[Q] just a general question about Android Tablets - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Okay so I love my S4, I also love the community here surrounding the development for the S4. I am currently looking at tablets to get. I am wondering what some suggestions for a good tablet that has community support much like the S4 has. Such as rooting and installing custom Roms onto the tablet.
Thanks everyons

The Galaxy Tab 3 is popular with my customers and the forum looks good.

It's a whole thread devoted to discussion of other devices, specifically to keep extra threads like this out of the forums.
That said....Samsung Tab 2 or Tab 3. I've got a Tab 2 and love it. It's easily just as customizable at the S4. The new Tab 3s have an even better screen in them and are already getting popular with developers.

I'll second the Nexus 7 (2013) since I've had a good experience with it and the support. I keep my S4 so I can do Samsung things on it and the Nexus to play around with stock android. If you really like Samsung and the touchwiz ui, go for the tab.

What's The Best Verizon Galaxy Nexus JB ROM

I just got my Nexus 7 in the mail on Tuesday and I love it and I was thinking about switching Roms on my galaxy nexus and I had jellybean roms on my mind to switch to since I'm so used to it from the Nexus 7 and I wanted to know whats the best one out by far thanks

Just try them and see which you like. You're going to get responses from someone on every single ROM... There's no perfect or best ROM out there. Its all personal taste.
U right I just wanted to know what is the top preferred one b4 I start running through them all

I heard good things about Bugless Beast and have been very happy.
Only one I tried and have no reason to switch.

There is no real point in these 'best rom threads', as mentioned before, it's based on opinion. Some will like X rom, some will like Y. Some won't like any... it's just a matter of searching the development sections (AND NOT POSTING THIS THERE!!) and deciding on what you feel you'd like. Some include certain features that others don't. Lets bare that in mind

Should I upgrade to S4 or not?

I have the S3, and S4's 441 ppi Screen is tempting me, but won't our GS3, have those features through a ROM? So should I upgrade or not?
Probably not. Unless you want Touchwiz running on the latest and greatest android build the GS4 is probably not the best way to go if you already have a GS3. Not to mention all those new features will be gone the minute you flash an aosp ROM. So YES if you want Toichwiz on the latest android version (4.2.2) but NO if you're an aosp guy or if you can handle waiting for the new features to be released on the GS3.

If in fact our tmobile s3 do not have an LTE radio then I myself might switch. I currently have the note 2 as well and I'm not 100% happy with either phones.

hmm feel like not worth to upgrade it
too few improvement
S4 is too much like the note 2.
Only plus for me is the quad core.
Transmitted from my SGH-T999.
I'll be upgrading to an S4, without replacing my existing S3 phone.
Outside the 1080P display, the TV remote and some biometric sensors, I'll have the same phone!
Samsung has already been quoted as releasing the software apps that do not require specific S4 hardware for the S3 and Note II. Look for it later this year.
Well if you're getting it for development don't count on many also Roms as cm team have already mentioned that they are not supporting the gs4. :/

[Daydreaming] S4 Google Edition port for N2

I know a lot more will be known once the S4 Google Edition is in dev's hands but I was just casually wondering how it would impact the Note 2 development of a stock rom. I don't know the chances of the S4GE using the Exynos 5 chipset but if so hopefully it would help the devs out even more.
As someone who used the CM10.1 nightlies for a while and now switched to CleanRom, I'm just sort of daydreaming what having a Note II Nexus would be like...
Here's your answer

S4 vs HTC One? (3rd party support)

I'm in the market for a new device. My S3 is dying, and I want to get a new device. I am aware that the Nexus 5 and other smartphones are coming out, but they won't have the ROM maturity that I'd get from day one with either a S4 or HTC One. So, my question is as follows:
Which phone has better ROM support at this point, the S4 or the One? What I mean by support, is that which one would be more stable, and more "open". I know they are both Qualcomm, so I'd imagine they'd be equally as stable and open.
Thanks for any suggestions/advice!
Both are excellent phones and you can't go wrong with either one. Your decision should depend on the top three or four things you want from a phone. Both have reputable devs and themers. I originally wanted the HTC one, but I'm very happy with the s4 (either on stock TW or GE)

The T-Mobile s4 has more devs and roms.

Rom Development

Can anyone help explain the lack of Rom development on the 10.1 ? Those who have had it would you recommend returning it for the note 8.0 ?

I'm wishing I had got the tab 2 10.1 instead of this. I thought there would be more intrest in development by now. My last tab was the dell streak 7, and I just can't believe I have bought another orphan. At least samsung says we are getting kitkat. It's just so disheartening to see all those choices of custom roms in the tab 2 10.1 forum.
