wow...I am a newbie, man. SOrry!!! How do I boot into the stock recovery
I've tried to install back MIUI or even the original android version (both in a zip file) from the SD card inside the phone after I hold VOLUME UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER (then I a choose "update from SD card").. Is that stock recovery?? If "yes", when I tried to make the installation thru this way, my phone replied the following error message "E: signature verification failed".
Don't install yet. Clear everything first then boot. If all goes well go ahead with the update.

Resolved
Hello everybody! I've resolved this all by myself.
Using Odin, I installed to my phone a non-official Android Jelly Bean OS (catched on the MIUI official website offered as a "backup"). After that I could install the original Android version for my phone with no problems at all.
My phone's working perfect right now.
Special thank's to betoishly and masterprotocol0097!!!

Hey,
I recently bought this phone Huawei U8500, and I had a long search on the net where can I get a working recovery, finally I found a modified clockworkmod recovery.
It seems that this phone is highly unpopular.
I just wanted to share my finding.
Here you can download this modified version: Download
Steps to install recovery:
1. Download the clockworkmod
2. Unrar it somewhere on your computer
3. Turn off your phone
4. Press & Hold volume down key + call end (red) key and then press power key.
5. Launch the .bat file on your computer + connect your phone via USB
6. When it's finished, take out the battery and wait 5 seconds before putting it back in
7. Then you can access the recovery by holding volume up key + call(green) key
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One thing I can recommend If your phones android build version doesn't end with "712", I suggest you to update it to the beta release, you'll have more functional dual-touch.
Here is the beta froyo update: Download
To install it:
1. Unrar it to your computer, and find a folder named "dload" with the biggest size.
2. Copy that "dload" filder to root of your SD card
3. turn off phone
4. Hold volume up key + end call (red) key and the press power key. Wait for it to load, it will say something like "Updating system" Wait for it to finish, if it says fail, just try again
5. After it says "Update complete" or "Update successful" just restart your phone and you'll have the new beta firmware.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the Russian site I found some unofficial ROM's too.
I haven't tried them yes but if someone is willing here you can download them:
Firmware 2.2 29.01.2011 by Pavlo78
u8500_mao_rls7b2
u8500_mao_rls7++by_march_2
u8500_mao_rls8_by_march
u8500_mao_rls8_by_march
To install one of these ROM's do the following:
1. Copy the ZIP file on root of your SD card, the ZIP file, not RAR.
2. Boot up your phone in recovery mode (by holding volume up key + call(green) key)
3. With your optical trackpad select "Install zip from sd card"
4. From the list choose your ZIP file
5. And then just wait till the installation is complete and then just restart the phone!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I highly recommend you to back up the original firmware before installing new ROM's
You can do that in recovery mode, just click on nandroid and follow the on screen instructions it will backup your current firmware + your currently installed apps.
I'm not responsible for bricking your phone, if something doesn't go well. By doing the things I wrote, you may void your phones warranty.
Don't forget to thank me
Kind regards

Bro, may i have to wipe all data via recovery like slash, cache and dalvik cache before i install froyo beta?
This is really helpful...a lot of Bangladeshis will be needing this. Telenor just launched this phone here.

hey im thinking bout buying this phone as i live in bangladesh... can anyone confirm me about the froyo upgrade does it work???
I did download the beta firmware.
And updated the phone's firmware a few minutes ago.
I have the dual touch now, yay (and a little better keyboard).
Many thanks from a Droid noob.
This should be enough for all your stock rom needs.

BTW: If you install the clockwordmod, you will lose the GP stock bootup screen (not the boot animation). So if you are going to claim warranty make sure you flash the GP firmware before you go to the GP centre.
Someone was asking how this phone is...the only issue I have is knowing that I'll never have flash on this thanks to the arm6 processor.

There is a thread in the port section of the Cyanogenmod forum. It started with a lame question but later a lot was discussed about gingerbread 2.3.4. There is a Chinese developer (Slax) who has been working on the rom. However, this rom does have a few issues.
I don't know Chinese and google translate is incomprehensible. You should be able to find all the links needed in the cyanogenmod forum.
here is the link.

for froyo try trial and error with all the official roms. if you don't like one change it. eventually you will find one that meets your need.

Dear bro,

Thanks in advance.
Hello XCoder, and all!
I try this steps, but i stopped after 4th step...
I get a boot logo, and the XP can't recognize droid, unknown device.
than the .bat file just wait for connection.
i try lot of drivers (original U8500, Original Android, and the SDK's driver too) and still "unknown Andoid device"
If i get out battery, take back, and standard Power On, the XP recognize the "Android Composite ADB" device, and bind the SD card, and CDROM image, and works perfectly.
but i can't upgrade in Standard Mode
can anyone have an idea, how i can access the Droid under Recovery Mode?
and all links of huaweidevice.com are unavailable
have new link?

