CM11 (4.4.2) bluetooth on m7vzw - Verizon HTC One (M7)

Hi,
Posting this here since I'm 'new' on xda and don't have enough posts to place this in the dev forum...
I've been running the CM11 builds on my vzw HTC One since the initial unofficial builds were released by flyhalf last month. Generally runs great, very happy using it as my daily driver.
After the 4.4.2 nightlies were released, I ran into the same bluetooth connection bug as everyone else did.
The 12/13 & 12/14 builds weren't working, so I went to an unofficial build from 12/16 that brenuga made available. This build works well and I've had almost no issues with it. I've since tried the official 12/16 release, and BT doesn't work...I would like to jump back to the official builds.
I see the CM nightlies are now up to 12/20. Can anyone confirm that the bluetooth fix is now available in the official nightlies? I've been through the change logs and still see no mention of a fix...
Thanks!

A couple of days ago. BT was rebased on cm-11. Ever since then my metadata in BT (example Pandora data was being sent to radio in my car) has started working. Try a new nightly build. I am pretty possitive they have worked out almost all the bugs now.

Thanks for the info! I had flashed 12/20 a few hours ago and just spent two hours in the car using Pandora over BT, rock solid.
By the way, thank you for your work and contribution. :good:

quick question about cm7

what is the difference between nightly and stable??
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
You basically just said it.
Nightly- not stable and each one builds upon the other and fixes bugs
Stable- completely working, bugs fixed, no problems besides user error

Interestingly, with CM7, the nighties are themselves, very very capable and remarkably stable. Definitely stable enough to be most people's daily driver.
I run nightlues all the time and they are very stable. Much better than rls1 ever was. A full stable should be coming soon though.

Like the people above me said, Nightlies are compiled every night (usually) and aren't considered by Team Douche to be "stable." Oh, and if you file a bug report about something in a Nightly, expect to be burned at the stake.
RC's are a tad more stable than Nightlies (typically) and while they don't include the latest-and-greatest features all the time (ie, RC1 is now outdated and doesn't have WiMAX or the battery percentage in the status bar), you can file bug reports about them and they'll usually get solved.
Stables are just what their name says: Stable. There's rarely any major bugs in them, and when bugs are discovered, a bug report can be filed, and assuming it's not an 1D10T error, gets fixed, and integrated into the next Nightly/RC/Stable, or they'll just make a .1 release (ie, 7.0.0 to 7.0.1 and so on).
Right now though, CM is in feature freeze, so all that's going into Nightlies right now are bugfixes (for example, the WiMAX code for EVO broke a bunch of other phones in weird ways, and the Nexus One has a "wonky" bug). We'll probably see RC2 in a week or two, and then 7.0.0 stable within a month.

Best CM7? Nightly? Stable?RC?

Which one is better. Can make up my mind. Happy Easter.
Go for nightly 54. Haven't used my phone much...92% and about 6.5hrs on battery life.
Been riding the Stable for a while. The talk following the immediate nightlies thereafter put me on hold, figure I'll wait it out until drastic changes / additions start happening.
Seems like said issues have been addressed and / or a fix is available. Stable has been running great for me, using Tiamat, and haven't really had a reason to move on.
So long as you avoid the 'bad ones' you should be good.
do you not know the difference, or are you asking what are the benifits of the newest nightly over stable? if so, here's the changelog. http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=supersonic . happy easter

although there are a few bugs you can find a few answers in my siggy and the rest in the xda threads.
Use Nightly 54
I have been loving Nightly 54 with gps-test.zip to fix Google Maps. Everything has been running smoother than Stable, good luck!
stable 7.0.1 is out.

I'm interested in the bluetooth changes. I have never been able to get bluetooth working without bugs no matter the release on AOKP. It has always had little quirks / bugs that are super annoying.
Any chance 4.3 addresses some of the 4.2 BT bugs? Or does anyone know a rom where BT works flawlessly? I use it so often I need it to work well and it just doesn't work well on AOKP currently for me.

