[Q] Optimus G E975 won't stop media scanning after reboot

hello there senior member, i wish somebody could help me..my E975 got a serious problem..after ive done flash stock 4.1.2 jb HK version my phone rebooting as usual..but there is notification ( scanning media files..) appeared and its wont stop..this problem cause me:
***cant install any apps/store files on my phone >>notification appears..(internal storage full) or (wait for media scanning completed)..
ive tried to factory reset but it wont..
ive tried to hard reset but the problem still remains..
ive tried to flash other version..problem still the same..
##please someone teach me on how to return my Optimus in previous action..miss him already..

hi there, i also experienced that kind of problem numerous times and i hope this method can help you revive your phone..
assuming that you already flashed your kdz.
1. do a hard reset (volume down + power button).
2. after boot, dont set up anything just shutdown phone.
3. go to download mode and reflash your kdz.
already tried this method many times and it didnt fail me, hope it works for you..

so many thanks fir the advice..ive done 3 steps u mentioned above but after reboot evrything just fine except ( scanning media files..) wont stop..when i connect to PC there is 0 mb storage..look like the storage stop function as usual..or partition lost/failed..hmmm..any method to try??

Just put ur phone on download mode than open lgtool.. Select recovery phone n insert ur imei than click 'check'.. The toll wil automatically download n flash ur original stock rom.. Tq..
What the original previous rom version of ur phone? I bought my phone on9 n its came with stock rom hong Kong version.. N now ive already flashing Malaysia (my country) stock rom..

mine was F180l, Korean version. I wanted to convert it to Israeli Version E975K, after doing so, I had the endless memory scan problem. later on I installed the European version, and then I had a different problem, text messages didn't work.

Already flashed using KDZ updater with E97510C package + hard reset, root, WIFI worked but my radio can't connect to any telco provider (it look dead).
Also already flash with baseband stuff as your suggested on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42816713#post42816713 @ post #70, n reboot
But still can't connect using SIM Card.
If I re-stocked back to F180L korean version, all working fine.
need your advice..

use LGtool n select recovery..insert your IMEI then click check..the tool will automatically flash your original rom..tq

I also have this problem using any E975 International Stock ROMs. But when using F180K ROMs, I don't have any problems. But before, I don't encounter it.

THE CAUSE OF SDCAR PROBLEM IS A RAMDISK ISSUE. GOOGLE IT. ROM AND KERNEL SHOULD HAVE SAME RAMDISK.. IN UR CASE U FLASH A DIFFERENT ROM BUT SOMEHOW YOUR BOOT.IMG WAS NOT REPLACED PROPERLY. AND SINCE THE RAMDISK OF UR ROM IS DIFFERENT FROM RAMDISK OF KERNEL THERE IS STORAGE ERROR

[HELP!] No signal after flashing Vanir ROM

Hi everyone!
I need help again, I flashed Vanir ROM (http://www.emccann.net/nuclearmistake/VanirAOSPNightlies/geehrc/) but it didnt work, so I flashed it back to Cyanogenmod 11 but forgot to put the sim card back during flashing, but the thing is, after i put the SIM back after flsahing, the SIM card is being detected (it says "No Service - Globe" [Globe is the name of my provider]) but there is no signal. I tried reflashing back to stock ROM... then restored EFS backups... its still not working ("Service Disabled"). I even did a complete wipe, including system folder and reflashing to stock ROM... but its still not working.
Also I tried playing adb earlier because i tried copy/pasting a rom to my phone. i tried adb kill-server, then adb start-server, adb usb, adb devices... did something on these commands affected this issue?

Also, whats weird is that inside my internal storage, there is a folder named '0', it contains my previous storage directory. Its like a copy of the main storage... and also, now, instead of the directory being /sdcard, the directory was changed to /storage/sdcard0...