I have same problem here
I broke the digitizer on my note 2, completely destroying any chance of ever being able to view the screen again. Also, I never set up my note II in android device manager to be able to erase it. I bought a new phone, have no desire to put a new digitizer in this phone, and want to sell it. What are my options?
Samsung dive you tried?
Unfortunately I didn't set up Samsung Dive on my phone either.
You could flash your existing rom (if you know which one you had) through odin.
Only thing you have to do 'blind' is bring device in download mode (with device off...volume down/home/power...wait a bit...volume up....hook to your computer and odin suppose to say 'added').
If you don't know which rom was on it, search sammobile for the latest one and flash it as described...make sure it is a full wipe rom (otherwise your data will stay). I think the roms on sammobile that have the orange Kies symbol next to it are non wipe, the ones with grayed Kies symbol are full wipe, but don't shoot me for that
Another solution to be sure of a full wipe rom is to find a similar one here on the forums and ask in the specific thread.
The phone wasn't flashed...
For 'flashing' a rom through Odin your device would not have to be flashed in the first place.
Flashing in this case just means putting the original firmware back on it.
If you don't know which firmware was on your device give Sammobile a try to find the latest firmware.
Sorry, I meant the phone was never even rooted...

In the following link at post 6 you can find emergency factory reset firmwares which also reset your SD card personal information etc. Unfortunately the links was at hotfile which is not working anymore, but I saw at same thread some users have uploaded them to other servers search the thread starting from last post to first and u will find the links. The thread has installation instructions via odin. After installing browse your SD card via pc at android/data to see if any data of your installed application exist, if not and are only the applications which coming with phone means that your phone reseted successfully
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1915386
For flashing via pc odin you have to go blind as nirak wrote to u earlier for entering at download mode. Follow his instructions to enter download mode and after the instructions of the thread I gave u. Also u have to install first Samsung kies software for the drivers and after to enter at task manager at your pc and terminate all the processes of kies, 4 processes if I remember well because kies don't allows to flash via odin. You need it only for the drivers.

Hi,
This is my first post here on the XDA forum so if I make any mistakes, please do tell.
So, I got a Galaxy Ace 2 (I8160) which was running unrooted and stock at Android 2.3.6 (if I recall correctly).
I decided I wanted the phone to run at a newer Android version (KitKat preferred), so I decided to look into Cyanogenmod 11.0.
I succesfully installed the Clockworkmod Recovery after soms attempts and after that I was able to install Cyanogenmod 11.0 running on Android 4.4.4.
My first impression was positive, until I noticed I regularly got some error messages about com.android.phone which stopped working.
On top of this, the phone had no service and I was unable to make any calls (also selecting a service provider made com.android.phone crash).
After a lot of looking around on the internet, I found out this could be caused because I flashed Cyanogenmod 11.0 directly from Android 2.3.6.
On another tutorial I read I should've flashed Cyanogenmod 11.0 from any Jellybean version but as I stated earlier, I flashed it from a Gingerbread version.
On another forum I found someone who used to have the same issue and stated that he made the same mistake as I did (flashing from a non-Jellybean version).
He said he flashed a stock Jellybean ROM to his phone, installed Clockworkmod Recovery and at last flashed Cyanogenmod again and everything seemed to be working just fine.
I decided to do the same and flashed a stock Jellybean ROM for the I8160 using Odin v3.07.
After Odin told me the flash process passed, the phone rebooted but was stuck at the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 logo.
When trying to get into the recovery, I got the same problem and the only thing I saw was the startup logo.
If I'd turn off the phone and plug in to my computer (which normally shows the battery percentage) it'd be stuck at the loading icon (normally this loading icon is visible for about 5 seconds and after that the battery percentage is visible).
I'm still able to get into download mode, so I tried reflashing the same ROM but unfortunately without success.
I used the following stock ROM: samsung-updates.com/details/28857/Galaxy_Ace_2/GT-I8160/XEN/I8160XXNB1.html.
I've been using the Cyanogenmod 11.0 and GApps files from: maclaw.pl/downloads/.
Does anybody have any idea about how I coud fix this?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Just tried flashing a stock ROM with Android 2.3.6, problem is still there: samsung-updates.com/details/18868/Galaxy_Ace_2/GT-I8160/H3G/I8160NELG2.html

Thanks for you reply.
I came across this 3-parted firmware flash a few hours ago.
I'm trying it right now. I'll let you know what the results are.
Alright, another update. (My problem seems to be fixed!)
At first I tried downloading the 3 files neccessary for the new flash method, but for some reason it'd take me hours to download them.
I started looking on the internet for the same files and found a torrent link on another forum leading to a torrent file uploaded here, on the XDA forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1757643&d=1361735404.
I downloaded the files in the torrent and used them properly in Odin.
The flashing process started and at about 80% Odin gave me a nasty error message saying the flash failed...
At that moment I was seriously hopeless and pretty sure I've just succesfully hard-bricked my phone.
I tried to start it and I got a weird message saying a firmware update went wrong and that I should fix it using Samsung Kies.
As it stated, I tried using Samsung Kies but was unable to get my phone to work.
I was out of options so I decided to give the 3-way flashing method a second chance.
Oding started flashing and for some reason finished succesfully this time.
The phone reboots, and shows the 'Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160' message for a few minutes.
After that the Samsung logo pops up and I've waited for another few minutes until a new screen pops up.
I see the Android guy and a blue progress bar underneath and patiently waits untill it's done.
After this I see the Samsung logo again and the phone finally boots to Android! Great Success!
Conclusion in my case: The 3-parted firmware seemed to do the trick for me.
As I stated above, the first flash failed but the second one was totally succesfully and revived my phone.

