This thread was formerly titled "[ROM][SGH-T889 / T0LTETMO][4.4.2][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 11 - 2014/2/11".
Earlier this year I was running occasional builds for the T-Mobile Note 2, however as most of you know, t0ltetmo has been deprecated. All hardware versions of LTE Note 2 have been unified in the t0lte builds. Old news, but I figured I'd update this thread for people who didn't know. Builds here:
https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=t0lte
My Note 2 has never performed as well as it does with these builds. The UI is incredibly responsive and smooth as silk. ART appears to be working well (though I don't play 3D-intensive games). The only issues I've seen are the notorious in-call volume bug, for which there is a workaround; and the screen doesn't like to turn on while in a call, though alternately pushing the power and home button usually makes it come around.
Coug76 is also running weekly non-unified builds for t0ltetmo specifically, found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-2-tmobile/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-11-builds-opprotunity-t2839662
Good luck.

The last time I had this problem, CM had selected the wrong APN under Settings -> More... (Wireless & Networks) -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names. Beyond that, I'm not sure. )-: LTE was the default APN for me, and my notification icon is showing LTE.
whats weard becuase its on default APN and in LTE n still wont show LTE

I have a long-shot idea for a fix, but today's cm-11.0 branch seems to be horribly broken. The next time I get a working build, I'll test my idea and let you know what I find.

Just uploaded a build for 20131213.
So a huge update was committed to the cm-11.0 branch of the smdk4412 kernel which breaks the Note II. Specifically, the Mali kernel driver was updated to a newer version which is incompatible with the userspace binary blob from the stock ROM. This is fixable but for the moment I've just reverted the commit so we can have a working 4.4.2 build to play with.

Yes, the wi-fi tether works.
I fixed the issue with Mali and the latest smdk4412 kernel. Find a new build, 20131213a, in the OP. The Mali driver is now at version r3p2-01rel3. I noticed a nominal increase of maybe 3 FPS in the AnTuTu 3D demo, and my overall score jumped from ~21350 to 21675. Not sure why, but food for thought.
Thanks everything works so far

Yes, but a few extra steps are required:
Download exfat.zip to your phone.
Flash the CM zip.
Flash gapps.
Flash exfat.zip.
Voila.
CyanogenMod supports exfat out of the box - news to me! But good news nonetheless.

Whats up guys today found out wifi theter 3.1-pre113 working on my sgs2 and all i can say its running 5 times faster than the built in wifi-tether..
This is the instruction to make it work on our device:
Download the yellow wifi-tether apk version 3.1 beta 11 from google..
Then install it on the phone,
now open the app
then menu-settings then change the device profile to epic touch 4g
done.
Start the app then enjoy your 5 times faster wifi-tether!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOT WHOT
BELOW IS THE APK FOR YOU GUYS
No problems with the tether on the customized/themed ROM's I've tried so far. Still bottlenecked by the 4G, about 7-8Meg on a good day but I definitely get that on my Touchpad going through the phone.

Note that beta 7 has been running fine over here since it was released, on the SGS2 profile. I tried beta 11 a couple weeks ago and for some reason had trouble connecting.
Is there something tweaked in the latest beta and/or profile change?
Also, not sure why you've renamed the file attached, since you've confused things a bit...in your text, you refer to "beta 113", which is the experimental version (Dec 28). The attached apk filename implies a date of Jan 12, which is the featured "beta 11" release date.

Thanks, not much of a difference but I definitely see SOME improvement.
Based off of madmack's CM10 port and his kernel/audio changes for our device, I've compiled the latest ParanoidAndroid from source based off of the N71000 and modified it for our device.
There are... more than a few issues. This is more of a practice build for me, as it's one of the first I've built from source. The issues with my build on top of madmack's CM10 port are:
- No audio (I'm not sure why, I included all of madmack's audio modifications in my build, and even directly copied the audio framework files from his latest CM10 zip)
- No data: I'm 99.9% sure this is due to a non-existent APN, but when you try to edit the APNs in Settings, it just brings you back to the main Settings screen.
- No call audio issue is back - madmack, what did you do to solve this, and did you commit the changes to your github?
If someone could take a look at my build and discover why the audio won't work, and why the settings kicks you out of the APN screen, that would be great. I can't figure out what's wrong. Everything else works just as well as the CM10 build, however.

