Plain Black TPU Case

Has anyone tried this case yet?

It states that it is a TPU case. And, it doesn't appear to have any patterns of any kind. If you have ordered one, let us know how it fits. Pictures would be great also! I will be ordering my Captivate next week!

I found similar items on Ebay. I believe that they still have the argyle pattern, but on the inside; since the material is solid instead of transparent you cannot see them once you insert the phone. I have ordered one and am waiting for delivery.

Awesome! Would love a few pictures when yours comes in! Can you post a link to the eBay auctions where you've seen this? Or, did you purchase the one I posted?

I bought one off of ebay, here is the link (ebay case). Upon further review, I am not sure if Polyolefin is the same as TPU, perhaps it is a blend. I suppose I will find out in a few days.

Thanks for the info!

from your links, if you change the colors to the transparent one, it still has the argyle patterns. probably its the same case with the Amzer brand one...

You are correct, and that was the point I was trying to make, sorry if I wasn't clear. I do however think that the offering is different than the Amzer selection, because all the Amzer cases are made from transparent material. This case however appears to be made from non-transparent material which prevents you from seeing the Argyle pattern that is imprinted on the inside. It still has the pattern, but since you do not see the inside once the phone is inserted then you can no longer see the pattern. At least, I hope this is the case. I suppose I will find out soon enough.

Any of you get this yet? It looks quite promising IMO

Still waiting on mine.

TPU Case
There were 2 listed...one from Day Deal, which I bought, and the one linked above which also appears to be Day Deal under a different name. If you want it, you'd better hurry!!!

Only thing I don't like about these TPU cases is that they're glossy...
The Body Glove at least puts the stripes in it to get it grippier... Is it worth over twice the cost? Probably not.

Just received the case from the Ebay link that I posted and I am quite impressed. It is a nice solid black that almost retains the stock look and feel. Much easier to hit the softkey buttons at the bottom and slide the brightness along the top than when I had the black silicone case on it. It is glossy, but looks very nice. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a solid black TPU case, and does not want to see the funky Arglye pattern or whatever it is called. I will try to upload some pictures later if I can figure out how to get the pictures off my wife's camera without a cord...

the black tpu case looks very bland..and the glossy finish doesn't help it at all

Nope...I have been checking ebay on a daily basis

I have a little trick I will share with you on TPU aka PLASTIC cases...
If its sticky/tacky/oily, wash it in VERY WARM water with ONE DROP of dish washing detergent and rub it all over the case inside and out. Allow it to dry or dry it off WELL and it will no longer be sticky/tacky/oily... worked great on my iphone 4 phone case before switching to mytouch 4g... yes I RETURNED the iphone 4 and cancelled my account (no cancel fee!) on att to go to mytouch, and I would do it again.. its 10x the phone the iphone is and I have yet to drop a SINGLE CALL, I lost 10 a week on iphone.... att SUCKS here in hawaii...

I am looking for one too.... i am kind of using my old nexus one tpu case for now...it barely fits with a little force ...haha i might mod it to fit better

It's harder than those silicone gel cases and fits much more snug, doesn't get linty or come off when you take it in and out of your pocket

So these are like the Epik cases then? I think I'll go ahead and pre-order one of these - I need something that will protect the phone but let me slide it in and out of my back pocket. What I really want is something like Agent18's cases for the iPhone 3Gs - I loved that case - but alas, I haven't found anything close to it yet.

That's the nicest case I've seen yet

This one looks pretty nice for the price. http://www.7gadgets.com/2011/03/24/...or-the-motorola-xoom-google-android-3-0/33309 it says its 8.99 but the link brings you to Amazon and its 14.99 the way it props up doesn't look as sturdy as the one you posted but it is much cheaper.

I want to see the reviews of this roll in. Getting my XOOM tomorrow, I will need something like this. but for 50 bills it needs to be perfect.

I actually bought one from him on eBay. By far worth the money. Doesn't stretch out or anything. I'm very happy with it.
Even though I have a screen protector, I wanted something that would cover the front, and this has two small magnets that keep it closed.
Again, worth it.

A few folks over on the Motorola Owner's Forums Xoom discussions are liking the KeviKev case... and a few others. It may be worth your while to go check out those threads too before buying!

