I bought this charging pad on a whim having no idea what to expect. I am using it with a LG Nexus 5 with a Spigen Neo Hybrid case on it.
The unit has a very plain flat pad design with 2 LED lights on it. A red light and a green light. A red light is on when the unit is not charging or your phone is not connected/placed right. The light switches to the green light when everything is connected and charging.
The unit comes with a white usb cable to charge with. You need to use your phones outlet adapter.
I have used mine for several days and it has worked great so far. In fact I placed an order for a second to use at home today. I may even rig one up for a car mount soon as well.
It may be white (not my first choice) but for $15.39 with free shipping it cannot be beat. Great unit for a great price.
Find more info here:More info on the charger and where to get it
I bought amazon.com/gp/product/B00F5STIUK/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
this one and it was about 18$ when I ordered it. I believe it is the same thing but they are great. I got one and it charges to 100% and stays at 100% in the morning when I charge it at night time. This thing charges pretty quick too. Phone never gets hot when it is charging and I'm using a Spigen Neo Hybrid case as well
Had it for a month without any issues and it's cheap lol
Ditto same here. Goes to 100 and keeps it there. Awesome charger. I ordered my second one yesterday.

I got one of these on eBay for 10 dollars. It looks like a premium quality product. Even the box that it came in was super nice. I love this charger especially for the price.

Got the black one, unfortunately i spent around 30$ for it. I also ordered some magnets which i intend to put inside it to transform the charger in a nice desktop stand.
What i don't like about it, it's glossy, fingerprints and smudges are extremely visible on the black version. The plastic around the LED could've been more opaque. Functionality wise, it's a good cheap qi charger!
Ordered 2 Thank you for the heads up.......:good:
I've got the black version of this charger. It works well with my N5 in a Spigen Slim Armor case and seems to output 700mA at its peak. Been afraid that a cheap QI charger might not have a very good regulator and would overheat the QI and battery circuitry but so far that has not been the case. I've used the charger for about 2 weeks now and according to Battery Monitor Widget the phone has never exceeded 38 degrees centigrade.
Definitely recommend it considering the ridiculously low price and satisfactory performance. Paid $15.35 for mine on ebay from siqi_etech on November 2nd.
Nice deal!
Thanks for sharing this! I just ordered one for my Nexus 5 fast shipping too!
Wonder if I can use this with a Ballistic SG MAXX on?
I love these. I have a couple around my house now. I also cut one up to add wireless charging to my 350z:

Oh and FYI amazon stocks them now (as in fulfilled by Amazon, not 3rd party). My first 2 were from a 3rd party on amazon so it got shipped from china. Now you can get them w/ free shipping direct from amazon.

eBay search, now around £10 if I remember right. I have a black one for my S2 which will be used on my blue S3. My dad's S3 above is on his white S2 dock.
Dock works just fine with the rubber seat that comes with it, the phone is solid when docked. Case users will need to remove the seat from the dock. People should confirm what cases fit in this dock when attached to the S3 but I imagine all official mesh style cases will be fine as the S2 is just fine with them minus the seat.
Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered 2 of them ;-)
Saw your post in another thread, thanks for the heads up, ordered two off of Ebay just now, one for home and one for the office. $11 each.
It really is one of the nicest looking docks I have seen, probably because it is in similar style to the iPhone one
Cheers mrk. Just bought one for £6.50.
thanks just ordered one
It's difficult to tell from the photo but do you think the S3 with the flip cover will fit in the dock?

Looks like this one will not be compatible with some cases. While the OEM version will absolutely be compatible with most cases. See pic below.
I'll go for the charger that lets me use a case. I learned that lesson already. You think it won't be a big deal taking the case off and putting it back on. But for me at least, it gets pretty annoying after awhile even if it does become second nature.

ya I just ordered ad GS3 from expansy and this item from ebay.
Zenis dock works with official mesh case so any case similar will also be fine
Flip case not included in that though!
I was expecting to see a dock with an ugly design, but it was actually nice, and that was the product you recommend. Looks nice. I will save it for later when I have my device.
Add me to the list! just ordered 2. Thanks for the heads up!
I really would have liked to get a dock this time around, but unfortunately my kid steals my phone all the time and having it in a dock means too much wear & tear and the possibility for it to be bent out sideways from the dock instead of pulled out, damaging the ports.
So, I bought a regular "Though Out ped3-u universal stand" instead, because my kid at least knows to yank the cable out the right way by the wire. My last stand was a portable desk stand, but was meant for a tablet, and my kid managed to destroy that, so, this ped3-u should hold up much better, being solid steel.
(And I suppose wireless charging would be even more ideal where fat fingered kids are concerned...)
Dock bought!
The other powermat thread was so cluttered up with extraneous crap I decided to post here
I wanted to get rid of wall warts with our two phones, 2 tablets, Portable speaker, Nintendo DS, iPod etc... I bought this:
Powermat home/office from amazon. Sadly, the 1A output does not work on the galaxy tab 10.1 or the HP touchpad.
plus another pair of the universal pucks. cost me $45 total delivered. the kit in the link came with 8 or 9 tips.

