Recent app switcher - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Can anyone tell me how to edit recent app switcher on kitkat beanstalk rom.. ???:what:
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk

I'm not sure what you mean, you have to be a little more specific.
Are you trying to use a different App to do the same function as the app switcher? and are you referring to long-pressing the home button?

I don't have beanstalk installed to verify, but check in Settings > Buttons and Allow custom buttons - it might be moved to another location if beanstalk has a rom control in Settings.

I am asking that can anyone tell me how to change the recent app switcher into sense like or windows like app switcher...

Move or Remove Notification Bar Buttons?

Hey everyone,
I'm running Omega 6.1 on my Note 2 (n7100) and I love it. The only thing that bugs me a bit and can't seem to figure a way around it is the shortcuts in the notification bar. Is there a way to remove some of them that I never use (like the timeout or sync button) or move other buttons to the far left for immediate use (like the sound/vibrate function).
Anyone have any ideas?

Hello Guys,
I've just bought the N7100 and I would like also adjust the notification panel, but I cannot find this app "Quick Panel Settings", do you have some links, please?
Cheers
Nicolas

If you are using Omega rom you should have an app called AdvanceS.
Thanks for your help
I am using the stock rom, and I cannot adjust this panel as I want.
On my previous phone (nexus s) I used widgetoid app and it was great.
Here instead of remove this panel which seems impossible, I would like to adjust it.
Is it possible without installing another room?
Other then what you can do in setting there not much you can do. You can try to find the 25 toggle mod and flash it to your phone. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know how well rit works on a stock room or how easy it is to add to a stock rom as I have had problems in the past with a mod not working for my phone

I've finally installed the omega ROM, looks great, & I've found the "advanceS" apps, much more flexible than the Rom Stock.
But there is a way to add other toggles? (I like to see the RAM used, & the free space...)
Thanks
Nicolas

[Q] AOKP Notification Background

Hi, I'm running the latest stable release of AOKP, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to remove a custom image in the notification background? I set it to an image and I want my transparent background back. Thanks!
Eli
Most likely it would be in ROM control or something. Yea ROM control>general ui

Yeah, but there's no option to remove the background. Am I missing something?
Not sure about the gs3 rom but when I had aokp on my captivate I had the same issue. It let's you set a custom one but won't let you remove the custom one. I ended up grabbing a solid black background and using that as a custom one. Or try reflashing the rom. It would be nice to have an option to remove it and set it back to default.
Mind you it could be different on the gs3, I'm basing this off of the captivate version aokp jb milestone 1.

When you're on the general UI menu under ROM Control, tap the menu button and the option should be there to remove custom notification background.

Customization of pulldown power control bar

Hello,
I have a stock firmware from samsung, android 4.0.4 with apex launcher. Is there any way to customize the power control bar as It is possible witm CM? I know that there are power widgets, but those apps are adding another notification, and it is not entirely what I'm looking for.
Regards

The only way I was able to do it was by installing Dman's Deodex ROM UCLJ3, then installing the 14 toggle mod.
If your rom is not deodex you can't install the toggles mod. This should be what you're looking for.
And this brought up yet another question, can I deodex my current firmware? Without reflashing my device.

Looking for some Mods, please help

hey
i'm running archidroid aosp rom based on CM10.1 (4.2.2)
and i'm looking for some mods that i couldn't find in search.
*An edited secphone that included Call recording for 4.2.2 ?
*A mod for adding that button during a call that increases sound volume (can't remember the mod name, something to do with secphone also no?)
* Uninstalling apps directly from app drawer. currently i'm long pressing an app (not a system app), and automatically it goes to 'desktop' with option
to put it there, or in the top of the page i have "app details" or "cancel".
in my previous rom, whenever i long pressed an app in app drawer, all the icons became "shaking" with a red X on top of them to easy uninstall.
that's what i'm looking for
anyone can help?
I'll be grateful.
:good:
All the mods you asked for are Samsung touchwiz mods and will not work on aosp ROMs.
Edit: you may find another launcher that would allow you to uninstall apps from the app drawer.

Try one of the call recording apps from the store.
Although, in my experience, they can be buggy with aosp...

Halo/PIE/Torch possible on sense?

Hey all, it's my understanding that Halo and PIE are built to work on AOSP based roms. I would love to go back to the stability and bonus features of sense, but having to have the menu button eyesore at the bottom of most apps is a deal-breaker. Is there any possibility of getting these addons working on a sense based rom? If not, are there any apps with similar features that can be used with sense?
I would also like to add a torch option on the quick settings menu if that could be done. I realize I can download a flashlight app, but I have been spoiled with having quick access to it on iOS 7 and AOSP.
Flash bonestock. It has a torch toggle, and also go to settings, display, and check "longpress home for menu"

Floating Notifications is an app that is as close as you can get to Halo. There is a free trial period for about 30 days.
As far as pie control, I think there is a launcher called LMT Launcher in the play store that has a pie-like fixture.

LMT launcher works, but it's not in the play store. it's on XDA though. just search for it.
pie control (which is in the play store) works as well, just not as neat as LMT.
sometimes, though, with LMT, it takes a few tries to get an app to start. it's annoying. if pie control showed the time and other notifications like LMT does, it'd be so much better.
Both of these look good. Do they allow you to disable the stock menu button?

My bad. It know it was included in a rom I was using at some point (can't remember which one) and it had been floating around in my TiB for a while now. I assumed it was available in play store as well.

Do you mean the three dots button? You can install a custom rom to do that or xposed has several modules that let you do that. Try Sense 5 Toolbox module.

there are no 3 dots on bottom of screen on my ROM.
technically yes, they can be ported, for example IHTFP69 ported HALO to TW on Samsung. No one said it could be done, he is a genius.
Try my ROM out, if you don't like it, try another.

I just finished downloading your rom and making a nandroid backup. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks for all the suggestions! I've been trying to hold off until 4.3 but with the recent delay it's just not worth waiting anymore.

Thanks man, hope you like it!
It will be at least another month maybe 2 before we see 4.3
Replying here instead of in your thread in case anyone else is searching for this answer.
I am loving the rom so far, but I have two questions. The menu bar is gone almost everywhere, but it's still present in dolphin browser. Is there any way to fix that? It doesn't show at all on AOSP. LMT launcher is every bit as good as pie and the menu button being there prevents it from working properly.
I also don't seem to have a torch/flashlight widget in the quick settings. There is an app though which I can make work for me if there's no way to get it in quick settings. Just a minor personal preference.
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I got the menu bar removed by changing a setting under display and gestures. It has the unfortunate side effect of making a long press on the home key open the menu as well, but it's still better than the always-present menu button.
