Hi,
HTC droid incredible2 verizon doesn't go to fastboot mode when pressed vol- and power,it just boot up normally and shows "updating software from verizon wireless" and then restart again and stucks at red exclamation mark in middle of screen.
I thought the vol switch may me faulty so i changed it to no result. So i resurrected in riffbox first with only resurrection then with full options recovery and kernel, htc partitions, cid, imei without any errors but it still in the same condition.
PC doesn't detect in this state.
The user tried to factory reset from fastboot menu and ended up in this situation.
Any help regarding will be appreciated.

edit: I got it. I was stuck right after the unlock and could not get menu after going into the stock recovery. It appears that you have to push the power button just a fraction of a second before the Vol up/down. Or at least in my case that is what worked.
Trying to root this manually with an Ubuntu Linux box, adb and fastboot setup I got stuck. Not sure what is wrong. Any help is appreciated. This is what I did so far:
adb devices recognizes the phone
1- downloaded fastboot and cd to it in terminal (but don't really need it since it is already setup)
2- volume up and down and power to get to inital menu with locked state
3- fastboot oem unlock, chose yes and got the unlocked state
now I can't get to the menu for recovery to wipe data and factory reset. I pressed the volume down to get the recovery mode option and then power button, it flashed an android standing up (after the google and the lock screen) but quickly goes into the laying down android with a red triangle in it's tummy. Did I miss something?
phone won't boot up (bootloop). any help is appreciated
Not entirely sure why this has happened but im getting secure boot errors when:
1. I just turn the phone on.
2. Vol up + USB
3. Vol down + power button to get to factory reset.
After that it is the usual black screen with blue and red lights.
I cant use any button shortcuts to get anywhere, is there a way I can get the pc to recognise the device from this state?
I have the same problem. Like and idiot I deleted boot.img, aboot.img and recovery.img and then I realized that I didn't have the backup done. So I disconnected my device from the PC and nothing happened. Just turned off. The weirdest thing is the pc recognize my LG as a "LG Android USB Device". And I can't enter in download/fastboot mode
Any suggestion?
Sailing in the same boat, any help will be great, have a very expensive brick with "secure boot certification" error.

Let's refer to this other thread so we don't duplicate the same scenario:

Truly happened out of nowhere. I was running the Lollipop developers build (LP***9?) and right around the time the OTA was supposed to happen, my device bricked.
My device was rooted, bootloader unlocked. When attempting to boot normally, it is stuck on the Google logo. I can enter Fastboot mode by pressing Power + Vol Down, though the device never seems to be recognized by my computer (checked w/ adb devices command), so the Nexus Tool Rootkit is seemingly useless. When attempting to enter recovery, the Android robot is shown with an exclamation point. I really can't figure out where to go from here, and it's ultra frustrating because I feel like this happened on its own!
Any ideas?

If you're in the bootloader you need to use "fastboot devices" not "adb devices". Also, in recovery from the "dead android" hold the power button and tap VOL UP once to get the recovery options for factory reset, etc.
I have just got the same problem. I'm stuck at google logo, can't do much more except power + vol down
oh, this works perfectly well.

Hi, it's my first time posting here as I was unable to find a solution looking at similar threads.
Anyways, I was trying to install another ROM on the G4 but I think I messed up deleted everything entirely and got bootlop and reboot. I'm not exactly sure what I was doing as I'm new to these things.
What leads me to believe that this is not a hardware issue (as widely covered) is that during the bootloop, there's a tiny little green android in the middle of the screen with a small 3D box on belly.
When trying to solve this issue, I've tried:
Volume Up + Power to enter Download Mode
Nothing happens - back to the green droid
Volume Up + Power + USB to computer to enter Download Mode
Nothing happens - back to the green droid
Volume Up ONLY + USB to computer to enter Download Mode
Goes in Download Mode for a few seconds, but then goes back to the green droid
Volume Down + Power to enter Recovery Mode
Nothing happens - back to the green droid
Volume Down + Power to enter Hard Reset Mode
Allows me to factory reset, but then back to the green droid and bootloop
Connecting the G4 to the computer to see if phone would be available in device manager -
Not found
Nothing I've tried seems to shake off the little green android.
The phone doesn't connect to the computer at all.
Here's a video: youtu(dot)be/MfnkhZTPOz0
The top left of the G4 says "Bootloader State : Bootloader Unlocked!"
Here's a clearer image of the green android: android-hilfe(dot)de/attachments/2012-09-22-03-41-16-jpg.124036
Any suggestions?

From the thread you gave me it says 'YOU GET QHSUSB BULK MODE IN DEVICE MANAGER THEN INSTALL QUALCOMM DRIVER'.
But unfortunately, when I connect my G4 to the computer, it does not register 'QHSUSB_BULK'. In fact, it does nothing at all. The phone keeps rebooting and the computer does not detect.
So I cannot get either 'QUALCOMM HS-USB 9008' or 'QUALCOMM HS-USB 9006'.

Hi, yesterday a friend of mine gave me a nexus 5x with the bootloop of the dead issue, I charged the battery 100% and then started to play a little bit. I managed to get into recovery mode and tried a data/cache wipe, the issue was obviously still there, the thing is when I went to recovery mode, one of the options is "Apply Update from ADB". I went into that mode by mistake, withouth having the phone connected to the PC and now it won't start, not even with the Recovery mode command (voulme+power key). Is there a way to reactivate the recovery mode? The phone is unresponsive to any key combination. Thanks!
@nemesys660: to be sure, Power+VolUp doesn't work. Power+VolDown offers the base menu of bootloader. If you cannot start this way: does system boot (sometimes)?