I looked at the back from Verizon for my AT&T phone but it was noticeably thicker than standard and my spiegen cover would not fit over it, plus it ONLY works with QI which is NOT part of this powermat. I even took my mat into the verizon store to test and it didnt work. UGH. well, i knew Duracell was working on the case so I stuck with it.
Ordered my case yesterday Directly from the Duracell-Powermat webiste and it arrived today! yay for being close to Memphis.
to put the case on, line up the USB plug to the phone and insert it, once in, tilt phone back into the case and slide rubber molding around the top. to remove, hole the top corner edge with your fingers and push on the flash area with your thumb.
First impressions, I like it. it fits really good. id say 1/8th of an inch thicker. Really not bad at all. the case has a very good feel to it and the buttons work well underneath it. the Pass thru USB works perfectly and YES it does read my TecTiles. that said they pickup best when placed between the Powermat Logo and the camera Lens. but they work every time. All nfc functions work great. Also the powermat will turn back on a charge the phone up more if need be. Charging is very fast at 1.0amps. Faster than the wall wart it came with.
it is backwards compatible with all powermat products. so you dont need the new white ones.

Not bad, $35 for the case and $25 for the power mat. Just when i thought i was done buying accessories for my phone
Looks like it wont work with MHL
I have one question inly. Does this have a batter in it? I doubt it because i believe its just a wireless charging enabler. Would be sweet if it had a battery in that bad boy for backup power that would wirelessly charge on the mat.

Does it replace the battery cover or can it fit over the original?
Does it replace the battery cover or can it fit over the original? I'd get this case if i could just slip it on over the phone without having to completely replace the battery cover.
yes. this is a Case that slips on over the phone. protects pretty good to so far for me.
I'm looking for a little bit of a boost while I'm on the go, and I like the idea of the wireless chargers with the batteries built into them but I feel like I would never really bring it anywhere...anyone know of a charger thats small enough to attach to your keychain (preferably with the usb cable built in or wireless would be even better)?
Doesn't have to have a huge capacity...just a little extra juice in emergencies would be nice if it's portable enough to always have with you.
edit: after looking around this seems to be the best i've found so far...but it's a little bigger than what I'd really consider "keychain" sized

nice design tho...anyone know of something this nice but just a little smaller? or is this probably the best i'm gonna get?

wondering whether there is a portable battery that is stylish as well. Thanks for the mophie link. Since we have the Nexus5, I wonder if there is a wireless portable battery charger instead!
Bigger than keychain-sized but there are a lot of these cute looking power banks floating around for cheap. They pop up on Groupon, TeamBuy, DailySteals and all the other group buying sites frequently, as well as eBay and Amazon.
There is a whole section on DailySteals right now:
http://www.dailysteals.com/heists/404/Battery-Backups
For $10 (shipped to US only) you can get a 2600 mAh power bank either in a rectangular shape (something like a slightly bigger pack of Halls?) or cylindrical, with a choice of colours. Or for $20 something that is oddly T-Mobile branded and presumably heavier, but packs 4000 mAh and has an integrated micro USB cable.
Or maybe this bright and slim 4000 mAh pack: http://www.amazon.com/MOCREO-Universal-Portable-Lightning-Blackberry/dp/B00EL8MX20
There is basically something cheap in just about any shape you could imagine.
Not a keychain but I'm thinking of getting this one.

I backed this project on kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2088143118/nomad-cable-micro-usb. The funding period is over and was successful funded. Production just recently started and it will be sent to backers in the second half of November. Once backers have received their product they'll start selling it publicly on keroproducts.com, for $14.99.
Edit: Oops I misread, I thought OP meant cable. -_-
I ended up buying two of these: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00FJK02JK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Because the total came out to only $15 shipped in Canada. No integrated cable but should at least in theory provide a full charge. Will have to see if that's really the case.

I bought a couple of these about a week ago. Nowhere near the claimed 2600mah!
The most I've had them charge my nexus 4 was 25% before they conked out. Average charge was around 10-15% charge.

