aosp's one.
Edit: i don't know if it works but you can try grab sms app from cm10 and put it in /system/app, set permissions to rw-r--r-- and reboot.
Edit2: there are many themes which modifies samsung sms app also, see my sms app pic below (themed with alexandertheme v1):

I'ved tried this one but when reading or composing SMSes, it reverts back to touchwiz which is my opinion one of the worst looking SMS theme ever...

But you can change background of read/compose page yourself, just press menu button in sms app, and then settings -> background style, there is few backgrounds already and you can choose own bg by pressing that square on bottom-left corner, when you selected background, just hit save button on top-right corner.

Custom drop down notifications?

Just looking to see if anyone has some awesome backgrounds for their notification drop downs. Also if people would be willing to post some links to download them. Just trying to get a fully customized experience on my S3

I remember freeza having a how-to guide for creating such mod, but it hasn't been updated to reflect JB yet. I tried creating some myself but I kept receiving and error when recompiling the apk. Maybe freeza or some other member would be willing to write another how-to guide into doing this, I'd still be interested at giving it another shot. Also, I know Josh had some in his old ICS JellyBomb ROM, not sure if he's update then to JB either

Dang bro you really like taking screenshots from your phone don't you lol. He didn't ask for it to be semi-transparent but to have a image on the drop down. Not sure how you got that from what you read lol.

lol it's all good. Any customization really. I just flashed the Wicked sensations ROM and it's got a pretty sweet one that came with it. Might just keep this for a while.

(Mod) 12/13 Update MJE SecMms.apk with Screen-on/off toggle

Here is the stock MJE messaging app with screen-on/off toggle. I couldn't stand my screen coming on every time I got a message.
12/13 - I updated with increased MMS size limit.

They are different..... I didn't check to see the exact changes, but yes. Its a pretty easy mod, so not worth checking to see if its worth it.
Also, the download doesn't work on the link you provided.

Does this increase the MMS size limit?

No, I don't send MMS very much. Its bone stock with the screen-on/off toggle.
Here, I just did this one. It has the MMS size limit increased.

What do you mean by" size limit increased"?

It increases the MMS Max size to 2048000 bytes and also increase the MMS Image size to 4096x2048*
