It works great, but only shows 3G for AT&T, no 4G as it shows when it's on T-Mobile sort of 3G/4G network..
Actually quite honestly, I don't see much difference in 4G/3G difference is there when we go to LTE

Unlocking the LTE

I am kinda surprised this has been brought up. SHould we start a fund to reward the first one to break the LTE software lock on the T889?
Please and thanks.

Why?
There's no use for LTE yet unless you want to unlock it and use it on AT&T
the same reason why people unlocked the A&T i717 to get the AWS available so they can use the device with any provider. That's why. Pretty straight up.

*actually*
T-Mobile has two LTE towers in my area
(South of Atlanta, near the airport.)
So, odds are, they have other LTE towers in other areas.
My credible source also told me that T-Mo's LTE towers are fiber-optic based, as opposed to Verizon and At&T's copper-based LTE towers.
=D

Will New T-Mobile Galaxy SIII LTE Be able to use LTE on 4G $30

I was doing some research and saw that Tmobile is releasing an lte enabled s3 and I was wondering if it would be able to be used on the $30 4g plan. I was also wondering if that phone would still be capable of using hspa+ if it has an LTE radio. If any of you guys could help I would really appreciate it. Thanks
The T999L will be backwards compatible from LTE to HSDPA+. TMO is going to call it daul 4G.. So 4G on HSDPA+ and 4G LTE..
Dont know about the rate plans.
Thanks

The latest update removed the lte functions from the phone, so thats why they did that to charge more money for it!

Unlocked AT&t GS3??

Just was wondering if an Unlocked AT&T samsung galaxy s3 would work on T-mobile?? I think it would as the frequency's are the same. Also would AT&T samsung galaxy s3 get t-mobile LTE???
Sounds like a dumb question. What I'm asking: would at&t GS3 work on t-mobile LTE as the frequency's look the same?? Of course if I have T-Mobile LTE in my area. And also the AT&T GS3 is unlocked but, It was AT&T with LTE 700MHZ,1700MHZ and 2100MHZ.
Thanks

If you're in a T-Mobile refarmed area (1900Mhz), then you will get HSPA+ with an unlocked AT&T S3. Also, if I remember correctly, T-Mobile LTE uses Band 4, the same band as AT&T. So if there is LTE coverage in your area, you should get LTE connection, provided your APNs are set correctly.

No tmobile lte. Bands aren't supported. But you should still get service. At least HSDPA I believe.

NO its not about having LTE its about which band the phone supports and if your area supports the same band. The Korean phone does not support the T-Mobile bands.

Ask you T-Mobile related questions here: http://support.t-mobile.com/message/283148
I posted asking about the ATT version but you can see in T-Mobile's reply is shows what bands they do/don't support. Hope this helps.
