[Request] Sound Mod for KitKat 4.4.1/4.4.2 - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

With the updates from Google knocking door's everyday..I guess we are losing out on mods and addons that made our nexus 4 such an awesome device to own. And one major such things is a good sound mod...we had to have viper4android and noozxoide rewire for this before...but now, no drivers for V4A and FC on noozxoide..:crying::crying:
Any solutions guys...or a good audio player...

You can try DSP manager... Or install faux kernel and use faux sound. Or Franco's kernel and tune sound with FKU. Or wait

Use math kids kernel, or faux123s. They have faux123s superb sound mods which are adjustable
Sent by reversed alian technology.

I'm on CM11 and I've been using AK's latest kernel. It has everything I need. It's like a combination of the good stuff from all the kernels.

Awesome Beats V3 modified DSP manager for nexus 4
Since getting my nexus 4 the only thing i had wanted was DSP manager after ALOT of searching i discovered that the modified DSP manger 'Awesome beats v3" by team inferno works on android 4.2
HOWEVER it had a major flaw in that it broke the default Music FX; this was not ideal.
ALL i have done is modified the flashable .zip so that it will no longer break AOSP MusicFX that came with the Nexus 4.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
- ensure that your phone is unlocked and Clockwork Recovery is installed
- download the .zip
- flash with clockwork
- ensure Awesome beats is selected in settings -> sound -> Music Effects
- Enjoy more tweaks for your music

I've just added this app to the Nexus 4 Complete Index

I was on stock and rooted 4.2 and the OTA failed. I wiped and flashed only the audio mod and it failed again. Wiped 100% virgin and it worked fine.
Looks like the audio patch prevents OTA updates
doesn't work on 4.2.1

Did you go to settings >sound>music effects and change it to awesome beats™?
Does the patch prevent OTA updates or not, can anyone confirm please.
Poweramp work with this mod?

DSP manager should affect all audio sources not just the music player. it may be hard to tell on youtube tho because various audio sources are used and not all are good quality.
also i have not been able to test with 4.2.1 yet so im not sure if there are any issues but i will test it once my replacement N4 arrives next Tuesday.

[MOD] CM DSPManager Universal ZIP v4.7 (JB 4.3/4.2.2)

Hi guys!
Personally I'm a fan of CM DSPManager (better sound and options than MusicFX),so I made a flashable zip for other ROMs other than CM :highfive:
Just flash on your favorite recovery and profit (it will remove crappy MusicFX.apk)
Just try!
NEW: v4.6 support for JB 4.3, universal script works with N7, N4, Gnex, NS and probably others :good:
i assume it should work on PA with no problems am i right?!

Works just fine in AOKP, the issue are those players you used, probably they are not using Android Standard Sound Framework.
Tried with Google Music and MX Player, works great

It should yes, if it's deodexed. Don't know about odexed.
I keep getting crashes. Any time i launch a music player it will say dspmanager has stopped working followed by an eizo has stopped working error.
I have always loved dspmanager, and you have made my freaking day. Absolutely fantabulous.

Audio mods Liquid&AOKP task

OK I'm just trying to find our why a specific audio mod works perfectly on one ROM and not the other.. For example...
I'm using KingBeatz audio mods
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31355027
Here the scenario I can flash these mod. One has audioFX which will improve PowerAmp,Pandora etc.
One mod is basically a hard core Modified DSP manager Known as Beatz.
If am on liquidsmooth I can remove the current DSP built in and flash both mods but I will lose the audioFX sound enhancement on Liquidsmooth basically just leaving The modified DSP.
But if I flash both mods on Tasks AOKP it will keep both audio enhancements so it makes it a universal System wide AudioMod.
Does any one have any input on why the mods will work on one ROM vs another???

Use this mod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39156703
Works on every ROM.
I went from Beats, to Ac!d then ClearAudio+ but this tops them all.
Works with all apps players. And made for External,Headset and Bluetooth devices. Check it out.
Galaxy S3 / AoCP / V4A / Turbocharged

Thru power amp you'll need to go to settings audio, advanced tweaks and disable direct volume control. Then use the Viper app to get the desired sound.
It should work on Pandora as well since its not just an equalizer that stick with a music player but an overall app that works with anything that comes out of headphones, loudspeaker or Bluetooth

[Q] Which sound mod Acid Audio or Viper 4 Android?

Which one do you prefer? Thank you

Viper all day long
Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk 2
I use stock sounds from CyanogenMod. The built in DSP manager let's me achieve almost any sound possible. IMO I don't need any proprietary hacky sound mods.

Viper. .
Its WAY more than CM10 DSP
Its blows away a Beats EQ.
The only other I would recommend is
ClearAudio+ but even that doesn't even come close to Viper
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Viper has tons more features

I completely agree with klin1344 for this device. If you're on a rom that uses DSP Manager, give it a chance. It's superb.
My HTC One was an entirely different story, but this isn't the One Forum.

Viper, i tried dsp manager but prefer viper.
Viper ALL the way. Just convolver alone is worth switching over for.
Viper actually affects other apps (pandora being the biggest for me) dsp manager and ac!d do not. I prefer the Viper install over that of Ac!d too.

Kernel for improved / louder audio

I just acquired this device and I'll be the first to admit that I do like the beats equalized sound....opposed to most people.
Is there a kernel that can also have a volume increase?
Thanks, any help getting more volume and beats type sound would be great.

No need to look any further.
Viper 4 Android
Beats any sound mod in any kernel unless it's viper

If you are on Jelly Bean 4.3 this mod will not work.
Well, i used to have Beats+XLouder mod on my JB 4.2. I just did a fresh install to JB 4.3 and i'm willing to try another mod.
