I had a company replace the glass on my gs4. after i replaced the glass the screen is displaying in a green color. did the lcd get damaged? or do you think it is another issue. They do not want to warranty it saying that it is a defect with the device. quick response would be appreciated thank you.
Here's people talking about that issue: http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s4/274138-dropped-galaxy-s4.html
Seems like you broke the digitizer.

I see some for the epic 4G but not for the e4gt

for our specific phone the screen and the digitizer are fused into one which makes it much more difficult/risky to try to change separately. plus u wont find only the screen without the digitizer. I recently replaced my screen too so i can say i have experience.
refer to this if u havent:
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung-Epic-4G-Touch-Teardown/6481/1
look on ebay for cheaper offers, otherwise they end up costing about $150+. i got mine for $65 shipped and it was in pristine condition
use this as a start (make sure its our phone of course):
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw...gitizer&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
dont forget to be gentle! i screwed up my original screen bc i was too rough and glass shards got btwn the screen and the digitizer, but i was also trying to separate the screen from the digitizer, which was stupid
good luck!
I have a complete housing I could sell you. Its the black one, like new condition. I am currently using the white housing on my phone, and have two black ones.

Man, I looked on ebay. Nobody is selling the housings anymore...that is crazy.
Where can I buy a new screen. Mine cracked when I tripped down the stairs. Just the glass, my digitizer is fine. And how can I do this?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
this is a bit irrelevant, but what i know is, no matter how miniscule a crack, sprint won't help you if your power button doesn't work.
I've removed my screen 5 times with no issues smfh.
Send the op from this thread a pm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1868913 I think he charges 50 for the screen with digitizer. YouTube how to install it. Edit: here's a link to the YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3f9pJTltvZ0

Hi all,
I have cracked the glass on my Marble White Note 2 and was wondering if I could replace this with a Titanium Gray Note 2 screen?
I can only find Titanium Gray to purchase in the UK.

No ideas from anyone?

Technically it will work. If you're fine with having a gray screen and a white back cover, go ahead and do it! Will the screen replacement come with a home button? You have to replace that too if you're coming from a white phone.
Replacing the screen is no easy task. If you're replacing the entire assembly, including the LCD, it's much simpler; but just the lens? It's laminated to the digitizer layer, the touch layer, and the LCD itself. You've very little chance of doing a quality replacement.
I broke my screen a couple of weeks ago. Very upset over it so I've looked into exactly what you're doing. I've settled for just putting a film protector over it and living with it for now.
Thank you both for replying and it is the whole lcd unit I will be replacing, and was unsure incase the white lcd was different to the gray and I can only get gray from a shop nearby.
And sorry to hear you have broken yours too, mine is very noticeable, but I use a flip cover so I don't have to look at it all the time

That's better than prices I've seen elsewhere...
Hello there
A few days ago I was using the public transport when my Note II fell on the ground. When my girlfriend asked if it was broken, I replied that the Note II was unbreakable. When I picked it up my screen was broken (karma hits player 1 for one million thousand trillion points). I mailed to the store I bought it from and they told me it would cost 250 euro's.
I'm wondering whether this is a normal price for a screen replacement.
Thank you for the replies!
Stores always want to rip you off! I have seen issues about screen on the galaxy s3 which obviously is different but almost the same. The glass can be bought for under $10 online and there are plenty of YouTube videos with instructions on how to do change it yourself. So to answer your question yes I think $250 is wayyyyy too much

If it were me, I'd attempt to fix it myself, after reading up extensively and making sure I had the right tools.
Only you can contemplate whether it's worth it for you, watch some YouTube and make a decision

The alternative is getting it fixed in a local 'foreign' shop here in my city. Not entirely reliable, but I have little to lose.

Did you ask if they were going to change just the front glass or the whole display such as glass+ digitizer+amoled? Because if it's just the glass then it would be a major rip off! It's not that simple to just change the glass since it glued with an adhesive and you'll need to be very careful when removing it.

Well they said they had to replace everything, which probably explains the hefty price tag.

I'd do some research before running to pay. These companies tell us w/e they want in hopes of making more money off customers

First of all. If the screen is scratched or broken but still works it means than the screen is not damaged. Only upper glass over screen is broken and you can buy one from ebay for 20$ and replace yourself by video tutorial on youtube. Anyway if you fail to repar it yourself you can anytime go and replace whole screen for 250 eur. But I think its worth to try to repair upper glass only if screen is still responding after damage.

Hello all. My screen and digitizer was broken, so i change them, but at now i have problem with screen. the top of screen 1/4 not working . Can someone help me?
Sounds like you put in a faulty digitizer, either that or you could have some how messed up the new one during installation.
I would see if the seller will give you a replacement as more than likely it is not your fault
Best of luck!