Yeb - you can use also the 3-parted MB4 (which was an very early JB FW).
But as the MB4 is not 100% complete - I still recommend only to use the 3-parted FWs linked by me (which ChuckMichael shows you)
But anyway - If your Phone booted you are done - You do not need to to it again. Just flash afterwards the newst original FW available.
Hi guys,
hope you can help me with a nasty little problem ..
I got a Chinese Note 2 (GT-N7100_CHN_CHN) from my father in law - he bought a Note 4 just recently. The phone is virtually not usable in Europe, as no Google support is implemented (mail, G+, Maps) and there is no access to the regular Playstore. Also, the only Android available is 4.1.
So I tried to flash a new Firmware (and yes, I'm a noob), and that's were the problems began. I've downloaded this ROM: N7100XXUFNE1_N7100DBTFNE1_N7100XXUFND3_HOME.tar.md5 which is - as far as I could figure out - a more or less "factory" version of a German Android 4.4 ROM. For whatever reason, I was unable to flash it using Odin (I tried several drivers, cables, computers (all Win7/64), disabled virus scan .. no way to get Odin 3.09 to work. It recognizes the phone, but aborts the flash process immediately with just a "1 processes failed" error.
After reading a bit here, I tried to root the phone using Saferoot (worked perfectly), loaded MobileOdin and this ROM to the phone and did the flashing there. This works fine, the phone starts, it has a German interface, is running KitKat .. great. Only issue: The WiFi does not work. As I figured out from this forum, I need to install either a WiFi patch or a new Bootloader (I've downloaded BL_N7100XXUEMJ5_1903221_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5 - hope that's the right one).
The problem now is:
Saferoot fails to root the Android 4.4 version - so no root access
MobileOdin does not work without root (and I don't know whether it would be able to flash a bootloader)
Odin 3.09 still does not work with the device
I tried Heimdall, but it does not accept the .md5 files for Odin and I could not find any ROMs in the right format
So I'm running out of ideas what else to try. Could you give me a hint what to to do?
Many thanks,
Scooby
You are saying the phone is chinese and doesn't have support from Google so there is clearly not original phone.
Samsung has not produced that phone so it means the hardware parts are not from samsung and the ROM you are flashing can't be installed.
I read you want to root but I think it is already rooted(try with the app "root checker")
You can't do much with that phone.
Sorry

Hi Manuel,
it's definitely a original Samsung device. Google is simply (virtually) not available in China, so they install a slightly modified Android that points to a local Samsung store instead of playstore, G+ and Maps is not pre-installed ..
As written above, I was able to root it as long as the original Android 4.1.x was installed and I have successfully flashed the new german Kitkat ROM. "Only" Problem right now is that I can't get Odin to work and due to that I can not install the Wifi fix or new Bootloader. And ideas on that?
Thanks
Scooby
Hello All,
I have a T mobile samsung SHG-M919 (pre-owned) that I bought fully paid from T mobile store.
here's my journey to current issue:
1. update to Cynogenmod latest version (download in SD card and install through recovery mode) -- Successful
2. work email addition requires encryption - OK, permission granted.
3. after encryption, phone does not reach homepage. reboots again and again.
4. decided to re-install factory firmware through samsung kies.
5. Kies requires S/N for phone and for some weird reasons after refurbishment T mobile did not included this info on battery compartment sticker. there is IMEI, FCC_ID, and everything else but not the serial number.
its not listed on receipt, box, or t mobile customer service records.
Any suggestions on what I can do?
Thanks in advance!!

Elderstahl,
That is quite the problem. However, the fix is pretty simple.
Are you familiar with Odin? Get it here if you don't have it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711451
Use Odin from your computer to flash the firmware from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/general/firmwares-official-mdl-mk2-nb4-t2816508
Be sure to slap their thanks buttons for providing links to all of the downloads.
Once you do that, you will be returned to stock.
If you don't have a windows computer and use Linux, you can also download Heimdall. If you have Heimdall, you can flash a TWRP image from here:
https://dl.twrp.me/jfltetmo/
And boot into recovery, wipe, and install a new rom. Like SlimLP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/development/rom-slimlp-jfltetmo-t3377731
Either way, this should get you up and running. Let me know if you need more help.
Perfect, Worked like a charm.
I am back on factory firmware.