Hey, thanks for directing me here.
In my build im almost positive I had the audio working, but it was really late so im not 100% sure.
Still the same exact issue as far as wifi/no data/cant edit apn's...but I have to assume part of that may be a kernel problem, or like you said, due to possible lacking apk's. I'll mess around with it more tonight though

I'm not so sure it's a kernel problem, because all three of those things are working on the CM10 build. Even when I flash madmack's newest kernel over this build these issues are still not resolved. I'm trying to figure out how to build the APN settings into the ROM to bypass the settings issue.
I'm letting Ubuntu compile straight from PA source at the moment, combined with madmack's git modifications for our phone. However, any recent fixes he made (including fixing call audio) will not be present until he uploads newer versions to his git.

Ahhh, good point. I hadn't gotten to try his newest kernel or updates yet.
While building the APN settings to the ROM may work, I still find it disheartening and a tad irritating that you cant even edit any mobile network selection. That indicates to me that there's a problem more so in the frame work of the ROM (lacking apks, kernel malfunction, etc) that isn't allowing any data to be edited or retrieved.
I've also wondered about flashing an AT&T modem over top the Paranoid ROM . I feel that may be another thing that would explain the inability to edit APN setting and to not have any form of data or WIFI. Though...I don't know why that wouldn't be the case for the current CM10 build...unless its because the Paranoid build was solely intended for the N7100.. Thoughts?
ohhhhh
this would be very good
Just a heads up:
Im planning on merging all the newest material for the most recent cm10 build with paranoid, as well as modifying the att modem to (hopefully) integrate it into the paranoid frame work tonight. If my theory is correct, it should solve most issues with this rom, but may retain some of the most current cm10 issues. If it works ill post a thread in the development section for testing.
Compiling a new build right now.

Has anyone been able to find a 4.3 ROM for your toroplus that has EVERYTHING working?
There is one that comes very close; ParanoidAndroid for AOSP 4.3 but it has data issues. It's a real bummer because the rest of the ROM is outstanding!
Thanks!
From what I understand, there are no 4.3 binaries for the toroplus. Which is why you dont see any 4.3 ROMs popping up like the other versions of the Gnex.

...so I fixed the radio/data bug in the android framework and built one!
Here's a CM 10.2 Nighly from this morning; Built at 2AM PST. I'm in an LTE Area and can verify that both LTE and 3G work just fine.

The only issue is ALL of the mobile network modes are enabled currently, use CDMA/EvDo auto for 3G only and "LTE" for 4G.

Updated my earlier post, but you can flash any n9005 rom in this thread
a little bit out of topic but what are the advantages and disadvantages of flashing a rom that is not for our note? are there any risks other than the obvious "you are responsible for what you do to your device" or "warranty is now void" risks?
1. Advantages are more variety of roms to choose from, the international roms are updated a lot quicker than USA versions(because it was released over there first, I believe latest firmware over there is mj7). Some roms on the N9005 are pre-debloated for you (HAL room is 700mb rom! Omega has same slimness as HAL just got to choose what you want uninstalled/installed thru aroma).
2. Disadvantages, not many really as long as your only flashing the N9005 compatible LTE note 3 and not the incompatible N9000 (octocore exnyos).

Also, some of the features that the carrier offers are sometimes not supported, such as WiFi Calling.

Wifi, bluetooth, gps, and nfc used to not work on international roms until the devs made that patch #2 which automagically patches all the above to work. But yea don't think tmobiles wifi calling will work on International roms.
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda premium
It's a long known issue that WiFi calling won't work with ROMS developed outside of a T-Mobile ROM base. I'm not blessed with enough of an understanding of how it works, but ever since my HTC Vision (G2) I've read about WiFi calling not working on other ported or international ROMs.
Aside from that feature, everything else could technically work. Personally, I like the WiFi calling and prefer to maintain it on my phone's ROM.