Bluetooth works great on Tasks latest release. Also haven't seen any complaints lately in the CM thread.
Cm will be the first. They already have an N4 booting 4.3 (kinda).

Maybe for you.... on my device it's never worked "great". Most of the time, it "gets by" for me. I get constant random reboots when on BT, doesn't auto connect to stuff properly, i still get "turning bluetooth off....." message. I've almost always have these issues on task's 4.2.2 rom no matter which build or how it was loaded (complete wipe, etc). There was 1-2 rom builds with his rom that worked really well BT wise for me then the rest just seem to struggle to keep up with the rest of the rom It really sucks because I LOVE everything about the rom. I just wish I knew how to fix BT!!!
I'm hoping the 4.3 BT changes that come will have some benefit for the BT bugs i've seen.

Has anybody tried official CM11 nightlies?

Hi,
I am talking about those cm-11-201312??-NIGHTLY-maguro.zip from: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=maguro&type=nightly
Maybe something is completely broken there?
Runs faster than CM10.2 stable?

gots it on my toro as of today. wanted to check out the screen record feature/app but cyanogen still says i dont have a device capable of running it lies
Running CM11 Nightly since 7 december.
Everything is working, its stable and smooth.
For my daily use it's ok.
Had only problems with auto-restore, solved with the right gapps package.
Try SlimKat
I tried the CM11 and wasn't impressed. Try the latest SlimKat Beta. I've been running SlimKat since their first Alpha release, and it has improved significantly over the past couple weeks. SlimKat Beta is updated to the latest Android 4.4.1 software which improved the camera's functionality. Only issue remains an occasional random reboot...maybe once per day, if that.

I've been running the nightlies since they became available and I've never had any problems. No reboots, graphic glitches etc.

Using the 1209 nightly, and the stability improved significantly compared to Euroskank's CM11 KitKang. That's all I can say, since performance stays largely the same.

I am running swordrune10's version for toro. I am having some trouble with the wifi switching, google backup/auto install apps on wipe and google play killing my battery but it runs great with art besides those issues.
I can say they work flawlessly. Huge improvement from 4.3, never had a crash / freeze, etc. It does lag a bit on received call, not a major issue for me though.
I've had wifi switching problems since 4.3 dropped. Its ok on CM11 but just barely
CM 11 nightlies since 12-6 have a major issues with LTE. Some users are either not getting it at all or having issues toggling between 3G and 4G in which 4G will not turn back on.
I have been using cm 11 since unofficial alphas and have had very minimal issues. I think the hand off issue fix was merged in the latest nightly as in the one you can flash tomorrow.

[Q] Bluetooth on Unoffical Liquid smooth

Does any one know if there's an issue with Bluetooth on the 2/3 build of the Unofficial Liquid Smooth? The processes crashes and resets every time my phone connects to car. the 1/18 build is the last one that worked for me.

I Have had no problems with bluetooth with the 1/18, 1/25, 2/3 or 2/5 builds . I have not tried the 2/6 build yet. Though I did dirty flash the 2/3 And 2/5 builds. Then when connecting to the car I found every there already

I loaded the unofficial nightlies from the forum [ROM][Unofficial] LiquidSmooth v3.0 (KitKat4.4.2) TORO This is a great active forum for the Galaxy nexus. The present on on page 1 of that forum is dated 2/6.
The 1/25 version is an official nightly found from the LiquidSmooth G+ community
Thanks for the reply. Every build after 1/18 crashes on me, even the 2/13 I dirty flashed yesterday. Every time I get on my car it connects, then resets. I've tried deleting and repairing my phone, I tried both dirtyv and mpokang kernels. And I've cleaned flashed a couple of builds, but still nothing.

Tried a clean flash if the latest build and still no go. Can't seem to figure out why the process keeps crashing. Even a Google search showed little information. Best I could find was this was an issue of some earlier version of 4.4 builds of various roms, but they all say they were fixed around mid January.
