I'm trying to drop back down to 4.1.2. After wiping and installing the Rom, which send to install correctly,I just keep getting a black screen, no boot screen, nothing. Am I missing a step some where?

Hey guys.
I was running paranoid android 4.0.4 and t was good but I wanted to go to JB. I tried for a long time and it kept getting stuck at the bootloader loop screen.
I formatted sdcard, went back to stock. Back to square one. got TWRP and rooted it.
It tells me there is an update I can go from 4.0.4 to 4.1 and I allow it and it STILL gets stuck at the bootloader loop.
I tried to manually put in a ROM again, the black AOKP one and still stuck in the loop.
I haven't got a custom launcher or anything. pretty much running stock and wanted to get to JB...
my phone is maguro.
Anyone have any ideas?
anyone?!
Are you talking about an OTA Official update? If so you need stock recovery, bootloader and radio. You can't flash an OTA without these. If you really want to go down this route, you will need to flash factory images for your device and start from fresh.

Have you tried CM10? I have had great luck on Euroskank. I tried AOKP this morning and ended up stuck in a bootloop but Euroskank AOSP and AOKP have both been great. Also I use the 0726 gapps.

thanks! I will try these tomorrow!
Download the following: Superwipe zip, and Jelly Bean Bootloader zip
http://d-h.st/jcO Bootloader
http://www.mediafire.com/?lxpw84fwtm5cj6w Superwipe Script
Use clockworkmod and flash the superwipe choosing install zip from sd first the the same for the bootloader then flash your rom. Let it boot up which can take a couple minutes at the boot screen
What worked for me was the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit. It allows you to wipe the entire system and replace it with a factory image. The factory image for stock JB is available now, so it's as easy as a couple clicks. It's the only thing that worked for me completely, i.e., no sdcard0 bug.
NB: It wipes EVERYTHING!!!!! Backup anything important.
HI all
so i rooted my phone and been using custom rom, but didn't like the instability of them. so now I am trying to go back to stock firmware but with root access.
so i went to samsung official website and downloaded the firmware
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SGH-I747M&pcode=0#firmware
then I use odin and flash that .tar file on my phone. every thing went smoothly, the flahsing was complete.
but after my phone was rebooted. it stopped at the boosting animation ( the one with big word "samsung" and purple like going at behind)
what is happening? any help would be appreciated thank you

Hi, I've been using cyanogenmod for awhile know and periodically will update to the newest nightly version. I had updated the the newest one today and was having some small errors so I decided to go back to a previous version. After choosing the version it restarted but got stuck at the boot screen with the spinning circle. I tried clearing the cache and even did a factory wipe which didn't work. Not sure what to do if anyone can help that would be great.
Have you tried reflashing? Don't need to wipe.

I've got the same problem. Totally clean installs but upon reboot, I'm stuck at the note 2 screen. 4.2.2 ROMs boot. Probam roms mentioned having an unlocked bootloader but i thought that was a prerec to being rooted?
No problems here. One thing on 4.3 roms is the su binary needs to be updated usually. Supersu from the play store addresses this. I'm running the cm 4.3 9-1 nightly.

Which recovery are you using to flash it?
Twrp

Clockwordmod superuser app was the key! After the first boot, I ran the app and even though it always wanted to be updated (even after it went through its process) 4.3 ROMs would reboot! I tried probam and pacrom. Each time I flashed new, I had to re update the su or else no reboot. Thanks for your help!
Stuck at cyanogenmod screen on t0ltetmo 10.2 Need help
I'm having the same problem, I had stock new 4.1.2 t0ltetmo. Rooted/TWRP recovery booted fine. Loaded RomManager booted into recovery flashed 10.2 nightly from 9/9/2013 then flashed 4.3 GAPPS, Wiped cache, now it's just sitting at the cyanogeMod screen does not boot. I've installed a lot of roms w/o issue but am a novice.
How do I get back into recovery? What is my course of action? HELP!! Thanks
Hi guys,
I recently rooted my phone and switched over to CM 10.1 for a little bit. I wanted to switch back to my rooted TouchWiz, but when I tried to restore it from my CWM restore something appears to have gone wrong. The phone will start up and I can get past the Samsung splash screen, but then it just sits on the AT&T globe screen indefinitely. Anyone have any ideas on what has happened or how to fix it? Thanks in advance!
Try flashing a touch wiz rom.

I ended up using a rooted TouchWiz rom and reloaded it using Odin. It was still booting and getting stuck on the AT&T splash screen so I booted into recovery mode and chose to factory reset/wipe data. After that it booted just fine.

Good you figured it out on your own. Cuz that's what I was going to tell you to do.
Or just re flash the Rom again if it get stuck at the Samsung logo. In your case factory reset usually fixes most minor issues flashing Roms...