Does it keep a good grip does the xoom haze a chance to fall out? Port for charging while closed?

From the pics it does look like there is a cutout for the front camera(I noticed they updated the pics of it)
about the cutouts for the ports. There are only a couple folio cases on the market that have the cutouts for the ports. I've seen videos of people using an exacto knife to cut out a hole for the ports.. Let's just say I'd much rather do that to a case that cost 15 bucks then one that's 50 hahah
I just ordered the navitech case until there is more of a selection to choose from. This one is by far my favorite but really cant think about spending $129 on a case even if it's the best looking one at this point

Can you post pics of it folded over flat (not propped up)? I'm interested in how thick it is when open and top cover folded back.

TPU case from Verizon

I picked up a perfect TPU case at Verizon for my Xoom Wifi. Just letting you know if you aren't looking for the book style. It was unbranded so I have no clue who makes it. Its thick and fits like a glove. The color matches up perfectly. Its like a tinted smoke. Also comes with a screen protector. It's not great but works. Doesn't cover the entire glass. Just the screen.
It's really glossy and grippy. Smooth and doesn't attract lint. Looks great and doesn't detract from the sleekness of the xoom.
Its not on their site. I just walked into my local Verizon and asked to see all their xoom cases. Got sick of buying cases from the web to receive them and find that they suck.

It was more than I expected, 35 bucks with tax I think, but the fact is that it's really nice. Words to describe this case are: Rigid, smooth, grippy, classy.
those black silicon cases are no good. They are all floppy and collect lint. TPU cases are where it's at.
The guys working at the Verizon store I went too were pretty lame. I asked if they had xoom cases. One dude said no, then another guy said yes and sends mr. no over to this cabinet. They weren't on display at all. He opens the cabinet and I had to tell him which one was made for the xoom. He didn't even know what a xoom was. It was wierd. At any rate, they had a folding book style, then this TPU case.
Since I had no luck buying them from Amazon, even after reading good reviews I went on a mission to find one locally. This is the only case I'll ever need for this thing.

Oh wow thats quite a bit. I hear you on TPU being better. I have a case like the one you have for the xoom but its for my thunderbolt. I dont use the silicon xoom case as much now. I been using the folio case with the built in stand from verizon. Great combo with the xoom keyboard when you need a stand.
But I like your TPU case more lol. Good find!

They sell the same cases on amazon and Walmart for around fifteen (stupid xoom won't let me put numbers ...or backspace).

That's not really descriptive. When you buy from amazon, it's not always amazon. There are tons of sellers and such. You could have bought it from a bad seller. Not all are the same. Like ebay.

I bought it from the same company in your amazon links. It's ok, but the one I got from Verizon is better. And they are definitely NOT the same thing like you mentioned above.

ebay TPU case I bought from a US seller for $7 fits like a glove. Same TPU case i have on my EVO.

Just got my case today and it's awesome. Just as good of a quality as a $25 or more case. Combined with my invisible shield, I'm good to go. Here's some pics of the front and back. My camera had a bit of trouble focusing on it. As I was trying to keep myself out of the pic.

Please recommend me a case from Ebay

I just bought a TPU case from Ebay which would have been great except for the fact that the cut out for the mini usb is not big enough, so I can't plug in the charger properly =/
Can you please recommend me a case from ebay <$10 (I'm not baller like you guys dropping $50 on a case lol) that covers the phone completely (no Rock Quicksand please). Generally I favor TPU cases because it seems like it has better shock protection then hard cases since its a softer material, but I'm open to all suggestions. A case similar to the Incipio Silicrylic or SGP Neo Hybrid would be great, but they are just more then I would pay for a case. Ebay links are better then Amazon because I need to ship it to Canada.
I'm considering the Mercury Pearl case but 1) all the colors are pretty girly 2) there's a lot of branding on the back

I had a case mate barely there brushed aluminum for my sgs2 and am debating getting one for this phone.. It was beautiful.. Except for the case mate logo on the back lol

Many Amazon.com sellers do not ship to Canada, so ebay is preferable since HK/China will ship to Canada. Besides, many Amazon sellers just buy products the same Ebay products from China to resell at a mark up. For example the S-Line case posted above.
