I am using an app to download music. It used to work but now it gives me the error in the title.
I tried clearing the app's data, rebooting, wiping cache, dalvik cache with no luck.
I had this error once before I rooted my phone and it was fixed by itself.
Please help.
Using LG Nitro HD P930 CM10.1.3, wind kernel.
Solved
I downloaded other songs and the error didn't appear. I don't understand why.
If you had the same issue check wsfulton (clearing the app's cache) and fwuts (setting install location to auto) posts, they seem to have worked with some people http://forums.androidcentral.com/ep...3-insufficient-storage-available-error-2.html

Hey guys, I'm starting have some problems when installing applications on my mt3gs.
First I thought it was the apps, because only like 2 apps wouldn't install, but now NO apps will install.. I keep on getting the error, "Package file is invalid.". I have no idea what it means, I was hoping I could get some help..
Here's some details,
I'm using the "SLIDE MR1.v4 With Eclair" rom.
I've had it for a few months, haven't had any problems with it.
Then about 2 or 3 days before the 14th of august, I set up my sd card and phone for Apps2SD, it worked.
I don't know if the rom is the issue, or the app2sd is the issue, but I'm just looking for some help.
If you need anymore information about the phone, just ask I'll glady provide you guys with it. I REALLY need the help, because as of now; I'm unable to install any applications.
Got It...
What I did to fix this was...
Clear Market Cache (Settings->Applications->All->Market->Clear Cache)
Clear System Cache
Clear Dalvik Cache
The step that did it for me was clearing dalvik cache. Just posted this so it was up for anyone who needed to find it (one of the first pages on google). Couldn't find the proper solution anywhere else.
P.S. Your phone has to be rooted to do the last two steps. (Google "Android Clear Dalvik Cache")
P.S.S Your phone will take a while to reboot after clearing the Dalvik Cache. That's normal.
I have run into problems updating apps on the market (such as GoLauncher..)
I am on DarkForest ROM RC2... I moved the Dalvik Cache to /Cache.
I get the errors:
"There is insufficient space on the device"
and
"The package file is invalid"
when trying to update apps.
I have tried using Root Explorer to delete everything from /data/dalvik-cache/ and /cache/dalvik-cache.
I have tried using Titanium backup to clean out the Dalvik Cache.
I have tried booting into recovery mode and wiping both Cache and Dalvik-Cache and battery stats.
I have a rooted, bootloader unlocked, R800i in the UK on Orange.
According to Titanium Backup Pro, my space is as follows:
System ROM: 130MB free
Internal: 172MB free
SD Card: 10.9GB Free
I have also tried using MarketFix, and wiping the Market and Market Updater, and Download Manager Caches, removing updates from Market and Market Updater (and this helped once, but I don't want to keep doing this!)
Can anybody please tell me why this happens?
It should be noted that within Root Explorer, cache/Dalvik-cache and data/dalvik-cache are practically full every time I check, even after reboots.
Edit:
I did something on Titanium Backup where I integrated updates of system apps into ROM, and now I can't remove my Market updates.. :/
After reading this, it appears this may have been a mistake.....
Ideas?

MOST likely reason is due to - I am on DarkForest ROM RC2... I moved the Dalvik Cache to /Cache. - moving the dalvik cache to cache on 2.3.4 is not good.
Was going to say can I reverse moving dalvik... but screw it..
I'm moving onto DarkForest RC3 tonight...

thank me I have helped.
also you can edit a init.d script and remove a file but can't remember where.

I have thanked now, sorry mate
I installed DarkForest 3.0.5, dalvik is now back to normal, and market works as normal.
Thanks
I just installed the newest version of Blu Kuban, everything went fine. I cleared everything and was a clean flash. Now when I try to re-download all my apps the market is giving me this error "Error retrieving information from server. [DF-BPA-21]" I looked it up on here and google, and I tried what other people did, clear market cache, data, clear framework data, turn wifi on-off, and it's still giving me the error. I even tried to install them from my computer, and it's says this app will be installed on your device shortly, but they never get pushed through. Can someone please help me.
Settings....applications.....find google play and then clear everything you can clear associated with it. Restart the phone....clear cache and dalvik cache.
This should clear everything up <-- pun intended.:cyclops:
Hi all,
I have the 2013 nexus 7 32gb and I started getting these errors on friday. The error is "Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped". I wiped Cache / Dalvik but I kept getting the error. I then flashed CM10.2 which threw a different error : uids on the system are inconsistent. It suggest that I wipe data. So I wiped data / cache / dalvik and re-flashed CM10.2, however, I still get the android.process.media error.
How can I get rid of this short of disabling the gallery?
PS. I was using USB OTG at the time these errors began happening
Thanks for the help
I solved my problem by going back to stock through the fastboot flashing method.

Force close and clear data/cache on "Media Store" in Settings -> Apps -> All
I flashed https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/development/bullhead-nexus-rom-t3995623 that rom and android setup was stopping. So I changed to other roms but patternlock and passwordlock is crashed. Once it starts to be crashed, it is always crashed when I unlock. It is even crashed in the rom worked well before.
If I delete locksettings.db, locksetting works correctly but few hours later it has same trouble. Wiping Dalvik / ART Cache, system, data, cache and formatting data has no effect.
How can I fix the problem?

After six times deleting locksettings.db, no more problems for 4days. It decreased than 4times crashes in a day.
