Unrooted my 5110 but when I try to update it gives me the message "You have modified..." and will not update. Looked for stock ROM to flash but had problems navigating around the bull**** sites. Anyone have the stock ROM?

Did you clear the counter with Triangle Away, and unroot with Supersu Pro before attempting??
Also what method is your ROM setup for... Odin or TWRP?
I have a modded recovery loader so, what I am able to do will be different in results beyond the basics.
Download which one you want from this page:

And odin it.

Thanks.
I don't no why there is no USA version
But you can use the XSA ( australia) or BTU (united kindom)

This isn't for our device specifically, but it's all the same. Kies, tools, emergency recovery.
Just make sure you allow kies to install all the drivers

Kies won't connect. Says Failed to retreive device info.

allright i just got a S3 sgh-i747m and i wanted to root it. i have alot of experience with jailbreaking apple devices but this was my first android product. and ofcourse i messed up. i used a root for a different model of my phone (the international version) and not i am stuck at the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please select recovery mode in kies and try again", so i tried that, and kies will not pick it up. so now i ask., what can i do to make this thing go back to normal?, i dont mind if i have to wipe the thing. please let me know here asap
sorry
allright guys, this would be really appreciated asap. sorry.
I have the same model and I encountered the issue my self. Just download the stock rom and download odin 3.07 and using odin update to the stock rom, If you want the links to stock just go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3 and select your device and download the firmware.

Hi All,
I currently have my phone running Slimbean build 4.1 with CWM installed for my recovery. I want to restore my phone back to stock to unlock it, and give Touchwiz a try again. Whats the best way to do this? I remember reading there was some sort of unlock method using from a stock os, can I still do this?
Thanks in advance.
Download odin for your pc and the stock firmware for your carrier. Use odin to flash the firmware. Both of these can be found in the Android development section.

Actually, I plan on going stock, no root. I don't use root functions that much. Problem is (for me anyways) I can't get a single hotfile link for the firmware to download right now, keeps getting Network Timeout.

Yeah, both on sammoblie (as well as the fourm's here) link to hotfile.
Well, got the phone back to stock, unlock not so much. Oh well, it was worth a try. Touchwiz is kind of nice, glad I went back.
Thanks for the help, I ended up having to use my cell connection to download the file, something OS related on my PC. oh well.

You won't unlock it for free (perma unlock anyway). You'll either have to get the code from your carrier or buy it online.

It might. I never tried it. Although, trying to get it from your carrier is the easiest way. Chat with the support and ask them (can make up some excuses). Could take a few tries.

How? I've installed 4.1.2 stock. I go back into download, Odin then cf autoroot plug in my phone. Odin sees it fine. Hit start, tries to install, hangs then it says failed.
I don't know any other way to do it.

Ok, I was running deTmobilized 1.5, I flashed enewmans firmware update zip (no wipe) rebooted. Then I booted back into recovery, did a full wipe, flashed loserskater's rooted rom, and now I'm running rooted ota 4.1.2 with cwm touch recovery still intact... took all of 10 minutes maybe, no pc, no odin, all from my phone...

Just to check, in Odin you see something like "<ID:0/005> Added!!" right?
Are you using the stock USB cable?
if both are yes....no idea, sorry.

Yes both are yes. Ill just wait.
It sounds like you have an Odin problem, not a CF Autoroot problem.

It certainly is possible however I used 4 differnt versions of Odin. I used Odin fine to return to 4.1.1 stock the upgraded so I don't think Odin is the issue.

I assume thats the one I need? I tried two others from the samsung firmware site but the flash fails. Maybe it was a bad download or I should try a different recovery?

Yep I have the SM-T310. I tried the XAR and BTU firmwares and both fail to flash. Not sure if those should work or not or if maybe they were bad downloads or if I should try a different recovery. Im on CWM 6.0.2.8.

The files that you downloaded come as tar.md5 and can only be flashed using ODIN, not recovery files.

I have acquired a Note 4 the other day and when I try to power it on I'm greeted with this message. I've done some searching on YouTube but I don't see anyone with this specific error, the top left part has information on it that most videos don't cover. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Can you tell me specifically what program to use and firmware to flash? It's been several years since I've had to do anything like this.
If you have twrp, just flash from it. If not, use Odin to flash twrp first, and then you can picj any room you fancy
