Is there any easy way to remove unwanted TMo ops from a rooted/4.3 S4?
I don't want to de-stabilize the OS (by uninstalling apks). Any script/zip if exists will be really helpful.

I'm making a new rom, so what apps do you prefer to be included in a rom?
thanks

Root uninstaller app, Launcher PRO
(all of these are freeware)

I agree all of them are good, buit dont fill the rom up with apps but Titanium backup, rom manager and some kind of file explorer would be very handy.
Just a tip, i think this thread is more 'general' than development
The best launcher is Sense Ui lancher. Fastest of all

Hm, true...
In which case:
ES file explorer as the file explorer, Super Manager as the root explorer, LP as the launcher.

PLEASE MODS, MOVE TO GENERAL
Zeam Launcher, delete any other launcher! MUST DELETE NOW!!!
AdFree
SD-Booster
SetCPU
and also, make sure its based on 2.3.4
I think devs aren't allowed to include SetCPU in roms, because it's a paid app...

yeah!
I believe there's a same question thread is going on or it's a similar one.
But I'll answer you:
3G Watchdog and APNDroid.
Ghost Commander.
AdFree Android, Busybox, Rom Manager and Titanium Backup
Voice Search.
Updated versions of Google/HTC apps.
Live Wallpapers.
Flash 10.3 (I don't know if its possible) and Air.
Flash and air dont support arm v6 but flash lite from the stock roms wouldnt hurt

the problem with flash player is that it is very big and it is laggy on our wildfires, if you want to install, I found this guide:

Installing flash. If it will harm my phone I won't do, if it will harm my current ROM I will take a Titanium Backup. So do you think its harmful?
It's not harmful per se, but, its totally pointless.
I think Launcher Pro is the best launcher!
Things to be included in a rom that I could use:
- Sense dialer/contacts/friendstream
- Flash lite
- DSP Manager
- OC kernel
- JIT enabled
- batt for at least 48h
All other things doesnt matter, since you can install in any rom.
Looking for a rom that is ALL stock but No ATT stuff. i dont mind the samsung stuff, but if it was gone that would be great also. i just need a great stable rom. any one make a recommendation? thank you
Any ROM that advertises "Stock and Debloated", a la "Diet ICS"

Exactly what you want.
perfect. gonnna try that. thank you
Or run NostalgiaTurboSlim script (in my sig). It removes all nonessential apps.
Or just disable the AT&T apps and forget about rooting and ROMs. It's built-in to ICS.
Disable not the same as un-install. That will remove them from the apps list, and un install any updates.

I'm using wanam's rom and it is great. It has a couple of the ATT and Samsung apps but gets rid of most of the offenders.

Titanium Backup

NoBloat from the Market
It creates backups (if you want) und you can save the selected apps as a list and everytime you reflash a new rom, NoBloat detects these apps and you can instantly delete these marked apps with one click
It's a bit easier than Titanium Backup.

ES File Explorer is a great app too. You can simply uninstall system apks.
Just a little screenshot to prove my word. (It's in french)
.
+1 on Titanium Backup and ES File Explorer.
SystemCleanup is a perfect choice for this

hi,
Any kind and helpful master here who willing to list down all the bloatwares together with theirs function and whether safe to disable or not..
I will very appreciate your help...
Thanks
There is a stickied thread on App & Themes section on which applications are safe to remove and an included description. Also, there is a script called ROM Cleaner which I use every flash which removes all unwanted bloat.

<yep, another thing is to flash a different rom that has AROMA installer so you can choose what to install before flashing, one of the most famous is the OMEGA series which are very good and based on samsung stock
So I just rooted my Nexus 7. I am not interested in changing the ROM, unless I really should, since I really like the Stock ROM. What are some good things to do while rooted?
A side note: I called Google before I did the procedure and they said unlocking the bootloader would not void the warranty. So, that is interesting.
... now you search and find cool things to do with your rooted tablet.
I'll toss you a breadcrumb though- Xposed. The rest is up to you.

Second that - once you've fiddled with a decent number of Xposed mods, there is no turning back  :good:
I'll toss you three other subjects related to Xposed - MoDaCo, GravityBox and App Settings You'll come a long way with those!
Also, the first things I install after updating firmware are ROM Toolbox, Root Explorer and Xposed. Then you can do anything!

Run Linux on it in a chroot ?
Do some hacking to see how the device works
Install busybox once you rooted, if the root process did not install it.
I have a version of busybox (1.21.1) compiled using the android-ndk
As some of the google search pages do not tell you, that if you don't use the ndk it breaks busybox's wget, traceroute, ping etc.
I know their are apps to install busybox, but they want a "donation" which usually I don't mind doing, but not for something I can compile on my own.
