Desire wont boot, charching LED ok - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
My HTC Desire Wont boot up any more. It's not the typical suck on HTC screen or anything. It neither does it responds to the on/off button by booting up or vibrating nor does the screen go on.
The orange charging LED lights up If stuck on a charger and even turns green after a couple of hours indicating it's fully charged. The LED turns off after pressing the on/off button but it still plays dead. The charging LED wont turn on if you try it plug in the charger again only after you pull the battery out.
I don't know what to do anymore. Can you please help me?
It's S-Off with a custom ROM on it and custom recovery.

P3300 dead ?

I was upgrading my P3300 with WM6 through RUU with an official ROM and at 9% it gives me a connection problem.
I followed the recovery instructions as instruction by the RUU and at step 3/4 (when i have to turn on the PDA again) the PDA does not want to turn on.
Screen remains black, i tried to use the bootloader by pressing sound recorder and reset buttons to go to bootloader screen (red, green, blue) but no success.
I dont' want to believe it but is my PDA dead ?
Can someone help me ?
Hey dude,
Calm down.. don't worry..
Checked your Battery Status?
When you pressed Reset Button, "Green" & "Red" key blinks for a second? or totally back out?
Nothing happend, green and red buttons does not blink at all.
The phone is still off, and can't be turned on. Also when i plug the AC-Adapter on the phone, the battery led does not light on as usual.
Does this means that the battery is not working ?
hey guys, can someone help me PLZ

Htc desire died :( please help

Hi guys, first sorry for my bad english, I'm italian
So... i've an 11 days old HTC desire, i'ven't flashed it with unoffial roms, never done strange things with it but now, it doesn't want to works.
The only operations i made with my htc are:
1 official firmware update (yesterday),
2 apps download from market...
the phone was on before i found it off without any reason...
Never dropped, never beaten, i don't know why it doesn't works
Please can you help me?
now i've leaved battery from phone,
could be the protection for overheating on?
Take out the battery and plug the mains charger in, see if the LED shows.
Yes led shows without battery, orange and green...
So the phone works, what exactly is the problem?
i can't turn on the phone, if i try to press power on button it doesn't works...the screen doesn't turn on... if i put battery in and i try to charge the phone no leds are shown... leds appairs only with removed battery...
Try turning on the phone while the battery is out but it's plugged in at the mains. The phone seems fine as it has already shown that the LED's turn on.
Try wiping the plates on the side of the battery with a fabric of some sort and see if that helps.
i've yet tried the first options, doesn't works...
i'll try the second now...
cannot be an overheating protection problem?
Ok guys, my htc has started, but now it stays stucked on HTC green boot logo...
Edit: HTC doesn't start again, ill try to leave battery for a while again than restart...
If its stuck on the green HTC logo then your phone is stuck in a boot loop. Are you sure you haven't done anything with your phone?

only the official update and installed some apps.... i've read that an hard reset maybe help me... hoe to perform it? I've to wait about 2 hours to restart the phone...
Please anyone can help me to make an hard reset on desire?
Try turning on the Desire with the volume down button pressed and then press the power at the same time. Should load the bootloader menu, give it a second or two and scroll down to clear storage by pressing volume down, then to select it, press the power button.

I need to hold power button? or press and release it?
With the 'volume down' button held, press and release the power button.

HTC Desire does not boot at all

Hi everyone. I would really appreciate some help with my HTC Desire.
I recently rooted my phone using unrevoked3 and flashed Leedroid's froyo rom v2.3d using rom manager. Everything worked fine for about a week until the phone hung up and would not respond to any button, even when I tried turning it off. I took out the battery and now it won't boot up at all, not even to the HTC screen and does not vibrate when I press the power button either.
I can't boot into recovery mode either so I can't reset/flash to a previous image.
The amber light turns on when I connect the charger, however. And when I press the power button when connected, the amber light goes off. Other than that, there is no response.
Please help! Thanks in advance.
PS - I am using the unbranded (WWE) version from UK. Using with T-mobile in US.
usually when this happens you get no charge light, no charge light is an indication of complete brick/hardware/hboot problem
yours is different, im wondering if your battery circuit is fried
has this ever been in contact with fluids?
no, no water contact. thanks for replying

Weird problem after replacing screen

Hey all,
I just helped a friend change the screen of his Desire 816. The old screen was badly damaged and we got a LCD and digitizer combo and I changed it successfully, or so I thought. When its off and I connect it to its charger, It lights up and displays the HTC logo, followed by the battery charging animation. All looks OK.
Then I press the power button. The screen goes off, phone vibrates and switches on BUT THE SCREEN STAYS OFF. I can tell the phone boots because the HTC boot sound plays and the phone vibrates a little after from some notification or other and my PC recognises the phone normally. But I can't use the screen at all. I have to do a battery pull to switch off the phone or wait till the battery runs out. And when I connect the charger again while its off.... HTC logo...
I'm so frustrated right now. My friend isn't saying anything but he's not happy. I'm hoping there's something I forgot to do or something. Can anyone help me, please?
Anyone? Please?....
