It is likely to be a high framerate. You can use Handbrake to lower the quality....
Remember, your phone can only run at upto 1000-1200Mhz whereas your desktop is likely to be 2000+MHz.

Use H/W decoder instead of H/W+ or S/W.

The MXPlayer can't play the video with hardware decoder, only software.
What's handbrake?

Handbrake is software to convert video files.

It should be able to. If you can't, you may not have the correct version of MX Player for your Note2. Read the help option or go here https://sites.google.com/site/mxvpen/
Read about different hardware compatibility and the available codecs.

Well, there was a Netflix apk floating around (search is your friend) from the Droid Razr, however the app doesn't seem to play nice with 4.0.3+ at the moment. If you are running a 4.0.2 rom or lower, you can use that. Otherwise, we have to wait for someone to mod the HD apk to work with 4.0.3+ ROMs or for Netflix to update their own app. Also, the Droid RAZR apk doesn't go full screen either.
Netflix doesn't seem very high definition even when streamed over wifi on my laptop or monitor. You're not missing much.

Because some of us have unlimited data plans still, and IMHO HD videos on this phone actually DO look really solid, depending on the source of course. Then again, I'm also just a huge show off
i'm not sure what you mean, mattskeet. watching youtube on HD vs SD is apples and oranges on the nexus. I could happily watch a 90 minute HD movie on nexus screen
Netflix and gameloft have crappy methods of showing support rather then just throwing the APK out there in the market.

Netflix has the potential to have great image quality. My Apple TVs and PS3s allow for 1080p video and 5.1 audio.
Netflix only allows HD on devices with locked boot loaders afaik. Nook tablet has HD as well.

netflix's hd quality is amazing on my computer too, if its bad quality its cause the connection is too slow. you need about 15-20mb/s to get the best quality.
is there any update on this? just saw the new netflix on the play store but it still doesnt have 702p. does the hacked apk work for 4.0.3 or 4.0.4 yet?

That is not true, there is zero difference in Netflix quality on a GN with a locked bootloader vs. and unlocked one.

This is also not true, you don't need anywhere near that bandwidth to get great quality.
You need 8Mbps for 1080p video with 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus audio.
Regardless, I get 25Mbps on my home connection and my phone, Apple TV, and PS3s are all connected to the same network, so that rules out network conditions.
I remember reading somewhere that it is a software limitation and the Razr got a special version to showcase the HDMI 720p streaming out on the device.
When I had my RAZR HD Netflix looked amazing. You can see so many details especially facial details. Skintone, facial stubble etc. Would be nice to have on the Nexus since it has a HD display. GG unlimited data .
Just wondering if there are any games that take full advantage of the quad core chip and Mali GPU?

Games like Nova 3 are heavy gpu eaters but it isnt optimized for quad core cpu's for that well have to wait till such game comes out. As in my opinion cpu doesnt have much effect on gaming performance

Don't bet your head on this one.The S2 plays Tegra 3 games(All I've tried and worked) without sweating too much without even the need to be overclocked.I don't see the reason why they would be hard to play for the S3.Games like NOVA 3 do tax the system too much.I think Gameloft's games aren't as well coded as Dead Trigger for example though.
Anyway,if you want to use the full power of the S3,wait some months until Gameloft releases a game with the Unity Engine they teased the other day.I think that will be worth talking about.

Asphalt 7
The new gameloft games Nova 3 and Asphalt 7 actually look really impressive with all the motion blur effects and stuff. Who needs a ps vita^^ But my SGSIII gets really hot when i play them for a longer time, makes me feel a little uncomfortable Altough i never run into any freezes or anything so far...
I tried GTA 3 and it looks amazing with all graphics settings turned up to their highest. Resolution all the way up and Frame Limiter turned off.

Why note 8 don't record in 1080p ?
Sent from my GT-N5110 using xda app-developers app
I was told because of the lack of storage capacity. The gtn8 only has 9gbs avaliable before you even add anything to it and it doesn't write it to the sd card

but we have external sd so i don't think that is this the problem and i have seen also nexus 7 2 record 1080p video and it have only 12 gb without external sd.

Just want to add that the Note 8.0 i have writes images and video to my SDCard, camera-app even asked if i wanted to save to SDcard when i started it.
Guess the guy at the Samsung counter in Best Buy was wrong. I haven't tried it myself.
I Was just going off what they told me there When I asked. Though it's not surprising as I knew more about the note 8 than he did.

But the processing power of the Note Eight is clearly sufficient to record 1080p Videos because my Nexus 7 2012 is able to play [email protected] Video recorded with a Note 3. And the Note 8 has as much processing power as the Galaxy Note 2, which is pretty much sufficient for [email protected] recording. My Note 3 is also able to play [email protected] and [email protected] recorded from a 6s. I wonder why Samsung hasn't enabled it to record in that Framerate.

It doesn't have a flash either, and it's likely because it's a tablet, and most people don't use their tablets for photos or videos. It would be a useless feature for the vast majority of Note 8 owners. Most companies and likely Apple as well, treat the camera on their tablets as an afterthought.
It'd be cool if it did! ?
Anyone here have a Samsung SmartTv and use their note with it?

Chances are this particular model will not let you use AllShareCast (Wi-Di, Miracast, whateveryouwannacallit) with your Samsung device (I believe this model only lets you connect to the internet for their pre-loaded apps like Netflix; thus making it a so-called "Smart TV"). From what I know, Samsung only has the F series above the 7000 model (not FH) as their Wi-Di line (as stated earlier by someone). FH is probably their super affordable, bare-bones-super-cheap-so-they-can-sell-it-on-black-Friday-and-you-will-never-see-this-model-again-unless-it-is-out-of-Ebay-or-some-dude's-van model.

Well that sucks. Cause its a black Friday model you cannot get a manual to look over prior and see what all it can do.
Not being able to hook my phone to it is not the end of the world. That would be just a bonus.
I'm more concerned with being able to stream my movies from my pc to the tv.. Ps3 can do it but doesn't like movies obtained from the Internet lol

I got it...That TV wasn't on their website last friday.
I have the UN40f5500 and Note 2 Running the New DN3 ROM (Note 3) and been testing out the ROM. So far all features are working on Both TV and Phone. SkyNote. Mirror wouldn't for me. My opinion is I'll probably never buy anything but a Samsung phone and TV for some time.
As stated above their is so many awsome thing they do hand in hand. Almost to the point that one won't need a pc unless your a DEV.
I would/ have recomended to friends and family.
PURE SWEETNESS
Got the tv and love it.. But TouchWiz is getting a bit old and laggy. Thinking of switching back to an aosp rom.
L What's the best alternative for allshare on a non TW rom? Mainy just to view photos and videos. Streaming YouTube from my note2 to the TV would be a plus but not needed.