Could you say which one? I reflashed the baseband, the kdz and even the cwm method by houston...still no signal :\

my phone is F180K, and then i used the kdz from here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=20
my phone back to stock rom with the signal, at last
but when i convert it to e975, the signal is missing again

Finally fixed mine...had to convert it to e975 and flash the f180s modem

In custom roms made for geehrc/mako based u loose signal if u have korean version.. But there is work around in build.prop

but i guess I m doing it wrong

can you please explain to what application should I use to edit, what encoding, and what files?

what if the unit is not original F180??
for LG E975 original Firmware i gues its from US version...... unlocked already via some tools from Google.
then suddenly after i-flash for another firmware lost my entire signal... please help to came baclk my signal.

LG G3 Cannot connect to network after KDZ Flash

Hi,
After using the KDZ method, my LG G3 cannot connect to the network. I get the "service disabled", "no Service" and sometimes it connects to the operator for some seconds. It is important to say that before the flash, the phone was working fine, and connected normally to the network.
Troubleshoot already done:
1 - Firstly, I flashed using the D85520B_00.Kdz file.
2 - When I realized that the error, I thought this might be a version problem, so I downloaded D85510e_00.kdz version and re-flashed downgrading to 4.4.2. However problem remained.
As a comment, I also noticed that it changed from version D855 to D855V.
What should I do?

Either its a problem with the modem or you lost your efs partition
What does it say under IMEI? Does it still show your phone's IMEI

Still, that sounds exactly like a corrupted-EFS problem. But with corrupted EFS, in most cases, IMEI is reset to 0... If you have a backup, try to restore it.
If no or if it still doesn't work, try to flash an other KDZ (with modem inside) or just a standalone modem.
Also, check APN and that kind of software things

Hi.
the IMEI SV is set to 00. The IMEI is XXXXXXX... If I go to Network, it will be searching for service. Actually, I can see the network, but I cannot connect to it. I get the message "Unable to Connect to Network". I have already tried 3 kdz versions, without any success.

Just so we're clear your using CSE flash with the kdz right?

Yes... I used the correct version. I have the version at http://lg-phone-firmware.com/ .. Tried both 20b and 10e, and now 10N.

I have found a lot of threads and people reporting this issue. Bought a D855 32Gb from China that has this problem...
Phone tries to get signal a couple of seconds and then a cross.. and so on..
I tried everything I think, I passed for all the bricks the phone can do: Automatic Reboot / Boot Loop / Fast Boot / Security Error / Factory Reset Status 2 / Dead (QHSUSB_DLOAD) - I can help anyone that has any of those problems : )
In one of the flashes my phone turned to D855RE, similar case to other people, also the message "Current version is not available for user. Can't find matched cust for NT-Code mcc/mnc".
Please if anyone was able to fix the problem report here, there is a lot of people waiting for the answer 20 threads in different networks, I will post the solution in each of those. Thanks!

I suggest you download the LG phone from app and this will give you which Stock Rom is for your phone. Then you need to search For it and install. I have a D855 Taiwan version and that is what i did and now on Stock D85520W.

Thanks for the answer... Yes Im running the version showed by the "LG phone from" App... (D85520t). Also I Updated with original LG Apps... And I tried other KitKat and Lollipop versions.. And Custum Roms... No signal in all of them...

I have same issue looking for answer, I pushed wrong .qcn file now my phone keep searching for network.
I can't restore my original .qcn file give me error "Phone return unknown command"
I have Canadian D852, so far tired to restored with Rogers & bell .tot file but no luck same issue.

Someone found a solution yet?

Got the same situation. Tried a lot of modem, upgrading to MM, then downgrading to LP, then to CandySix and CloudyG3.
Also tried changing in Buildprop. still Service Disabled.

I am Having issue with updating my Lg G pro f240s

Hello all
I have LG G Pro f240s, (please see screenshots attached) it shows me a note that system updates are available but when I finish downloading the updates it says "phone rooted" , I tried to unroot it by instaling "supersu" (because supersu does have this option to unroot)
but supersu is saying that the phone is not properly rooted !
what I understood is that my phone is partially rooted !!
Notes: :
I think My phone is Korean because when I reset it it starts with Korean language.
The phone files in my computer shows like are corupted. (see attached pic)

Please help me unroot my phone to instal the updates or if there is anyway to get rid of this adds forever (I tried many antiviruses but still about 4 viruses cannot be deleted)

I didn't use it because I have had an LG G2 few weeks ago and I flashed it with LG flashtool with a wrong flash and I broke it :/ ,so I am afraid to repeat the same mistake again.
My phone is (SK telecom) it is the korean version , when I tried to update it with Lg flashtool it gave me question marks everywhere ??? (see attachements please)
Note that I am not in Korea ,will that effect the updates ? , I mean will the lg server send me another version according to the place I live in ?!
Can any one assist me please?