Sorry, I've misread as well :/
Don't know if this is a bit small, and it's not out yet, but the devotec micro fuel charger is very key chain sized. Obviously being that small it only holds 220mah, but it could be enough to get you home. Did really well on kick starter.
This is a review of RAVPower Qi-enabled wireless charger. http://www.ravpower.com/ravpowerr-q...ss-charger-charging-pad-white-us-version.html , http://www.amazon.com/RAVPower®-Wireless-Qi-Enabled-Incredible-Single-Position/dp/B00DMZPQIG/
I was always envious of devices that have wireless charging enabled, especially since my Note 2 had that feature disabled by Verizon. Now, I finally got a chance to experience it with our new Nexus 7 HD tablet. As you aware, the official wireless Nexus 7 charger is $50+ and I wasn't too crazy about small footprint and thickness of it, makes the tablet easier to knock off. After some search, I decided to test universal wireless charging pad from RAVPower. Here is what I found.
The product arrived in a nicely packaged box. It included the wireless charger pad, VERY high quality usb to micro usb charging cable with 22AWG wires (those are thicker wires with high current and high voltage rating!!!), a quality AC usb wall adapter with 1.5A rating, and a detailed manual. The best usb charging wire I was ever able to get in the past for my Note's 2A charging was w/24AWG gauge wires, 22AWG is actually rare. The charging pad is very lightweight, only 3.8 oz, and has very slim dimensions of 5.7" x 3.1" x 0.3". This is very important because you don't want your tablet to be wobbling on a small and thick charger pad. The top surface has sandblasted finish and there is a rubber ring in the middle for additional non-slip grip. The front of the pad has led which is red when you power up the pad, and blinking white/red when you are charging your device. The other end has micro-usb port for a power cable. That's all, very simple and clean.
All you have to do is power it up and put your Nexus 7 on top, approximately centered in the middle. You hear a beep and it starts charging. I have a little charging-doctor dongle which monitors the current and I confirmed 0.8A which means the pad was actually drawing 1A of charging current without a dongle (the dongle by itself draws it's own current to power up led display and internal circuit). I did this test without a case just to show maximum charging speed. With a case, I'm using my last year N7 case temporary while waiting for new ones to arrive, I had no issue charging it as well, but I'm sure charging current/speed will be a bit less since the case adds a distance between wireless pad transmitter and N7 receiver.
Overall, I was very impressed with this product and can definitely recommend it to any Nexus 7 HD user. Keep in mind, this is universal charging pad so it will work with your Nexus 7 or any other Qi-enabled wireless charging devices from Samsung, LG, Nokia, etc. For $35 shipped US locally, backed by 1 year warranty, and including 1.5A usb AC wall charger and very high quality usb charging cable - its a great value!
Here are the pictures.

Looking to pick up a Qi charging dock for my Nexus 5.
The idea is a bedside dock with some angle so I can see it by rolling over. (my Nexus is about to become a baby monitor screen). I've looked through the budget thread, and it's just not for me. I'd rather spend the extra and get the 1.5a and something a bit more solid. The problem is, I'm having a lot of trouble finding any information about a dock form-factor and Qi charging. It all looks like flat pads and pucks right now.
The Swich Charger (www.swichcharger.com) looks great, but while I don't need budget I'm not going to spend $215. The $99 airdock falls into the same category for me.
The Sunwee looks decent (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WG6Q67W?psc=1) and is about the upper end of what I'd be willing to pay.
Any one have recommendations, while the Sunwee is the leader right now it's just not an obvious winner so I thought I'd ask. (Also, if you have a recommendation on a great non-Qi dock I'm still not 100% convinced)
Tylt Vu hand down best wireless charger. Has 3 coils do you can place your phone in any direction and it will charger. Also it's a stand.
Found this on Amazon, looks to be a clone of the Tylt Vu for half the price. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UE9O0WQ?&psc=1 and comes with the plug. Doubting any one has experience with it though :/

The only issue with that one is it's just a single coil/ 1-coil transmitter Qi charger. On my current phone (XT1225), which has the Qi receiver in the 1/3 of the back of the phone, it's HARD to hit the charging spot with a simple 1-coil charger.
For my phone you often have to place the phone almost OFF the charging pad for the battery to start charging.
Even for the Nexus 5, not always easy to hit the "sweet spot".
With the TRIPLE COIL/3-coil chargers (non-budget, as they cost a little more), 3 transmitter coils are interspersed throughout the pad. You place the phone ANYWHERE on the pad (even horizontally), it will hit a charging coil!

They make both flat style and tilted 3-coil chagers. I admit I like the titled better... Google 3-coil Qi charger, triple coil Qi charger.
I've changed out all simple "1-coil" Qi chargers with triple coil chargers, as I got tired of trying to hit the "sweet spot"..
Mini-review...
Went with the YeeSite 3 coil wireless charging stand because it came with the 2.1amp charger included.
In short, it works great. Charges quickly (haven't bothered to get an amp reading yet), just get anywhere close and it makes the connection. It has a little LED light that tells you the status of the connection, it's very unobtrusive but still noticeable when you go to look for it. I have my nightstand about 3 inches below the level of the bed, and the angle of the dock works great like that. I imagine on a desk I'd probably want a slightly steeper tilt though.

I have my nightstand about 3 inches below the level of the bed, and the angle of the dock works great like that. I imagine on a desk I'd probably want a slightly steeper tilt though.

the tylt vu has that angle too. Wish it was more steep. They other one like that I have is the same way. Must be a reason they all do that.