Wifi, bluetooth, gps, and nfc used to not work on international roms until the devs made that patch #2 which automagically patches all the above to work. But yea don't think tmobiles wifi calling will work on International roms.

Personally, I like the WiFi calling and prefer to maintain it on my phone's ROM.

im not on t mobile network, im on red pocket and have a t mobile phone... will t mobiles wifi calling still work? if it doesnt, im more than sure there are aftermarket apps that will do the same feature right?
Everything works great! Here's what I got:
Running HAL 9000
Saber Kernel
I did need to add the LTE APN once i booted the rom up.
other than that, this is awesome!
thanks for the info OP!

While promising, no it doesn't work on other networks or carriers.

So dam frustrated. I can't seem to download that patch to get all the radios working. Keep getting a .exe file that's only 300 or so kb. Is the patch posted anywhere else. Stupid false links all over that page. Whoever thinks they can do business by tricking you into pressing the wrong link is a f'ing idiot.

Yeah wifi-calling will never work on international roms. Which is fine because wifi-calling causes more issues than it fixes. The majority of my calls get dropped and it breaks messaging more often than not. PITA.

Mokee has been quietly making lollipop roms without us knowing this whole time. It is so fast, I had to go back to stock kitkat. I had to install cwm touch then install mokee RELEASE (not nightly) you can ota update later. Then install gapps, I installed stock. I swear, this is amazing. Give it a chance. I promise it will impress you! My have MTP issues.

I had a bootloop on philz, I'm assuming it requires cwm.

I had to switch to a rom more compatible with my service freedompop so no pics sorry :c Go to the downloads page. Then look for l900. Then click the most recent release of it not nightly. In top left they have English UK switch. I just found it.

The thing that killed this rim for me is no external kernel support. I never tried shift with it. If you get shift working tell me and I'll join you on this rom [emoji14]

The 2nd snapshot of CM12.1 (10/7) is rock solid. Since they released the first snapshot, I haven't even messed with the nightly game. Works so well it finally got me off CM11, which I didn't think would ever happen.
WiFi interferes with bluetooth, and the animations are broken. I'll give it another try though.

The only time Wifi interferes with bluetooth for me is when I'm using Hotspot function (and actually it's the opposite -- the hotspot won't allow anyone to connect to the internet if bluetooth is on), but that's true even on TouchWiz ROMs I've used. Of course, I'm not using the native hotspot on TouchWiz ROMs, so that could be my problem there. Otherwise, I use a bluetooth headset with wifi on all day with no issues. If you try it again, I hope it works for you. I'm pretty happy with it.

Do the broken Netflix, YouTube playback (video loading error), and scrolling bugs still occur on the cm12.1 snapshot? What bugs are there in the snapshot? Thinking about switching from the nightly and doing a fresh install but only if it's worth it.

I haven't encountered a YouTube playback error or any scrolling bug. From what I've read about the scrolling bug, it seems to be an across the board Lollipop issue...??? I've never encountered it, though. I do know that Netflix doesn't work, but that always seems to be the case with Netflix and custom ROMs on whatever phone I own, so I've pretty much given up watching Netflix on my phone...haha.
I just replaced my aging Note 2 yesterday with an unlocked Nexus 6 64GB. Got tired of the whole Samsung update infinite wait thing (we're now two major OS versions behind), as well as didn't want to have go under another 2 year contract with Sprint. It's going to be nice to always be the first to get the updates now (for a change!).
Use freedompop, its free cell service on the sprint network. I have the YouTube issue and all the ones that I had on the nightly, the nightly was a big jump of small bug fixes though.

I'm probably going to end up on Project Fi.
I really enjoyed seeing Lollipop on the Note 2 and it worked really well for me. I always get way too attached to my phones! Haha. First my HTC Evo 4G and then the Note 2. I tend to hold on to them way too long.
can anybody assist me on obtaining a good rom, kernel, and gapps? please? will be greatly appreciated
