Im so sorry if this is a repost!!!! I just got a Note 2 and its killer, however I lived in the stoneage with a pantech slider phone. Im so used to the full sliding keyboard. I looked online and see flip keyboard cases, or "prop up" keyboard cases, thats not what I want, I am looking for a sliding one that is always behind the phonr until I need it. One that keeps my phone steary and is "locked" with the keyboard while I type instead of it flopping all around. Anyway. Ill keep looking while this gets some views and replies. Thank you for any help!

^^^^^^^^ THAT is what I want, but for a Note 2. I don't see it anywhere... maybe its not real, but instead an unobtainable dream of mine.

Thanks. Now, notice how that S3 goes into the Tablet UI? With no modifications to the firmware. We need to find out how to enable that independently of docking.

I would assume its because its displaying on the laptop dock which has a larger screen and smaller DPI. You can force your S3 into the tablet UI by simply lowering your pixel density, but then everything is so small.

Yeah, but I mean w/o manually editing the DPI. Like a toggle or something built in to ROMs. Would be kinda cool, at least IMO. Especially if someone already has an MHL adapter and plugs it up to their HD TV.

Shut up and take my money!!!
I've been waiting for something like this since I bought my iPod Touch 2g back in 2008. The Atrix would have been nice, but laptop dock was ridiculously overpriced, and only available on AT&T.
Has anyone been able successfully find anything else on these? I have been searching high and low and have yet to find it.

What i would want to see from a device like this is an integrated dock for the phone. Let's say I'm on a plane or a train, i dont want cables between two devices, i would want my phone to clip into the netbook somehow. Maybe on the back of the screen? Or even better, screen up, in next to the trackpad flush with the keyboard, with the Capability to use it as an auxiliary screen. Or why not use the phone itself AS the trackpad?
Even still, as it is now, I'd buy it.

Is there a way to make it so if you have one of your fingers touching the screen doesn't register it like on the Ipad?

Do you mean like locking the screen so it won't register input? I dunno but what's the purpose of this? Just so I can think a bit about it. I don't see the use and can't imagine why you would disallow one finger input. :0

Like when I hold the tablet in portrait mode with one hand, my thumb sometimes clicks things or makes it so I can't click on anything because of the thin bezels on the sides. I heard the iPad mini has something that fixes this problem.

O sh*t, ye I understand your trouble on this. I'm afraid I dunno. I can try and see when I get home. If the feature is called by a name on iPad, one should be able to google that name and then finish with android, but I won't do research thru me tablet. But I'll try and look around mate.

Can't find a name, can only find mention of the feature in iPad Mini describingly. Tried a few searches. Seems like some people comment on this, the Android have been doing it for a while, but from manufacturers. Samsung and Motorola seems to be doing it. Can't find any universal app and no one mentions name of apps that does it on their android devices. It's probably coded into the specific stock rom. Other mentions that it is fairly hit an miss that it works.
For now, no dice. - Sorry.

Agreed, would be a nice addition. One can only hope.
Everyone in my house recently switched over to the Galaxy Note 2. We love the phones, but for some reason, I got stuck with a defective s-pen.
My stylus doesn't do the same basic functions as the others, such as screen capture, quick commands, etc. On the other hand, it can do things the other pens can't, such as swipe between screens while hovering an inch above the glass and open apps, links, etc. by clicking the pen button while hovering an inch above the glass.
I love the bonus features, but the lack of basic features makes it unusable. After some research, I found all the guides to adjusting the potentiometer. I popped the button off the s-pen to adjust the little screw...and it's not there!
Here's a pic comparing everything: http://imgur.com/a/pm7EE
So...any help? Has anyone run into this before? Is there any way to fix this? I bought the phones used, so maybe this stylus is 3rd party?
I'm guessing that I can't swap this out via warranty now that I popped it open, so any help fixing is much appreciated!
The pens arent locked to a specific device. Try one of the others and see if it gets normal functionality. Otherwise you can buy a new one for 20-30$

I've actually tried all the pens on all the devices. Two of them do all the expected functions, while the one is okay for clicking links and such, but it won't do screen shots, quick command, etc. The thing where I can use it to swipe between screens or click links without even touching the screen is cool, though, so I was hoping I'd be able to get it to work and have the best of both worlds.

Come to think of it it sounds like the tip button is stuck in. Try pushing the tip in on one of the regular ones with a piece of tape or something and ill bet you get the same functionality as the messed up one. So maybe try putting the tip in rubbing alcohol or something to get it unstuck

The tip seems to work fine, and taping in the tips on the others doesn't replicate the issues. For example, taping up the tip on a normal one doesn't make it so that I can swipe pages and open links without even touching the screen. Plus, this still wouldn't explain why the inside components are different.

This here^^^^^^^ 100% correct.
Here's a link to a OEM part from Amazon. If you choose to order from somewhere else. Then just make sure you're receiving original Samsung retail packaging! That way you know it's real

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I haven't seen 3rd party units that are branded as Samsung before, so I was hoping I could figure out a way to keep the extra features and restore the basic functions. Oh well!
Just got this a couple days ago and been noticing that it's seems to be getting laggy on me for some reason the more I use it.
Any suggestions you guys have for helping that? What are you guys doing right out of box with this, any must do mods etc? You guys have been awesome help in the past. And I know people have been working on things already and I thank you for that.
I noticed flash player says it's not supported for 4.4 and when it takes me to website it says it's not available, can this be true? I thought I read that someone made a flash player for it? Can anyone point me in the correct direction to download the correct one if it's true that one will work?
Also, any other cases/ keyboards out besides the Samsung one? Went to BB and that's all they had.
Thanks all, I did read other post but they are mostly about the 8" ones.

change the screen animation to 0.5.
can't comment on the flash thing since the only videos I watch are on youtube.
There's the Logitech keyboard/case.
yes, the tab pro forum is filled with threads about the 8.4 one.
I have the pro 10.1. I followed the instructions on the following website and have flash working just fine on my tablet
http://nexus7.wonderhowto.com/how-t...r-nexus-7-running-android-4-4-kitkat-0152824/
For cases, check out Amazon. I found a decent selection there.
For lag problems, find the app Cache Cleaner NG in the app store. I have it set to run every morning. If the tablet starts to lag again after heavy use, I will run it again.

I got a case and keyboard from Amazon. The case is a WAWO Samsung Galaxy Note & Tab PRO 12.2 Tablet Smart Fold Case Cover (white) which comes in several colors for $13.99. Once you snap the case onto your tablet it is very secure and will not fall out. If anything it's a little difficult to remove which I like. The keyboard is a SANOXY® Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad/iPhone 4.0 OS/Android/Window Mobile/Symbian Smartphone/MAC/PC (white) for $13.46. It looks great with my white tablet and white case. If your looking for the perfect mouse for your tablet then you'll want a Samsung S Action Bluetooth Mouse. They come in white or black and have the same stitch pattern as your tablet. The right button functions as back, middle button functions as home, and side button functions as recent, so no need to reach for your tablet when watching on a big screen.
