Hey guys,
i have a request to you. Is someone able to tell me how to port Roms to LG G2 D802 ?
Or do you know some good tutorials about that subject ?
In some days there will be a Rom named BAM ROM. In the past it was called JELLYBAM and i have it on my i9100. And it was one of the best Roms I've ever had. It very similar to PAC-MAN Rom. It's based on CM10/11 now. The new release will be based on CM11/Kitkat 4.4.2.
So i've looked at the supported device list and I've only found the LG G2 D800 Model. But i have a D802. So as you can guess the most hard parts a done by the Bam Team.
Now i Would like to know how to make a d800 rom working with d802 .
Not to jack this but where r u finding 4.4.2 probam d800 ROMs. Looked on their site and nothing

not Probam. BAMROM. In the past it was called JELLYBAM.
here the fan/info page -> https://www.facebook.com/BAMRom
and here the support list -> http://bam-android.com/forum/bam-rom...ported-devices
I don't think XDA will allow anything from that group to be posted. They've been banned for kanging I think.

Yes. Xda has banned them because they keep their sources private.
This doesn't belong in the development section.

I wonder to have MIUI on E975!
Indeed I wonder to have MIUI on LG G E975. It's infact very strange that still doesn't exist, and that nobody tried to port it.
Let's immagine that the very old LG P500 Optimus One, 640x320 pix, 512 ram and 729mhz cpu, with latest stock Android of just 2.3.5, have a huge choice of roms.
MIUI 2.3.7
MIUI V4 on ICS and on JB, ICS veru stable.
CM 10.1 with Android 4.2.2
CM 7 and 9 very very fast and stable
I really not figue out why this amazing G is still left so alone ...

I'm guessing you haven't even bothered to try to scan the thread titles in the various development forums here. There are more ROMs available for the LGOG variants than you can shake a stick at:
CM 10.1
Carbon
RootBox
Xylon
LiquidSmooth
AOKP
Avatar
ThinkingBridge
variations on stock
And probably a bunch more that I haven't listed as I tend to ignore the E975-based ones as I have an E971.
IOW, we have more ROMs available for the LGOG than the P-whatever you're going on about.
phoenix_rizzen, you are right, but I do have bothered to scan all the threads ...
I, for sure, express in a wrong way... when I wrote; "still left so alone". I wound say: "still left so alone from Xiaomi developers and/or MIUI lovers developers (to try to port it) ...
Sorry for that. I'll pay more attenction.
I am very MIUI oriented, so I think is a mess not to have even just one porting of it.
I recognize LG G have many roms, and I am subsribed to some of their threads in order to follow the future development.
About the P500, it have many MIUI unofficial portings. 5 or 6!|
I really not figue out why this amazing G is still left without official MIUI, but even with any MIUI unofficial portings...
That's it.
Try Avatar Rom, it's the closest you can get to MIUI for this device.pretty nifty too.
In korean naver cafe, there is a miui rom!

Il'' try Avatar for sure. I'm folloing the thread also, but ...
But I'm still chosing my new phone evaluating the modding possibilities.
I still do not own this wonderful G!! I'd prefer better phones MIUI compatibile just because I am accustomed to it. For that I am uncertain if doing an ecception or not.
Miui V5
I found this topic on AT&T version

we must wait, in some month we have thousands of ROMs
I like MIUI and i hope we became it

We love it and are grateful regardless of where it got posted.
I feel if a rom is just getting compiled from source from sync'd repos.. its not original development.
if you are creating patches and adding your own code... its original development.
As a user who is constantly switching between AOSP and stock-based roms on whatever phone I happen to be using, it would be super convenient if more XDA forums just got rid of the distinction entirely and put all roms for a given device together in the same location. I can see why devs might prefer the current setup though.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
I have always thought that if you create a 'type' of ROM from the ground up, that is original development. Just the act of syncing and compiling doesn't make it original, even if it is to the recipients. I sync, compile and add and subtract things to my builds, but they were still originally created by another. Just my penny and a half.....

Not sure if this is the right section however, I just recently successfully build Paranoid Android with Halo for my GS3 [I am the official Maintainer for gs3 us variant tmobile looking to be official Maintainer for gs4 tmo]. Now I decided to go ahead and compile one for GS4 with ease it did compile with xxhdpi support.
I am looking for about 7 testers to see if this compile is working for people, then I can go on and make a official Thread in development section. Just PM me if your interested

No Longer supported:
Hi again,
A quick port from the e975. Not built from source.
Original Thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2339403
Kernel is dvhexer's alternate kernel. But you can definitely bring your own kernel.
This build is JLS, so careful when flashing kernels.
Now, since this is a port, I cannot change the source, That means I can't debug it. I can, but only up to a point. (user-debug only).
When the original thread updates, if someone wants it, I'll update the port. At one point, if it becomes real good, I might build from source. Or not.
Enjoy!!

Got bugs, but they are already mentioned in the original thread.... Can't do anything about that. But yeah, it's pretty nice.
So just curious, the port thread you referenced is for porting ROM's to the E970. What did you do different to port it to the E973?

CyanogenMod will support the LG G3. All ROMs start out as unofficial but become official as dedicated maintainers come on board. This is done over time and not immediate. Meanwhile, we have a community of great developers already here to support us. invisiblek, a well-known maintainer is already working on CM12 for the G3. There is already a device tree for it. All we need to do is wait.
Does it matter if its official or not? We still have cm. Like?? Lol that's like saying we don't have lollipop for the g3 already.
