I rooted the Note 10.1 2014 weeks ago but just got around to installing TWRP today. I got it up and running then, in preparation to flash CleanROM, I booted into TWRP and factory wiped. It locked up, rebooted after a couple of minutes and will not get past the Samsung screen.
I can't boot back into TWRP, holding the power+Volume up just cycles the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 screen over and over until I let it go when it then hangs on the samsung screen. I can get into download mode but I have noting to flash. I tried to flash the stockrecoverymj4.tar (from the autoroot download) but it still hangs on the Samsung screen.
Where/how/can somebody help my to get a ODIN-able full recovery image??
Thanks.

Thanks. I will keep this handy. Not a full image because it is too small.
Fixed my issue. I was able to get into recovery and wipe again. I guess TWRP didn't finish the wipe.

No it is not a full image , it`s just a stock recovery image that`s help with such situations.

thank you
flash stock rom via odin
if you can get into recovery, do a factory reset, and reboot, and it should come up for you; you may just want to do a battery pull first and see if that does it

Please advise what should I do now,
My N5100 stuck at boot, the part where is shows "Samsung GALAXY Note 8.0 GT-N5100", it just stuck there and not boot.
I tried boot into recovery and reset still no use.
I can boot into Download mode as well as PhilZ Touch Recovery though.
What should I flash using Odin to make my Note 8 back to normal again?
Really thanks alot for the guide.

I have been able to get passed the lockup by holding the up volume button after powering on.
keep it held until you get to the lock screen. About a 2 minute wait.

I have had similar. For me it just reboots into the custom recovery all the time.
One way would be to flash a new ROM using Android Toolkit

Hi, this happened to me once and what I did is quite drastic, but I flashed a new ROM, as other methods for me simply didn't work ... the time it took to redownload my apps and set up the note 8.0 was minimal compared to the frustration I was having with note 8.0.
I put a rom (omni rom in my case, or you could use whatever you want such as a backup of your old rom) on my sdcard and just flashed it using my recovery (which is twrp, and which I could boot into). Since you can boot into PhilZ recovery, this method might work if you want to do it.
One last thing, the title of my reply mentions the android toolkit (which is now the skipsoft unified android toolkit). I did not have a rom on my device, so I used the toolkit to put a zip file of a rom on my device.
Hope this helps,

Download Odin, get the stock rom from http://www.sammobile.com
Boot into download mode, power button, volume down and the home button
Click continue, start Odin, now is the time to connect the tablet to your pc
Uncheck reboot on the left side
Click on pda, the file you downloaded from sam mobile is a zip file, open it to reveal the md5 file, place the md5 file on the desktop so it's easy to find
It should recognize the file in Odin and once it's done it should say succeeded 1
Then unplug the cord and reboot your tablet if it already hasn't done so. Holding down the power button until it turns off should do the trick. Any questions feel free to post here

I have also tried using odin through odin mode with the .tar file I got online and followed all the instructions but still I cannot use my phone pleeeaaassseee heeeeeelp me. it is very serious and frustrating. thanks
Hey guys Last night I tried to install the newest twrp. It installed fine. I made myself a back up of my current system, everything. So I got to wipe the system to install a new rom. It gets stuck whipping the cache, just sits there for 3 min, then it restarts itself. Now the tablet boots to the Samsung galaCy note logo and that's it. I can no longer get into recovery or system. I can boot to download mode but when I press volume up it just restarts back to note 10.1 2014 logo. I pretty much f, ed right. Any help would be great thanks.

Unfortunately, yes.
If you can`t get to recovery, then probably you are bricked, are you sure you installed the correct TWRP version on your note.
last chance is to use kies and a stock image.
it seems it's more careful to use twrp 2.6.x instead of 2.7.x.

This is the one I installed and yes it is a 2.7.x version. What can I do with kies?
Thanks guys for the help
Maybe you can try to flash an stock image (4.3 or 4.4) with kies.
Sure you can' t go into bootloader mode to flash with odin ?
Just to let everyone know, I let the battery completely did on my tablet, waited a half hour and she booted right into download mode. Got the new kitkat 4.4.2 image and flashed it with odin no problems. Boots right into recovery and system no problem. Will now root again and install twrp. Thanks for the help guys. Love this site.
I attempted to unroot my tab s with a stock image using Odin. Usually this works with no problem. I had CM11 installed and was going back to stock. It went through the whole process but when it reboots, it gets to the screen where it says Samsung but goes no further. I can get into download mode with no problem but flashing the stock image will not let it boot up correctly. Any help would be appreciated.
Stock Kernel?
Wipe cache and dalvik cahche in recovery.
I cannot boot into Recovwey. I can get it to reboot either into download mode. Also when it reboots it will just go to the screen that says Samsung.. It is the screen right after the one that has the actual Ssunf logo and it says SM-T700
I would guess flashing another rom from the uk or different country would work? You should be able to get into recovery by holding the power home and vol up button.
When I do that it reboots but just brings up the same Samsung screen and it stays there. Is there something I can try to flash through Odin because I can get to the download mode? I already tried flashing the stock firmware but not the latest version. Maybe I can flash the latest?

It could of been that the new update fixes some issues in which is why you couldnr flash the old update.
Hello crew, I've recently gotten a Note 4 through sprint. I've been rooting devices since the HTC Magic and have had no bricks. I rooted my Note 4 via Odin 1.85. I flashed the latest twrp and It worked great. This morning my phone was frozen and when I pulled the battery, it boot looped. Figured it was a stock kernel issue with xposed installer. I went back into twrp and it refused to mount the system partition. I can't flash a rom, I can't recover from any of the images I created. I went through the unroot process and flashed the stock recovery back with odin. Now it boots but hangs up at the samsung splash screen for a while then loops. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
Flash twrp again.

Thank you for the fast response. I did. I tried an older version too just in case it was a bug. No luck. When I used Odin to flash the stock recovery and rom back it starts to boot past the black and white Note 4 screen then gets to the samsung splash screen and it just hangs there. I cleared the cache and did a factory reset in the stock recovery.

OEL? I don't understand why It won't mount the system partition in twrp. I had no initial issues at all. I even flashed a Cyanogenmod nightly. It's still early and wasn't very stable so I went back to a backup I made. worked fine. I was back to rooted stock. Then the next day it froze and here I am.

Yep... OE1... Samsung's latest bit of terrorist activity.
Read through the general and help threads... You'll see.
Try notarized rom (search) and then wait for the next official release (5.1.1?) .

Yes, also noticed OP's Odin 1.85 is old.
To OP: CF Auto Root comes bundled with the recommended Odin. I think we're using 3.07 or 3.09 but 3.07 is recommended to uncheck the auto-boot so user can pull USB and battery after flashing custom recovery over OE1 so it sticks.
I also recommend flashing root tar and rebooting as chain fire recommends. "If you don't get to the red Android logo, boot into recovery manually ("adb reboot recovery", or boot while holding Power+VolUp+Home)."
Once booted, see what build you have.