Have you tried it on another pc? It works fine on my pc with win 7.
And yep, you can update your phone streat away to lollipop with lgflashtool.

I tried in anothe Windows xp pc but still not working
then I installed another windows 7 ( My previous windows version is "W 7 Orient 2")
at first it gave me an error message ,so I went very upset
I found a thread on the net saying that you have to disconnect from the internet while using the flash tool ,
I did so and gess what it worked ? I upgraded to kitkat first then to lolipop
everything worked well at first , but now after reseting the phone I have a little issue with the network
here it is :
I have to 2 sim cards of 2 diferrent providers ( X and Y. ... X sim card is working properly while Y sim card does not ! ?! weard huh !
the most weard thing is that I tried my friend's sim card with same provider as mine Y sim card and it worked on my phone, fine ,so I was thinking may be my sim card is broken ,which is not true because I am using it now on another phone and it works fine
what can be the problem ? knowing that my phone is the korean version with SKTelecom carrier
I am happy with my phone now but it will be much better if I solve this issue of the network

Help save a bricked lg g3

My issues is quite complicated. Please be patient and read on.
Less than a week ago, I bought an LG G3 D855. It wasn't brand new and definitely out of warranty.
It was on the 4.4.2 Os version but I couldn't update it because I couldn't locate the UPDATE CENTER and after some research online, I found out it was because it was rooted. I couldn't find a Supersu application anywhere on the phone anyways but Root checker confirmed that it was rooted.
I downloaded the stock kitkat firmware in a .tot format and I tried flashing using LG Flash Tool for TOT but it failed because "Device version is different"
I checked the Imei online and it stated that the device is a Sprint LS990 but the details embedded in the phone all say it is D855
I checked online and found a couple of posts about this error and one user said he was able to fix it by flashing the actual Sprint .tot with the lg flash tool. I tried that but it didn't work. It still said "Device version is different. Check BIN or dll"
I checked online and found results pointing to a generic .dll file for G3s and I downloaded it but when I used it on the Flash tool, it resulted to an error "CrossDL blah blah"
So I found a Marshmallow kdz file. LGUP won't see my device model so I was able to flash it after editting the software in my build.prop to D85510n.
***I have always changed the port to COM41 in all the steps I used
The LG UP detected my model and it flashed to 100% but got stuck on a bootloop by loading the lg screen, freezing and restarting by it self. It never gets to the homescreen.
I downloaded lollipop kdz reflashed using LGUP in a form of downgrade and it got to 100% and got stuck at the lg screen while trying to reboot.
I redownloaded the stock kitkat rom and used the Lg flash tool but it failed. It said 'PID null IMEI Null"
I used LGUP to reflashed. It came to my understanding that the LGUP can flash both kdz and tot. So it flashed to 100% but got stuck at the lg screen and I have tried all I can but it is stuck. It can go into download tho. I don't know what to do about the IMEI. I don't know if the last flash retrieved it. I don't kniw what to do.
It no longer shows as LGE AndroidNet USB Serial
Please can anyone help me?
I just need my phone to work again. I was stubborn and now I regret it. I should have just stuck to kitkat. I'm so desperate to get my phone working that I wouldn't mind Android Froyo Os if it was ever possible.

It boot until home screen but after a while black screen and it s hard to power on it again. Then need to wait a time to boot it again.

Got the same problem now (with my wife's phone). I'd appreciate it if instead of helping people privately you'd tell everyone what to do to fix the problem.

I had the same problem, downloaded .tot file via IMEI check (can't remember where from) and used that .tot file with BoardDiag, flashed everything as in tutorial (google it), it was 4.4.2 Android, couldn't update it (software is up to date) so I rooted it, flashed twrp 3.0.0 and installed Fulmics 8.0, it works now just fine
