I am unable to return to stock because the file hosting site that hosts ODIN and the tar file has been taken down. The FAQ points to QBKing77's site for the tar and that is hosted on HotFile, which has been taken down. The link to download ODIN, which is on a thread here on XDA, is also hosted on HotFile. Where else can I get the stuff needed for returning to stock?

you could always use this from this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1904099. you dont need odin just your phone and sd card. make sure you read the page and download the one for your phones size. if you really want to go odin way, ill see if i can dig up the file on my pc for you.

So I followed the sticky on rooting my friends SGS3 but I cannot get odin 3.04 to read the CWM-Recovery-LTE-SGS3-Sprint-v5.zip file. It doesnt even show up at all when I open the pda section to select the file. I even tried to rename it from .zip to .tar and .tar.md5 but even with .tar it detects it but it wont flash it it has an error. On the phone it has red letters that say something like unsupported dev_type.
i used this..

I would personally go with this method. I never use QBKing's videos, but I'm thinking its the same one he uses.
I'm to lazy to look up the file names but you are either trying to load a .zip into Odin when you need to extract a .tar file, or you are trying to load a .zip file meant to be flashed in recovery instead of Odin.
EDIT: Actually, I used this method. At the time I tried it was by far the easiest I saw. Just download the .zip in that thread, unzip it, load it in Odin, root.

Could you link us to the method you are using, or pick one of the many methods we suggested and we'll try and get you through it?
Hello Again. I suggest, if you DO NOT WANT TO BRICK YOUR PHONE, following the video by QBKing77. Also, this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726558 (link) will help you feel at home.
Hello all. I have posted this problem/question before but received no help. So im posting it again. I recently rooted my S3 and installed cyanogenmod and decided I like touchwiz so I decided to unroot it. So I installed triangle away to delete any traces of root and the process was completed nicely. Then I flashed a stock rom that I downloaded online. Then I did a stock factory reset. But it doesnt feel right. There are slight graphics glitches with opening some apps. Like opening facebook messanger will display white and black lines untill it loads up. I tried the whole reinstall thing and no help. There are other similar glitches. Can anyone help me? I want my s3 fully stock like it was straight from att.

I would try another file download location (which you did not specify where you downloaded from). You might also try and redownload and ensure to do an MD5 check. Of course this means factory resetting again and ODIN.
If nothing else, download rooted ROM from Mr.Robinson's post and unroot it. This will keep your flash counter as is.

Follow this thread for downloading stock roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968625. After unzipping most should end with the file name .md5. ODIN will do the md5 check automatically for you. Just pay attention to the prompts.
If you find that this does not work, go here and download rooted rom to be flashed via ODIN. You can then remove root.
If the file is not ODIN flashable with an md5 at the end, look for a long string of digits and letters that should be right by the download. A good example to know what I am talking about is to take a look at the site for rooted stock roms. Notice the md5 under the Old image AT&T file download link. Download and extract this file and follow the directions.

I'm trying to download a stock tmobile firmware for my sg4 because of softboot. Is there a fast way to download this other than rapidgator.net? It is giving me an 18 hour download time which is rediculous. I've been going through forum threads for hours trying to find a better option. Can anyone please help me?
Thank you in advance

NOTE: The Stock M919UVUEMK2_M919TMBEMK2_M919UVUEMK2_HOME.tar.md5.
Flashing this firmware will Trigger KNOX if it's not already triggered & it might void the warranty.
Here is the direct download link for the stock Odin flash firmware for your phone:
https://www.copy.com/s/OIgoiGFwiV7gZ...MBEMK2_TMB.zip
This is a fast download link. It took me less than 20 minutes to download.
When done downloading extract the TAR MD5 file from the zipfile.
M919UVUEMK2_M919TMBEMK2_M919UVUEMK2_HOME.tar.md5 file.
Don't worry about the MD5 filename extender, Odin will recognize it as a proper TAR.
Put Your Phone Into Download Mode and flash the rom, once the TAR firmware is successfully
flashed, Odin flash the CF-Autoroot TAR file and the TWRP custom recovery TAR file below.
Remember, before Odin flashing anything un-check the auto-reboot in Odin for best results.
When done flashing, reboot the phone after each odin flash by using the power button only.
Download cf-autoroot and odin flash it, but be sure you uncheck the checkmark in odin which says
"auto reboot" before flashing. (unzip cf-autoroot so you get the TAR file which odin needs)
After flashing cf-autoroot use the power button to power off the phone.
Here is the direct download link for cf-autoroot: (unzip cf-autoroot & extract the TAR file for Odin)
http://download.chainfire.eu/328/CF-...mo-sghm919.zip
After that's done you need to odin flash TWRP custom recovery.
Here is the direct download link for TWRP custom recovery TAR file.
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/jfl...1-jfltetmo.tar
After you are done flashing TWRP the phone should work properly without any further issues.
I would highly suggest that after your phone is working properly make a nandroid backup of the rom in
TWRP recovery before you change any settings, adding/installing or flashing any mods, themes or apps.
Good luck!
You sir are awesome, phone is back up and running. Thank you very much I hit the thank button and will send you a donation on payday!!!

Okay.... look at the post right before your first post here.
I've got AOSP installed on my SGH-M919 so it looks and feels like a 9505 GPE. I want to go back to stock. I'm trying to flash with ODIN and it keeps failing. From what I can tell I just need to flash the PIT file in addition to the tar.md5 file. Unfortunately all I can find is a crappy rapidgator link that's going to take ~20 hours to download a complete ZIP file with a bunch of extraneous crap (beyond the PIT file).
I want to know if there's a place to get just the tiny PIT file? Maybe there's a better place to download the full ZIP file than RapidGator? I've tried google. I've tried XDA search. "Help me forum posts, you're my only hope."
Try this link. let me know if it works.
http://www.tsar3000.com/Joomla/inde...roid-mobile-phones&catid=55:samsung&Itemid=82
Thanks... but unfortunately my answer is "nope - neither the M919 or the M919n links worked." I got to an ultraspammed 4shared download page with a 20 second counter that never counted down. I tried every link and they were either an unrelated clicktrap ad or an attempt to steal various social network permissions.

Forget about pit.
Just flash this one
https://mega.co.nz/#!k1gEzDgQ!nDZe4sVHm9UEeZOaC1UKAxUnoLmQZGYCQ5VLvX6dFag
via odin PDA or AB(if odin 3.09)
THE MOST important that your cable is connected to you PC straight, w/o any usb hubs
If odin fails - change the cable, 99% your cable is bad
and you'll be fine on latest firmware/baseband
for root and knox look here

This is in the wrong forum.
My S6 was on OI1 or the latest FW for my, did some stuff, try to install a modded camera and that didn't working, restoring the backup of the camera didn't work so I decided to flash a ROM, didn't work, won't boot(stuck on SprintSpark yellow logo). Now the only way I reckon I can save the phone is if I can Odin flash a stock tar FW img. Where can I find these?
edit: ended up having to pay up for premium on Sammobile to get the official tar, worth it, my phone is working now.
Can you upload the official tar?
