best galaxy nexus case

hi my fellow XDA members i recently have been going through cheap cases of eBay because i cant find the rite one.i bought one last night by diztronic and it looks promising,i also bought one called case mate i seen on YouTube and that also looks promising but expensive! im going to send one of them back.my perfect case would be a tight fitting gel that is durable but not tpu but more of a stiff gel.anyone come across anything that resembles that? thanks

Diztronic or Cruzerlite Androidified A2. I'm currently using a diztronic with no issues. The Androidified is really cool as well just ordered 3

Just bought one of those androidified A2 cases. I'm glad I asked here because I looked all over Amazon and ebay and didn't see that case. Thanks a lot

Both are high quality TPU cases. Im using the Diztronic now. Have 3 Cruzerlites on order waiting to be shipped.The Cruzerlites have ridges on the side for grip and a cool android on the back. Diztronic is matte and gloss and offers good protection. May replace the diztronic after i get the cruzerlite...haven't seen anything like it.

I had been using the diztronic tpu version 1 until I got a rearth ringke slim in the matte black color. Haven't taken the rearth off since.

Casemate Tough or Otterbox Commuter coupled with Carbon Fiber Ghost Armor & your choice of screen protector. I've spent Alot of money on cases/skins and this is the best combo for me. TPU'S are also a great value for light protection but my daily setup is the CM Tough & Carbon Fiber Ghost Armor with a Ghost Armor screen protector. These companies customer service is amongst the best in the industry.

The Diztronic TPU case is awesome. I just got mine today and it fits nicely, no shifting cutouts are perfect and adds a good visual appeal to the phone.

i exchanged a noname TPU case for a casemate barely there and much happier about it...phone weighs almost half and case is good enough for light protection.
besides, it's quite classy, TPU or casemate tough don't do justice to the Nexus...

+1 The Matte Black back is much nicer than I had expected to be, and the glossy rim around the front bezel is very generous, and the overall feel of the case is quite classy IMO.

Hey guys I wanted to buy a case mate pop case cuz I like how it looks but I remember hearing somewhere on here that they aren't selling them right now because they are making revisions on them. I seen a few on amazon still and I been tempted to buy one but does anyone know what these revisions are? Like is there something really wrong with the cases?

The current 1G version doesn't have the hole for the camera's microphone. The CM Toughcase and Barely There version does. I don't know why it wasn't included in the first iteration. Laziness, perhaps?

I'm using the OtterBox Defender Case. If you're not a fan of bulky cases it's probably not for you but, it's perfect for what I need it for.

Damn. To me it does seem like laziness lol I guess ill just wait for the revision model

What would be the best bang-for-the-buck casing/protection for the S3?

Isn't Otterbox too bit of the rugged type? I feel that it sets the style of the S3 back which is why I don't like it, but that's just me. Any other good cases out there?

Well yes,but as an owner of a high end high price phone do you want style or protection?
i would prefer the second one if i were you...

A cheap eBay tpu case works for me, alongside an insurance policy (I've never claimed for a phone)

Without a doubt, Diztronic.
For $10 you get a very high quality TPU case, you can feel it running your fingers along the case. But do not order the clear white. Like any other transparent TPU cases in the market, it will turn yellow sooner or later.

My cheap white case as turned p#ss colour yellow so I'm also on the hunt for a decent case that doesn't add to much bulk

I like the cruzerlite. Its cheap slim has good grip and looks good

from what ive been seeing..best bang for the buck has to be the diztronic.
if you want something rugged the otterbox defender for is on amazon for $30 not a shabby deal for what it is imo

Since you said protection, all tpu style cases will hold there own for a couple drops. But sooner or later they will crack.
If you want protection that'll last the life of the phone otterbox,trident,ballistic offer maximum protection cases and offer some other cases with less. protection.
I have the trident kraken on my s3, if you ask me I'll gladly drop my phone do demonstrate how this case holds up. So far over 50 drops on various surfaces, both phone and case still look brand new.

Got myself a cheap unbranded TPU/PC case for £3.19 off eBay and looks reasonably good and gives as much protection as any thin(ish) case is ever gonna give.

I've got about 4 cases ranging from $30 to $2.50. I've had 4 different TPU cases for the S3: Mercury, Diztronic (matte black), Boxwave, (all about $10) and iGadgitz ($3). I liked the cutouts on the Diztronic the best but it was too slippery, ultimately I settled on the cheapest one, the iGadgitz, for daily use. The Mercury case was my next favorite, then Diztronic. Boxwave should not be considered.

PDAIR Belt Pouch

I have a defender, but would really like to go with a nice pouch I can wear on my belt. I'd just use a simple tpu case with it.
The problem is in not seeing a lot of pouch cases. Anyone see one that is designed for the one?

I have been using my Nexus 4 Seidio Active holster with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and now using it with an i-Blason CandyGel hybrid tpu case. Works great until the official holster comes out for the N5.

This a great buy! I am amazed at the quality of the case with such a low cost.

Just ordered the n5 seidio combo. Just got tied of using the spigen and S4 seidio holster. Just didn't fit right

This is my first day with my nexus 5 and I love it. I have a spigen slim armor case for it and like that to. The only thing is that the lip around the screen is very thin and I do not know if it would protect against a drop. I also have an iloome flex glass screen protector. Do any of you know if otter box or trident will make cases for the nexus 5. I am worried it will break with what I have on it now.

Otter box says they don't have any plans on making a case for us. I-bason and ballistic , sedio all make some great cases. I also have the slim armor I feel safe enough with its lip. But on the other hand you do have a glass screen protector which will surly be closer to the lip.

I-Blason Armorbox is what I have. Being an electrician my phone takes some knocks every now and then. With this case on it feels indestructible

Don't have one, but if I have to use it, I would definitely give the Tech21 case a try (you may wanna read through page 3 for more pics)
Some drop test videos in YouTube are quite impressive.

Thank you for giving suggestions. Do you guys think I will be OK with an iloome .12 mm glass screen protector and the slim armor also do you know of and slim armor drop tests?

I just retired my i-blason case. Unfortunately the corner rubbers started to pop off and yesterday I couldn't find one of the rubber corners. The phone doesn't fit tight and snug in the case. Now I'm rockin tech21 case. So far so good.

Pretty and nice flexible....

I have the Ballistic SG Maxx and while it's pretty bulky, it gets the job done. It comes with a holster which is always a plus. I got it on amazon for $25.

I have the Ballistic SG Maxx too, I love it. It's a little bulky but feels solid. The only con for me is the hard screen protector, I love the idea, but it feels a little odd, and takes a little time to settle on the screen.
I think I might order the AEGIS. It looks promising but I wanna see some reviews first.

I would choose the Ballistic Tough Jacket MAXX (SG MAXX) for protection. I own this case and I am very satisfied with it. The only concern I have is that it attracts lint easily.
From reading reviews, I have learned that the Urbanite's coat of paint can peel off.
The Incipio Dualpro looks cheap and flimsy. The reviews are not good for it so I would not buy it.

i like the Trident N5 case I had a trident for my evo 3d many moons ago.. i always rocked otter box defender most of the time.. think ima go with the trident soon.. looks sweet
